Ok, we can laugh a lot about how silly is that, but the whole story is AWFUL news for us. CTG is now famous in USA, and not for its colonial style houses, the walls, the beauty of its Centro Historico. From now on, if I tell colleagues in USA (and maybe out of them too) that I am going to spend 3-4 days in ctg, I will get mad eyes.
It is even possible that the local police will act in some way on clubs and freebies, attempting to "clean up" the place and restoring a good image of the place for families etc. I don't see anything good coming out from this.

Posts: 434According to the news, a number of the agents are denying that they knew there girl was a prostitute. I really doubt that the agents could have pulled 21 girls all from the same club. Stands to reason to me that some must have met on or near the hotel. My point is that my original argument of an agent believing he found himself a freebie will probably hold true. Its easy for guys like us to know the reality of a situation but not necessarily for men have never used prostitutes or are not at all familiar with the natives.

If it is true, as alleged, that 21 prostitutes may have been involved, there is more to investigate. Why did the National Security Agency fail to detect all the cell chatter that must have been going on?

A fair assumption. Tell them you are going deep-sea fishing in Tulsa.
There's also Cartagena, Spain.

Posts: 874They are showing girls walking up the stairs at the LDV on ABC this morning. Some agents are claiming they didn't know they were paying for sex, just women they happened to meet. LOL

Posts: 294Legitimate Answers given to be given to US Immigration.
Where are you coming from?
Same country as Mr. Obama went recently.
How many days did you go for?
As many days as my dick could handle. No more No less.
What you do for Living?
I must be doing something right for me to pay the taxes so Secret Service Agent can go around the world on my tax payer money and have a Sex Party.
What were doing in Colombia?
Same thing what the US Secret Service was doing while visiting Colombia.
How much did you Spend in Colombia?
I spent enough to ensure not to get involved in a Sex Scandal.
Where is your Camera?
I gave it as a gift to the same girl who was with MR. Secret Agent. So next time when they visit her she can take a nice photo.
Once they start to give you a hard time just ask them one question.
How long did you get to interview those Secret Service Agents.
I am sick and tired of two different set of rules. If you look like foreign born American or Canadian these idiots at the Immigration start asking all weird question over and over. Last when they took me in for a 4 hour interview I just in the end told them straight up I went to Colombia to have a good time. I spent more then what you make in two months.
Next question they asked me is how much I paid in taxes last year. I told them it was none of their business as I am a Canadian travelling through USA to catch my next flight. All they tried to do is get me to miss my connecting flight. Therefore from that point onwards I personally avoid travelling through USA.
Thanks to Copa Airlines I get to fly at a reasonable ticket cost as well flying Toronto to Panama and then Panama direct to Medellin.
John.

Yes. There are brothels, but you are probably better off not going to a brothel. Typically, first time visitors to Cartagena hang out in the touristy areas areas around Bocogrande and the Old City. During the day, you are probably best off hanging out on the beach near Bocogrande while at night, many people head to a club called La Dolce Vita. It's least expensive if you rent an apartment for the week, in a building that is girl friendly. All the women in La Dolce Vita are sex workers.
2. Do I normally go to the girls home or do I have to take them to my hostel?
If you need a place for a short time the girl will know of a cheap hotel nearby.
3. Is it normally possible to take "guests" to a hostel and can I ask the hostel if its possible?
I don't expect a hostel is going to be friendly to the idea of girls coming to your room, but I don't know much about it. It probably makes more sense to pay for a cheap short term hotel room.
4. You always talk of girls from the beach, what is the name of the beach, where I can find the girls?
Hollywood is the most notable section of Cartagena beach for girls. This is on the far side of Bocogrande. There are a couple of guys, Jason and Tony, who are often there, speak English, and will insist on finding you a girl. Jason is much easier to deal with than Tony.
5. Where can I find the cheapest hookers? Beach, bars?
The least expensive girls work the streets. These girls can be very inexpensive. Generally, they don't come out till later in the night.
6. What are normal prizes in Cartagena for an hour? I always read of 200k. Does that mean 200 dollar?
Cheaper girls are found inland in Colombia, the least expensive sex workers in Cartagena are found normally on the street, or more isolated / dangerous beaches, say, La Boquilla. 200k is 200, 000 Colombian pesos or about 112 dollars. With some game you might be able to cut this number in half.
7. Do I have to ask the girls or do they come to me? And can I ask direct for sex?
You can always ask directly for sex, but this has never worked best for me. As my teacher used to say "You don't have to go leaping straight for the clitoris like a bull at a gate." Even if you are dealing with a sex worker it sometimes helps to dodge around the thing you want for a drink or two. Do you speak Spanish?
8. How can I distinguish between hookers and normal girls?
You will know when she asks you about money. My sense from your questions is you will know a hooker immediately, because she will act differently than women you have known up to this point.
9. Are there also normal girls looking for sex with a gringo?
Yes. You might find these girls working in the old city in various shops and stores. Since you do not have much time, you will need to either speak Spanish well, or have some natural charms working to your advantage. However, I hope you will not spend a lot of time pretending to fall for a nice girl, when you really just want to play sex tourist. On the other hand, your questions imply you are young and you might just be able to pull off a fun week, without needing to resort to any of the above insights.

I quote,"CARTAGENA, Colombia. ABC News has learned exclusively that the Secret Service officials accused of misconduct in Colombia revealed their identities by boasting at a Cartagena brothel that they worked for President Obama.
Partying at the "Pley Club" Wednesday night, eleven members of the president's advance team allegedly bragged "we work for Obama" and "we're here to protect him."
The officials spent the night throwing back expensive whiskey and enlisting the services of the club's prostitutes, according to a bouncer at the club and a police source.
Sources tell ABC News several of the men agreed to pay for, and received, services from the "highest category" prostitutes available at the club, who charge upwards of $200. The group became belligerent and the police were called. The argument between the officials and the bouncers from the club escalated and ultimately spilled onto the street, according to several eye witness accounts.
The police have since been directed by USA authorities not to comment on that night or the scandal surrounding the Secret Service, according to a senior police official in Cartagena.
Prostitution is legal in Colombia and the women who work at the Pley Club live on the premises.
The club, located on a dusty street in the industrial Bosque neighborhood, just blocks from the port, has a rough exterior but boasts plush "pley rooms" inside.
The Pley Club is a well-known brothel in this historic city. Some taxi drivers in the resort-town are paid a commission for recommending the club and its prostitutes to tourists.
The officials were in Cartagena on assignment ahead of the president's visit for the Summit of the Americas last weekend.
The controversy surrounding the officials' misconduct, however, overshadowed the summit last week and local residents are questioning why the city put so many resources into the international event only to be left with a tarnished reputation.
"Cartagena didn't benefit one cent from President Obama's visit. All people remember are that the Secret Service agents slept with our prostitutes," said a man who works in the neighborhood."

Is anyone in Cartagena to ask Tony which girls take participation on the scandal, and see if the secret service has a good taste?
The one will know, I think will be Tony?
