Yo I can't open pictures to see them bigger but the hair looks the same. Anyway I already left Cartagena. Its not how it was when I was there before. Everything is more expensive, hotels, girls, food, activities and club restrictions. Only Space and ISIS was open and hardly had girls. I found a different girl for 500.000 COP an hour who had similar a similar hairstyle. Not the best decision but pickings were slim to none on looks alone.

Good job on the IG record. That was smart. FWIW, my gal loves the mayor. She is thrilled that the clock tower area and the hookers there have been shut down. Apparently, the mayor has set up a hot line to report crimes. I googled and it could not find it.

Remember the Obama Secret Service scandal? A chick has sex with a well muscled secret serviceman and tries to shake him down for $800 and hotel security wrote up the incident and the SS agents got in trouble? Or the one with the monger guy Dubliner on here who had a similar incident where he called the police when the hookers would not leave and the police told him to give the hookers the money? Yeah, I do not think you are going to be seeing the police doing that anymore. At this point, I would actually be in favor of filing police reports as the mayor actually seems to be trying to do something about it versus taking the side of hookers and thieves. It was not too long where I read they had a Cartagena police chief actually involved with the hooker trade.

I am not sure if it is the crime crack down but the number of civilian hotties on the streets has never been higher. Beauties were everywhere.

The pico and placa system that is in place in Bogota to control traffic was implemented in Cartagena. Traffic was way down. It was nice. I am not sure how long that is in effect.

Other new thing was having to take your shoes off at the airport in Colombia with security like in the USA. Not sure why that started now but it is what it is.

I've been here for 2 weeks. I have 1 more week to go. Big fucking mistake on my part. This Holy Week is the worst. Everybody and their dog is out here. After a few days of Cartagena I left with my chica to the Pablo water Park thinking I would get away from certain things, nope. Shit was packed beyond packed.

I got caught up in that shit too getting extorted by the cops where they put the check point going into El Laguito Hotel Caribe. Spoke to other gringos that encountered the same.

Oh about that Dublin12 guy who decided to ignore all the advice and warnings everyone gave him and ended up with constant bad scenarios, he changed his username. Something I've never seen before. But it was one hell of a laugh.

Further to my most recent post, I promised a trip report. I thought you might be interested in hearing of my misadventures. This rapidly became the holiday in hell.



I won't bore you with all the problems I had trying to book this, but between my bank, the credit card co, and Colombian bureaucracy, I should have taken the hint, that this was never going to end well.

The people of Cartagena wanted this, they wanted their city cleaned up but that means getting rid of certain elements that attracted certain types of people, let them all return to Sosua to get them turkeys walking around in yoga pants jajaja.

I stopped doing the clubs a while back, happy I did, my experience became much better once I got away from certain type of people, especially the ones with volume control problems. Your right, first timers are fucked, not only are they going to get hit in the head for high prices in dollars they have a more limited selection and lost the ability to walk into a club and see a bunch of chicas at once and pick what fits their budget. It's also going to effect those mongers who never maintained communication with past chicas and always believed a new one is right around the corner or they want a new one every night. The ones who have a stable full or connections to friends of friends don't need to worry about 3 clubs, a clocktower and an annoying beach. Specifically making an instagram to keep in touch with all chicas I've come across for the last 5 years was the best thing I've ever done.

I can't wait to see what's it's going to look like once summer hits, let's see how long this new Mayor and the Medellin Mayor can keep this up.

Some are cheaper with less quality and some are better-- all within 2 blocks plus tons of Hot Streety Sweeties-- Have Fun-- Most guys do-- Some Dickheads don't --LOL.

It's Semana Santa, and downtown is festive! They are setting up the structures for the festivals including an awesome food festival later this week. Some families were watching some Easter themed programming on a big screen in the square when I walked by yesterday evening.

And they have returned to being strict. The police are pushing the girls as far from the square as possible at night. I don't think it is affecting much though. The end of this week marks the end of high season for tourism. I think we'll see relaxation of the rules on working women as soon as April.

And the muchachos offering weed or coke have basically disappeared. Haven't been propositioned in two months. Crazy.

Space got the leftovers who were rejected by Dolce and most of them 4 x T shirt wearing beer belly gringos wasn't trying to take on them stairs. Also didn't help that they didn't own the building and had to pay rent. Reopening as a hookah bar will only put it in competition with Monkey Bar where nobody goes because it's filled with the same type of women men got on planes to get away from.

For the Spanish proficient, vets, guys who stay 10+ days then the long game works in your favor. But it's no long a good plug & play spot. Agencies, prepagos sites, apps are active but not really different than MDE BOG. Edge to Cartagena if you need beach.

I am planning on spending a week there in mid-April with a girl from a previous date. That is basically the only way I would go there now. The deciding factor for me is the hotel situation and the hassle of finding a place that will let you bring girls back. Last trip I booked at a hotel that was on a "guest-friendly" list, and it wasn't. I ended up hooking up with a Mileroticos chica for the duration because once I listed her as my "second guest" she was the only one I could bring back. Not that I was complaining much, but it's a severe limitation.

My Spanish is good enough to do a Mileroticos date, but I think I am a year away from Cucuta level LOL. For me, (fortunately) prices are down the list of issues with Cartagena. Less availability, less nightlife in Centro, more hassles, and the hotel restrictions are bigger issues for me. I have done the casa thing, and I have done a couple of local incalls in Cartagena, and that just isn't what I am looking for at my age.

I believe with Medellin the uptick of certain individuals advertising on YouTube what happens there attracted a certain demographic of people that were too loud and that attracted the organized crimes rather than the normal opportunistic ones and what that did was make all demographics targets. It also didn't help that some of these people were first time travelers and did the idiotic thing of watching heavily edited YouTube videos showing all the good things without informing them of the dangers.

An example would be the 2 Asians that were killed, the first one looked like a quiet student who just wanted a tinder date on his first trip and the second one was loud as fuck always in Medellin in the clubs partying with multiple girls. What's amazing is that the government didn't really start doing anything until 2 Asians were killed, when everyone else's killed they immediately labeled them as sex tourists and the comments sections under the articles were crazy.

What's funny was these same YouTubes that hid the dangers and only show the good times are now coming forward telling stories of their past travels to Colombia of them being robbed or had a scary situation because that's what's trending and hitting the algorithm. The same shit they were ashamed to tell people 5 years ago is the same shit they are trying to use as a badge at the end of 2023.

I doubt many gringos are going to be trying to do Google translate in A town bordering Venezuela or another off to the side of the capital jajaja.

There are some gringos that do go to Cucuta tho. Alot of the girls I know from Cucuta always ask me if I know a guy named Spencer LOL. I'm not sure why they think I would know him because I don't even know who he is but I have repeatedly been asked by multiple girls in Cucuta if I know him.
