The best answer I can give you is that at night when you go out be clean shaven, nice pair of jeans and a shirt that fits you. Don't wear sneakers! Look decent and wear your weight well and you will be fine. Try to practice your spanish! I suck at it and can only string a couple words together at a time but at least I can pick up some and ask some basic questions. Try to find a girl that actually has some interest in you, I have always done this and almost always had great sessions. Don't just try to get the best looking girl in the club without having any chemistry whatsoever. These girls are a much different beast then say Sosua or Puerto Plata girls that practically throw themeselves at you, its nothing like that, the girls in Colombia have a higher sense of class then other countries. I have seen them tell guys no they would not go with them, which you would never see in Sosua. So just follow what I said and you will be fine. Don't look like a slob! Hope this helped.

Not necessarily. I have been to Cartagena about 15 times in the past ten years and know a few Italians, English, and Americans married to a Colombiana. Me included. I agree that there are many as you described, but isn't that why they are there?

This is not really true at all, as in all countries you have your working girls and non working girls. I mean if you meet a girl that works as a waitress in a restaurant, there is no reason to think she is out selling her body at night. Not that it doesn't happen, but married women in the US and elsewhere often meet other guys and go out to dinner etc and cheat on there husbands, it doesn't mean there full blown working girls. Life with women is tough no matter how you look at it. Working girls, divorce, cheating husbands and wives, its not easy out there!
