On second reading it's mostly window dressing. All the tourist beaches are open. The biosecure zones are some ropes on the beach. Wear a mask and all the rest. Kafka has been vaccinated for months.

Curfews are moved up two hours. To 10 pm weekdays and 12 am Weekends. Restrictions on the use of beaches and requirements for reservations and also I believe limited hours. All of this for two weeks.

I follow the mayor of Cartagena and local news source on Twitter. I haven't seen any update so changes can't possibly be implemented for the weekend this late in the game. My hope is that if there are any changes they won't start for at least another week. I love hot weather and hot chicas. I need this! LOL.

Punted and booked a flight to Cartagena and will arrive Friday until the 19th. Thankfully I've got at least 5 great girls in Cartagena that I've spent time with that are excited for my arrival. Island tours already planned (by one of the girls who is on it) and overnights with a couple others. I'm trudging forward and will hope for the best but either way I'm going to make a trip of it no matter what! I'll report along the way, Colombia ahoy!

There's a good chance you're going to see some of that at least during the week. They're expecting the peak to be at the end of this month.

Some changes are definitely coming, but not a complete lockdown. I suspect curfew is 12 am on weekends and maybe 10 pm weekdays. Bars / clubs closed. Restaurants at a certain capacity. My guess is the beaches will remain open.

As of now. Yes. But they were overrun over Easter so now is the mea culpa.

Out of my 7 days, if I can hit the different beaches / islands, maybe day trip to Palenque, walk the old city and Getsemani, this should be enough to give me options if I get bored during the day time. I would have liked to check out the clubs, but clocktower, playa hollywood, tinder, and escort sites should still have some inventory.

It does take the wind of my sails. All of this on top of my Airbnb pulling some last minute curfew BS, but I already canceled that and got a good replacement that I'll pull the trigger on depending on the news.
