I'm going to Cartagen in December. I learned bunch of things from this forum about also I found maps to be extremely useful. I found this one: https://maps.google.com/maps/u/0/ms?...a83&dg=feature.

Does anybody have other maps or can confirm if the info on the map is not outdated?

I plan on getting Pueblito Playa hotel. As somebody said it was chica friendly. I found it on booking com and it seems good. Is there a better chica friendly option? Also I plan to stay few days in walled city. Is there a cheap but OK hotel with no chica fees or reasonable chica fees?

How is the Angeles Club, is it worth a try?

Not a great selection. Might find a diamond in the rough (same with all the cheapo clubs in Cartagena). I think it was under 100 k so worthy of at least a look.

I was frankly angry, instead, when I went to the Cocoliso resort, when I was lured there by some good promoter. For swimming, only 5 meters of beach and a swimming pool. One whole day wasted. On the same tour, there were several Colombians who liked it, on the other hand.

They usually do combo tours. First to Playa Blanca, drop some people off that just wants to relax on the beach. Then another 20 minutes to Islas de Rosario. There is an aquarium there (don't know if it's any good. Didn't go inside). Outside they sell fresh lobsters and crab (I believe for 10 k). After a couple hours there, you go back to Playa Blanca for another couple of hours before heading back to mainland. They pick you up at the hotel to get there but going back you need to get a taxi.

If I am with a friend and a small group of good fun girls, what is the best beach / island where I could go with a lancha for a fun day tour?

I tried 2-3 places in the past, and I would not return in none of them.

I would also suggest Islas del Rosario.

I avoid mongering trips over Semana Santa, especially Thursday and Friday and maybe Saturday of that week, dead as far as PFP.

Like the previous poster wrote, there will be non pros on vacation, however, that week they're into the family and religous thing.

Myself, like I said, I avoid that week for PFP fun.

I agree, and honestly speaking, its the riff raff that is normally available during this time. The good looking ones are either with their family or loved ones, the ones on drugs or just on the border line of living you will find. Not a good time to go.

Have never been to CTG for SS but have been to many other Latin countries during this period. The usual chain of events is to stay home with relatives until Good Friday late afternoon or Saturday morning and then head to the beach for two or three days. CTG being a popular beach destination should be very busy. Your problem will be to sift out the chicas who are there without family and are looking to party. I guessing there will be plenty of prepagos, semi-pros and non pros alike.

I have not been to CTG in about a year but have made many trips in the past. A few years back I was there for a week and Elektra was closed for remodeling so the cigarette guy at the door of the LDV said. At that time they left the LDV open a couple extra hours. Does anyone know if they are leaving the LDV open longer now with Elektra closedown?

With Elektra being closed where has the 12-3 am action moved? Is LDV getting more action earlier in the evenings as a result?

The problem is not the interval 12-3 am, but 3 am onwards, when Elektra had the peak time.

I share your discomfort anyway. Where to go after 3 am?
