Assume all are happy, then it seems to me the one that spent less is better off because he will always have more choice and more money left assume everything else is equal. You are using one example to generalize it. Not all girls will fit this profile. Unless you do not count rent as a component and it is a little more complicated than that.

I think most of these girls have similar background and come from the same place so you are basically getting the same thing. If we only focus on outcome based on satisfaction level, you are the lucky one who can be happy spending far less and getting the same outcome.

Keep in mind, some people have specific taste, and they must spend more to get what you get. An example is street food vs restaurant. If we can do a blind test, one can get better food from the street than restaurant with much lower price easily, but there are people who simply don't want to eat street food. The people who can get the similar level of happiness from both will be happier. I would actually call these who can be happy with both are at higher level, relative to the one who can only be happy with just one choice.
