Both Havana and Cartagena are great mongering locations-I have been to both many times; they are a lot of fun but very different. Havana, Cuba is of course comunist, and they are very much into protecting their reputation as a country with no hookers. Most of the chicas in Columbia work for certain establishments for a Contract and most hussle in the open. Cops in Cartagena will not care if you are with a chica in a cab-not in Havana. There are many hotels and apartments available for rent in Cartagena who don't mind you bringing in girls-in Havana you need to go to private casas that allow it. Hotels in Havana frequently will not allow guests and if they do they charge a lot of money. There is very little Plastic surgery in Cuba as they don"t have the products; there is plenty in Colombia. Food is super in Cartagena; not so much in Havana, unless you know where to go, But generally its about 30% cheaper in Havana for everything including chicas. There are a number of spots that rival LDV in Havana; like Jonny's; but its a bit of a game. You will not be able to leave in the same cab as the chica; however you can always give her the address of your casa. Havana is nice because there are many chicas you can pu on the streets, parks and public areas that are non-pros; they will go with you cause their family needs the$$-much more so than in Cartagena. Both places are good for parties but Cuba is lacking in many of the basics from the US embargo. Ie. Bring your own Rye whisky and their coke is crap. You can't go wrong with either palce but if you decide to go to Havana and need a contact you can pm me; I also have friends who own a Hotel in Cartagena thats chica friendly.

I am thinking about going down to Cartagena the weekend before July 4th, anyone know if that is a particularly good or bad time to go? I believe it is university holiday during that time.

Also, it will be a national holiday for San Pedro why San Pablo, do you know if this is a holiday where people will be celebrating a lot or if there is a possibility of them cracking down and closing the bars?
