I hate a cold shower man, I know Cartagena is a hot and humid place but I can't do cold showers myself now matter what the weather is. I do not understand why these people would have AC and no hot water, al though I guess they are used to, I had chica over once that would like I had become sort of fuck buddies with, I mean I would give her some money but like 150 k for three days, anyway once I tried to get her in the shower with me and she wasn't having anything to do with that hot shower and it wasn't even as hot as I like it.

In my opinion if I could change that apartment I would. Cold shower is misery to me. I am not that picky on the whole, clean sheets, hot water, AC, hell with my Google Fi plan I do not even sweat Wi-Fi over hot water. Don't get me wrong I usually have Hot Water, AC, Clean sheets, laundry washer and dryer and that's what I need. Nothing has to be fancy it just has to be clean and everything work.

Where can you find cold water in Cartagena, other than the bars? Most people in Latin America use passive solar water heaters- ie black storage containers on the roofs. Even first thing in the morning I've never had water colder than about luke warm. If you want all the comforts of home, go to Miami- and pay those prices, too. For the record, there are plenty of hotels and AirBnB's in Cartagena with plenty of hot water- you just can't rent them for $11 per night.

As you should know since I understand that you live here, in Colombia we manage social classes by strata from 1 to 6; 1 and 2 poor class, 3 and 4 middle class, 5 and 6 upper class.

In short, people from strata 1 to 3 (most of the girls who offer sex for money belong to this rank) will know very little about hot water in the shower, it is also a matter of saving costs.

In cities like Medellin or Cali, it is not so essential, much less in cities with hot climates like Cartagena or Barranquilla, but if we talk about Bogot, things change.

Hot water in the shower, hah! The vast majority of Colombian chicas have no idea that hot water in a shower is even possible, seriously here in my apartment in Medellin and I regularly get questions from my chicas such as "why are there two nobs in the shower" and "which one do I use to turn on the water", I have to show most of them how to use so much that I have even posted a laminated sign in my shower, in Spanish, on how to operate the hot water and more importantly how to adjust the water temperature.

And when they experience hot water for the first time, well they will then stay in the shower for half an hour, at times me joining in, heck they even get up at 4 am and take a hot shower.

Of course these are more the barrio chicas from the higher barrios in the mountains of Medellin, where the air temp is colder than the valley floor. Just in the past 3 months I have had about 5 different chicas enjoy the hot shower.

I have had costenas over for longer stays in my apartment, these are from the coasta areas of Cartagena and Barranquilla and they prefer to take cold showers although hot water is readily available.

* Luxor, Avenida El Bosque: Closed, no longer exists.

*La Isla Night Club, its name changed now is 'Nexus' and its more like a gay club but you can find girls here also.

* Angeles Club, Diagonal 22: temporarily closed.

*Isis, Carrera 6 # 35-10: temporarily closed.

*Allondro, Calle 31: correct name is 'Alondra'.

*Empana, Calle 31, (Av. Pedro De Heredia): correct name is 'La Mampana'.

I need help, is Mirador del laguito allowing guests? Or they really strict like the other places? I need to book a place ASAP and having problems finding a spot.

Owners set the policy on guests. I know, I was one. And my experience in Medellin, in particular, is that most hosts do not want outside guests of the kind we entertain. The exception is some of the apartment / hotel set ups where owners are often absentee gringos.

At Mirador del laguito I suggest you check with the owner of the specific apartment, I know that I was told back in October that there are some that allow it, and some that do not. In other words the building itself does not have a policy against it as of October but some owners instruct the Security people to not allow visitors.
