It seems flights are starting from Oct 02 from Toronto Pearson to Bogota (See page 97.). Yes flights to Cartagena starts Oct 31, but I don't think there is any need to wait till Oct 31 if you want to reach CTG.

The US, Canada and Central America are on November schedule for Avianca. The question is not how to reach CTG, but when at the earliest on the balance the trip may be nice and with less issues on the ground (no quarantine, no sanitary measures, no curfews, no closures, nice weather and girls are there).

Wow, thanks for sharing that video. I had a great time in that city in January. Alive and fun in so many ways. Complete lockdown for so many months, yet virus cases continue to climb.

There also seems to be a difference in the type of ID that Colombians have. The hotel security seems to be fine with regular IDs, but there are other IDs that are laminated. Security doesn't seem to like the laminated ones. Not sure what the difference is on that.

I can't remember what it's called, but the laminated one is what they get if they lose their cedula and are waiting for a new one. It's basically a letter with their information on it, but no picture. It's incredibly easy to fake.

I haven't posted any misleading information. By law, in Cartagena anyone staying in a hotel or renting an apartment in a tourist area has to prove they entered Colombia legally. This is why they ask for your passport and check the stamp. No stamp? No registration. I've had it happen to many Venezuelans.

Photoprepagos is a legit site; just follow the same procedures as with any such ad site, some ads work and some don't. I actually have been to more than one Cartagena, and generally posting such doubts for any board member is not cool.

Don't shoot the messenger. I've been posting about Cartagena for years now including regular reports on my visits. It was a great place to visit. Now its a ghost town and it will take time to recover.

If you try to scare visitors away from Cartagena, Colombia, it doesn't make much sense to me, as almost every visitor to the city has never been to any hobby board.

You will find many of the social distancing rules to get in the way of this hobby. You need to remember patient zero is believed to have been an Italian woman in Cartagena. MANY businesses have permanently shut down in that city. Restaurants and clubs that have been around for over a decade or more.

I have once messaged you for the information about residences, and got zero response from you, - not polite. You have posted before that you prefer to keep the information of such residences confidential to you, so other visitors won't spoil it. Well, it's up to you.

Don't take it personally, every time I posted a report I would get messages asking the same thing. I just stopped responding after a while.

But MojoBandit is right. If some folks want to go there first and tell us how amazing it is go ahead. I'm lucky. I got out of Colombia just a few days before they shut down air travel (and yes I was in Cartagena). I'm going to keep doing the same thing I started doing in March. I'm going to continue investing in value stock picks and wait the year out. Maybe by next summer things will improve but I'm not going until either I get a vaccine shot like the flu shot, or SARS-COV-2 becomes far less lethal.

Which rules are you talking about? Those rules are over after September 1, 2020. Going to CTG will be dictated by season most of all and competition from other cities and countries. Don't forget there are local clubs beyond the known three, almost every club which was open ten years ago is still open, not to say how many just come from the streets and squares etc, the beach purveyors are still there etc. What is true there should be some normalcy in other tourist things to do, and I will assign some likelihood that by December the trip may be feasible.
