prostitution is legal or unofficially legal almost everywhere in the world other than the usa. just about anyone with a pc has figured this out. even high school kids surfing the internet are waiting for the day they can get some cash and leave the country with their friends. it's not a well-kept secret. my female friends have figured out sex tourism or travel fucking or whatever slang one calls guys heading to less developed countries for this purpose. many canadian and european women travel to cuba and the caribbean for their own discreet jaunts with local boys. they are just more subtle and monogamous on vacation.

as theshadow2 noted, colombia will be off-limits for some "because their cover will be blown". and who really wants to be blown with a cover!

    not so bad. who cares?

the problem isn't that some horny gringo wanted some fine colombian ass. it's that every news is covering it and saying prostitution is legal in colombia. that means 1. more people will be coming down to get some driving the prices up. 2- giving colombians and americans a bad name. 3- it took away from the entire goal of the meeting down in cartagena, security, trade, infrastructure, globalization, human capital, economic growth and natural resources and social development and the private sector.

also 1 out of every three articles out there spell colombia with a u. nothing good can come out of this. the worst is the prices going up. argh!

I'm all for having fun, but if you're going to play around and go out on the edge a bit, you may just want to play by the rules and not make waves and draw attention, especially over a few dollars.

I personally have no problem with an off duty agent being with a prepago, but for being this pompous or dumb, different story.

I'm guessing on hindsight, the guy, as well his buddies, wish he would have just paid the stupid bill ehh.
He offered 100. 000 pesos for TLN and she said she was insulted with that and told him $400. USD. This is why if you're not 100% sure of the situation you need to talk about her compensation prior to going to the room.

I think you're correct on 2 and 3, but 1 aint happening. 95% of potential mongers already knew about Cartagena, if the other 5 % suddenly start coming it will be offset by mongers that can no longer visit because their cover is blown.

I agree with Mr. Ricker. If he's off duty why not have a little pump and dump? Doesn't make him a bad guy just makes him human. I could go on and on and on about how stupid he handled the situation but you guys can see what he did wrong; The biggest being "Don't shit where you eat" When I worked for a big company and I was at their hotel that THEY paid for, I NEVER had a girl come to me. I always went to her (One time she was in the same hotel in Chicago!

Now the issue of not paying the Chica Fee. That is where he turns into an A+ King of *******! What was the fee? $30-$75 bucks? I'd imagine he makes well over $100G's a year. He sold out his career because he was too cheap to come up with the fee, put dirt all over his name and for what? He's too cheap to pay the fee! If it's a hotel rule it's a rule! If the rule was unfair or if the time limit was 2 hours and he took 2. 15. Well then you can argue.

You have to assess the situation; Best case: I don't have to pay the $75 fee, but I'm going to have to argue with this clerk all night. Is my time and mental heath worth $75? Yes! Worst case: I make a HUGE stink over it and the Clerk calls his boss who drops the time and I get bagged from my awesome paying job?

What a IDIOT! When committing a caper rule #1 is do not get caught! If you have to pay a few bucks or go a little bit out of your way to insure your end result is achieved so be it!

Funny. I like to say "Don't be cheap, don't be lazy, don't be stupid and you'll have the best chance with a girl" guess that guy should have read my posts or followed me on twitter! Hahahah

Yes, I know, we have to wait for the full story.

    Excuse Travelling to Colombia.

I guess I didn't put my thoughts correctly. Yes it has nothing to do with being US resident. What I should have said is for those who were using excuses like we are going golfing, fishing or any other excuse like that with family and or friends then I believe that excuse will be much harder to fly.

Manizales you are right about visiting the girl friend story. That is exactly what I tell Immigration that I visit my girl friend in Colombia.

    Regards,

    John.

You tell Colombian immigration upon entry that you are visiting your girlfriend and you tell the same thing to the agents at passport control upon re-entry to the USA and there isn't jack shit they can do, if you are a USA citizen you have the right to travel and as long as you aren't breaking any laws they have to let you back into your own country, what are they going to do, tell you to go back to Colombia?

Come on it is not like just one guy got lucky that night. All 12 of them got lucky. That is just not possible that all 12 of them didn't know what they were getting into.

I think it can be clearly thought that from this day onwards any body wanting to travel to Colombia at least for next one to two years will not be able to make lame excuses about why they are planning to go to Colombia.

LOL. More chicks for us non US residents.

This happens all the time. If some one wants to think this way through then you can surely come to conclusion that this report only gives the Secret Service Agents a bad name but also does many other things which I have no reason to elaborate on this board as it can and will be only argumentative.

Think. Think. And Think some more before giving the US SECRET SERVICE the benefit of doubt on this or any other matter.

    Well said, John. Agreed!
