Posts: 68For the vaccine card or anything you need to bring up quick, just take a screenshot and use that. No need to mess with any apps.
Regarding the new law / situation, I don't see this law staying for too long. Maybe it's just there for the holiday season cause they will put up decorations in the Plaza. I remember they had the decorations last year with fewer people in the Plaza cause of covid and curfews. I don't think they will bother the clubs with the new law. They prob just want give the streets a clean look. Scaring tourist, even sex tourists, will have an economic affect on the city. Now also doing this to keep money out of the street vennies hands, I understand. Colombian chicas prob complaining they loosing work to undocumented vennies, or vennies in general.
And what does the new designation do in the long run? Are you no longer allowed back in the country forever? Suspended for a brief period? Won't know till someone gets it and I know just the group that will and where it'll be posted when they get it.

Posts: 636I forgot to add to my previous post.
Some genius decided to dress as a Arab prince and walk around Centro with fake police (yes, they were wearing vests and had "Police" Velcro tags instead of "Policia") drawing a crowd and having them follow him while some other genius was recording on a phone. They decided to do this walking right by Space / Dolce. SMH.
These new restrictions just may be a good thing.

Posts: 636Covid vaccine card requirement
Nothing special to add to tonight "Wednesday" but just a heads up to future mongers.
My friend and I saw fireworks shooting up from Centro so we decided to go and see what's going on. So by the time we got there its over thanks to the flooding from the rain earlier causing cabs to drive through the high water and breaking down (we are coming from El Laguito). The Clock tower was barricaded off and no chicas anywhere but to be fair it is a Wednesday night and not a Weekend. We then decided to check out Dolce since it was about 8 pm and we can get first pick at the chicas when the bouncer at the door asked for vaccine card. Now, I'm ready to argue the fuck they talking about because they always pull some shit when we want to go in but then he points at the sign on the door and lo and behold it says as of the 3rd of November entry is prohibited unless you present your vaccine card. I can't argue with a sign that's in plain English jajaja. So we go to get the cards on our phones. Mine comes up and I'm good to go, my friend however vaccine card mysteriously disappeared from the NYS Wallet app now he have to redo all the instructions to get the card back. But we finally got in and just a bunch of girls standing around and the surprising thing is that I recognize many of the girls from my prior trips in the year but now many of them went and got fake tits. SMH. Such a let down, so we left and went over to Space, the guys at the door already know us by face and don't even ask for Vaccine card or pat us down and just waves us in to enjoy the chicas.
So as a heads up to the unvaccinated, Dolce is a no go unless you can work your way around it.

Haven't been reading the CTG board until today since I was planning a trip in mid December. Had a great time in 2015. Reading about this crackdown is sad, but more sad is that it sounds like tourists are coming in hoards and without any discretion. Has the same demographic of American tourists that overran Sousa now started coming to CTG in large packs acting loud and stupid and then posting and bragging about it on YouTube and social media? If so then maybe the crackdown is a good thing. Sucks that I may need to cancel my trip.

Can't say I am surprised. I was there about three weeks ago and the general behavior of night time people there seemed different than in years past.
I used to go a lot to Cartagena and it was a lot more fun before the Vennie invasion. One night last month I found myself on that one block where LDV and Space is located. I was completely harassed by touts and women while walking over there, literally coming out of the doorways, doubling up on me, and crossing the street in an aggressive manner viewing me as a mark. On that particular occasion, I must have been hit on by ten not so pretty girls walking over from Plaza Madrid. It seemed to be a real low rent crowd too. It happened on the other street where Delirium is located as well. It was similar anti-social behavior with woman grabbing me — just a pure money grab — and I think many were Vennies. You used to never see girls in that area in prior years and they mainly stuck close to the plaza. Many of the touts struck me as a potentially dangerous due to their aggressive and at times hostile behavior. You know how it is, they follow you to the entry of LDV, for example, then try to get a payoff from the door for bringing you there even though I ignored them the entire time. I think it's a matter of time before there is an unfortunate incident involving a foreigner.
In years past, I don't even remember meeting a Vennie. They were usually girls from Medellin, Bucaramanga, or Cali and many were pretty nice, sometimes college students etc. , and had some memorable times. On this last trip, I did not encounter that type of lady; instead I got the feeling they were mostly trying to hustle you or worse.
Hopefully, this crackdown is short lived and rids the town of some of these bad elements.

Posts: 636Anyone flying JetBlue out of JFK prepare for a new annoyance. They did the usual no bag drop unless you show CheckMIG filled out but then once I got to the gate they made everyone line up to check if they had CheckMIG filled out before boarding. I was confused as fuck because they kept saying line up to have your documents ready but my boarding pass was on my phone so I was confused. I skipped the line because I already have it filled out and they tell me I don't have a check on my boarding pass. So I tell the lady this is my third time for the year and every time is something different what's next a drop of blood LOL. We laugh back and forth so I show her the CheckMIG email, scan my board pass and was on the plane. Passed the info onto my friend since he was coming Tuesday and he said they did the same shit to him about a smiley face on his boarding pass and because people didn't have their shit together that whole process made his plane depart 15 minutes late but he arrived 5 minutes early LOL.
For my first 2 days I've just been relaxing in the apartment with one of my regular chicas waiting for my friend to land. On my first day here, she told me to be careful because there is HIV going around due to increased tourists coming for sex and cops are looking for the girls to stop the spread. Of course I call bullshit, but her tactic worked because I only had her till Tuesday night. Tuesday we tried to go to La Serrezuela to eat and they asked for documents, we gave them our passport cards, then they asked for vaccine card and we looked at each other like WTF. Luckily we had the apps that had our cards inside. I then asked the hostess when did they start asking for vaccine cards because we were here in August and didn't have to show anything, she said they just started asking for cards on the 15th. (just a heads up to those not vaccinated, you may be asked to show the card or denied entry to restaurants).
Went out to the pussy triangle at Tuesday night. Lots of police at he clock tower. Barricades too. Very few girls walking around the clock tower, many inside Space and Dolce though. We both grabbed something out the club and headed back to the apartment to chill. Wednesday came around, rain, thunder, lighting. A wasted day so its just hanging out in the apartment until night time to head out and see what's out there.
Heads up for those coming in. Duty Free was stocked up on Titos $23 a piece and Ciroc 2 for $72.
Stay safe fellow mongers and don't get caught up an any bullshit here with these new enforcements.

Looks like the people that say they blend in and look like a local will have an advantage. They will not appear to be a foreigner looking for hookers, but a local looking for hookers.

They can make the bars stick to the occupancy levels, all the Venezuelans can easily be run off. They're bring in extra cops, military support and talking about deporting people and givthem an undesirable label. This is change. Not a stage.

It's not the end of the world because you can get take-away from various sites plus apps like Tinder will have plenty on offer.
In any case, it will be interesting to read the recent experiences of Cartagena.
