WASHINGTON — Several small groups of Secret Service employees separately visited clubs, bars and brothels in Colombia prior to a visit by President Barack Obama last month and engaged in reckless,"morally repugnant" behavior, Sen. Susan Collins says.
Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman, the committee's chairman, said,"I want to hear what the Secret Service is doing to encourage people to report egregious behavior when they see it.
Prostitution is legal in Colombia, but Sullivan quickly issued new guidelines that made it clear that agents on assignment overseas are subject to USA laws.
This week the Drug Enforcement Administration said the Justice Department's Office of the Inspector General was investigating possible misconduct by two or more agents in Colombia. Collins revealed that the case involved at least two DEA employees who entertained female masseuses in the Cartagena apartment of one of the DEA agents.

Bad enough residents are pissed after a porn video at Bocagrange Paintball by Bang Bros in December, now the DEA got busted with putas in a Cartagena apartment and the government is investigating that now.

In general, for protective visits, teams of Secret Service personnel travel in advance and conduct site surveys, which assess needs for manpower, equipment, hospitals and evacuation routes for emergencies. Fire, rescue and other public service personnel in the community are alerted.
Before a protectee arrives at any site, a lead advance agent coordinates all law enforcement representatives participating in the visit. Intelligence information is discussed and emergency options are outlined. Prior to the arrival of the protectee, checkpoints are established and access to the secured area is limited.

This is a very long thread and I haven't read every post, so I don't know if this has been said: President Obama should give Dania the prostitute a medal. She uncovered what was a very weak side of the S. S. I truly believe that this was not an isolated case, rather a habit for some agents. If a terrorist group had known how easy it was to get the agents drunk out of their minds while on a mission, and then infiltrate their rooms, they could have raised havoc by having a spy pose as a prostitute, and go from there. Well not any more, there are new rules in place and there is awareness of this issue, so it will not happen in the future. Dania has saved the president's ass! Or at least avoided an even more embarrassing incident of terrorist infiltrating the S. S.

I am busy partying in the Caribbean.
Anyway, as I told Jackson, the system would not let me make a correction to my last post for some reason. The edit button was there but it would not work.
I could have re-posted but was tired of typing on the IPHONE. The small buttons, which caused me to send before clarifying a point, tire me out.
Since then I have had little interest in this thread, as most of it is about the ex-prostitute anyway, and had forgotten about the post.
Verify with Jackson that I attempted to edit post but was denied.
Have fun guys LOL!
Sex tourism is alive in well, but it seems NOBODY is engaging in it, anymore in Cartagena!

What the officers did here was not sex tourism in the sense of going to a specific destination for the primary purpose of sex. The problem was that they was on a work assignment and that, presumably, the hotel room was being paid for by the US government on a US government credit card and that they were supposed to conduct themselves in a way that would reflect creditably on their employer. Presumably the US government has not authorized the use of the room for paid sexual entertainment.
Anyway, I imagine that everyone at the top level in the US govt. Is having a good laugh about this, while pretending to be outraged. What could Obama really say?"Hey it was just a few guys letting off steam out of working hours. I know them, they are good guys. Let it be."
No, I don't think so. Probably when he heard about this he said:"Those stupid, idiotic, f*ing assholes. Fire the c***s before someone says they were scoping out the talent for me."

Is no such law for sex tourism, Bill Clinton made one for 18 year old age requirement, the Bush administration enforced a type of crackdown on pedephiles but sex tourism is not illegal for US residents.

Not to lengthen this discussion but there is one thing to consider:
Once the girl made a ruckus, there was no way the agent (s) could pay her. No agent can actively engage in "sex tourism" (actually no American can under Bush administration regulations that I think are still in effect) , so once she got loud and management came, etc, the men would have lost their jobs FOR SURE by paying. Most likely, he, and / or they, just played dumb claiming there was no offer for pay for play. It could have worked. But paying her in front of others or when others would have known she was paid for sex would have had only one result. The guy (s) would have known that by playing dumb and hoping to ride it out at least there was a chance at surviving.
I just say this because people keep saying "just pay the girl" but we do not know exactly when outsiders got involved. But we know outsiders were involved making it impossible for the man / men to pay her at some point.
Their cardinal sin was telling people they were SS. In the military it is called compromising yourself. They were compromised the moment people knew who they were.
