I see several people are worrying about what kind of backlash there might be in Colombia against hookers and brothels. Haha, don't worry, in Latin America it's ALWAYS going to be business as usual. It's part of the culture.

But looking at the photos of the $800 chica in question. She definitely does not look top shelf. Mid level material with fake boobs, a thick body, and coarse features. Either she was trying to take advantage of a guy too drunk to use common sense and thinking with the little head, or she thought this gringo was Daddy Warbucks and $80 or $800 was all the same to him.

As I see this scandal in the headlines in both gringo and latino media, I can't help but think of all the chicas who have told their families in the past that they've gone to Cartagena to work as waitresses or in a hotel, club, etc. Surely somewhere in Colombia, some suspicions have been raised. And any chica thinking of going to CTG now maybe thinking twice about it, or will have to be even more creative with the little white lies.

OTOH, I've met a lot of chicas who said that their families already know. I wonder about the fate of Pleyclub or LDV in some moralistic backlash. However, the urge for $ is so great in CO, and the urge for cX0Cha as well, that it'll probably be business as usual.

I've been there so many times I've actually made some nice connections with a few normal locals, but I'm waiting a long time before I go back. And I feel bad for the good people of CTG now that it has now become synonymous with mongering.

I think that there are two separate things. One. Whether or not you like (or agree with) their behavior. Two. What laws and / or administrative rules they violated. The two things are different matters. Plus we do not see many evidences for (differential) allegations. I know that this post will be unpopular. Thanks.

With a security clearance, My take: these guys should be terminated for stupidity:

• (My guess) : Loud, arrogant, intoxicated, looking to show off, does offer the girl $800 to go with him. Strike 1 for for arrogance & stupidity.
  
• Next morning, figures $30 will do. After all, she's a w*ore. He's high profile, American, and in the big leagues. EVERYBODY takes orders FROM him. Strike 2 for for arrogance & stupidity.
  
• Gets into an argument with her, AND on her HOME turf. Again, who is she to argue with him? Strike 3 for arrogance & stupidity.

Game over.

There are alot of dumb posts by guys here that say the same thing: "what these guys do on their own time is their biz". Not true. There is something called BLACKMAIL. They are not normal citizens.

Yes many of us will think that even $250 or so is also very very high for all night but to me that is worth the price if the girls are complete model figure 10's.

Thanks for the Response very interesting. WOW! I am shocked, even these prices you mentioned are insane. I had no idea the prices were that high in Colombia. Believe me I am not knocking you but I wouldn't be traveling for those prices, yes they maybe good looking but there comes a point for me where I just feel like I am getting ripped off and wouldn't be able to enjoy it. I mean hell if I went around offering random hot girls in the us that were working part time or college students 250-300 I would find takers.

I know a guy who has a wife that doesn't work, but she buys 1200 dollar coach purses every month and only fucks him on Valentines Day and his Birthday. WOW. Over 75 posts on the subject of the S. S. Prostitution scandal! But this is the right forum for this discussion, and the level of knowledge displayed here is impressive. ISG should be required reading for S. S. Men as part of their training.

What bugs me is the amount of attention that this scandal has gotten in the mainstream media. From the N. Y. Times to the tabloids, etc.

Before the scandal hardly any one in USA knew that president Obama was traveling to Cartagena. Even today most people don't know or care to know what were the important issues being discussed there or what was the outcome of the meeting. It's a shame!

I read some of the latinamerican newspapers on the internet, and noticed that the scandal has gotten some attention, but did not overshadow the other important news about the meeting.

I think I am going to go out on a limb here. I have never been asked more then 600 mil which equates to about $ 350 or so. In my experience girls much better looking then this photos shown, I am talking like drop dead gorgeous girls can be had in Colombia for like 400 mil to max of 500 mil for all night starting from like 9 pm to 8 am the next morning.

I am paying two very very beautiful girls some good money and taking them to San Andres for a 3 day trip at a price of like $ 500 each for a 3 day trip. Of course their are more expenses for me to fly them to San Andres and other Hotel expenses too, but these same girls agree to 500 mil all night.

Have prices really gone up that much in Cartagena? When I was there in 96-97 the very top shelf beautiful strippers from places like American Nights (if I remember the name correctly) wanted $140 or $160 to leave for the night, room included. Of course brothel girls or girls picked up in night clubs were much less.

$140/160 back in 96-97, I. E. 15 to 16 years ago, is like $250 to 300 today! When I was in Cartagena last year, I paid about $100 to 150 for several hours of great fun. One chica stayed till 7am or so.
