I don't see any security issues. Nobody who is not living at your floor can get to it. And when a chica runs wild, throw her out of the room. The only way she can go is to the exit or to the lobby. The best security for me is good people judgement and a proper "job interview" to figure out if a girl is honest and nice or a crook. Of course you can never tell for sure, but during the years I build up quite a decent sense for that. If a problem arises, I think the guys in front of the apartment buildings would not do any other thing either than call the police. They are pretty useless in my view.

It only recently opened and everything is totally new, paint just dry. But the best thing is, they don't have a Lobby when you enter, the lobby is on the 17st floor so you can bring somebody to your room without anyone taking notice. To me this is even better than an apartment where you always have 2 to 3 people watching you when you enter the building. I don't like that and that is why I moved here. The only risk is of course how long they will do it like that. With all the scammers and con artists in Cartagena they might soon move a security guy in front of the elevators to prevent people from opening a food stall or a CD vending table in the entrance. But for now it is fine, I can really recommend it.
Sorry, I would never live in a place without security in the entrance to the building. Too dangerous.

Ok. Not so strict. At least, they allow guests (I assume decently dressed, considered the high-class environment).

Think that in my previous favourite hotel in San Diego (a small but cozy one) , last time I was told that that guests were not allowed UNLESS REGISTERED WITH ME UPON MY CHECK-IN. I tried to ask "my novia is coming probably tomorrow or the day after." and their inflexible reply was "ok give me her cedula details now".

What great news! I've been always perplexed knowing that even in apts there is someone asking IDs and registering all guests. However, it's true that if guests are not registered, then minimum an ample safety box and double eyes are required.

Can someone of you explain to me the chicas on the beach thing as I don't quite get it. I was there now multiple times but all I can see is normal tourists and families. I know I am at the right spot as I got to know Tony already. I find it really hard to find chicas during the day, but for me is better, as I don't like to party until 5 in the morning every

Night so much. Out of despair I asked Tony if he knew some chicas. The outcome was that he presented to me two horrible looking sluts, no joke the ugliest bitches I have seen in CTG to date and demanded 70k. I needed to buy a beer for all of them just to get out of that.

I mean there must be a bunch of decent looking girls during the day somewhere or are they all asleep until 8 pm?
You can find girls on the beach. Usually there are 3 to 4 there at a time. Look for any girls alone or a group of 2 or 3 girls. Just go up to them and say hello. Will be hard to find a decent.

One for 100, 000 but more like 150, 000 to 200, 000 and make sure they understand you are talking pesos. The other place to find girls is along the road from the beach to the hilton.

I have been approached by very hot young girls there. There is also a guy standing up front of the apartment building I was staying that could call girls for you.

I have a email address of a very hot chica in the mid 20s I meet this way. If you are interested I could send you the email and a picture.

I was at Sheraton Medellin, and I had to pay a significant extra (60k) every night I had a friend with me, and she registered with me at the reception. The night the girl just showed up alone at the reception (she came from the club by bike, I came by taxi 15 mins before) , the tax was increased to 100k, because the policy of the hotel hinders occasional guests.

Novia showed up night before last from Medellin. The beach was kind of dead. Ran into Locogringo in the small Olympica. Exchanged some info and laughs I haven't seen him in while. Thanks for the lift. 1800 was the exchange rate in Centro. Buddy was leaving for the USA today so he took us out on his boat parasailing and to a remote beach at Isla Terre on south side of the Rosario islands. Went to Isla the Cholon later had lobster and shrimp for 40k pesos. Novia did some snorkling near there. Owner of the apartment I am staying in called he was making us up a dinner so we headed back for a fine meal.

Now I've heard a few good suggestions but then the apt has something wrong like. Apartamentos Torres Del Lago not having hot water, maid service, dirty, towel service, or sheet service and Mirador I think the reviews said it also did not have sheet or towel service. I'm willing to pay extra so me any my boy can: 1) have our own rooms 2) not have to do wash sheets 3) bring chicks up to our pad with out having to pay extra a la "Hotel Caribe" *Please Help*
Apartments are not hotels. There are no maids and clean sheets everyday. However, I believe the Mirador penthouse (180-200 / night) includes maid service. If the apartment doesn't, Juan can set you up with a maid for 30-40k a day.
