    Dangerous places

Oh yes. I believe I have been more in danger in East St. Louis night time (and I was not walking, I just passed by car) , or in New Orleans, or when I walked a bit off track in Washington DC behind Capitol Hill without being very informed about the neighborhood, then in Santa Fe Bogota or in Medellin at night or in Cartagena outside the centro. USA can be definitely more dangerous than 99% Europe.

Cartagena is by far the safest city in Colombia but it is still in Colombia, a poor third world country. I have my guard up the minute the wheels on the plane touch the ground and until I am airborne on the way home and would advise anyone else to do the same.
    Manizales,

First I am sorry if my post was a bit harsh, but I firmly believe what I wrote.

The reason is that we are speaking about the El Centro and Bocagrande In Cartagena, not Colombia in general, not even Cartagena in general.

Wherever and whenever you go there. 24h / 24h inside the Walls or in Bocagrande, the risk to be robbed is minimal, certainly not higher than downtown Manhattan.

It is very lovely place, plenty of police patrolling the streets especially night time. I repeat: relax and enjoy.

On the other hand, as you say, I recommend the tourists, especially if new to the place, to avoid going nighttime around Getsemani or outside the walls, although the safety there significantly improved just in the last 5 years. I recommend the same tourists to avoid going walking outside of those central areas even at daytime.

    Agree with me now?

I don't know what your looking for, but all women are nothing but trouble. Rent them and be happy.

This lovely little spinner, Jeni, claims to be serious. I hope she is, but experience that thaught me how semi-pregapos minds works.

So before investing more time in her, she is very pretty and lovely, I wonder if you guys know her. She likes Cafe del Mar.

Personally I don't mind if she is a semi-pro, but I'm really into her so I need to know which cards she are playing with.

Her member number on Colombiancupid is 619652

    Thanks beforehand, bros!

I agree 100% but since we are talking on the Cartagena thread, that is where I was referring to.

I have a friend that grabbed a taxi off the street in Medellin and about a block after getting in the cab the cab stopped and two thugs got in the cab on each side of my friend. They put a pistol to his head and relieved him of his money, phone and passport, not fun.

    Jeni is also on LatinamericanCupid

Here she have 4 splendid fotos, her ID number is: 1536165.

Her older sisters have gringo boyfriends / husbands, she says.

I don't know what to think, she appears very semi-prepago, but she might be a keeper.

If you are in the neighborhood, and member on these sites, contact her, she likes to party.

Everything is over the top in this post. I hope nobody will believe this. Come to CTG, be relaxed, enjoy.

(Ah, if anybody is in doubt, please compare the number of tourists robbed in CTG with the number of tourists robbed in New Orleans, or Washington, or New York, or Miami, etc. Etc.)

Some better advice is 1. Take taxis everywhere, ones that your hotel sets you up with. 2. Walk tall like you will f up anyone whos "thinking" about messing with you (if you have to walk somewhere) 3. Look people in the eye who stare at you, don't let them follow behind you. Be prepared to run and hollar if something does go down. But again, wouldn't it be better to just take a taxi?

All this belief in karma and I'm ok your ok is bad advice and is how weeinie liberals end up getting robbed or killed, it only takes once. Watch your ass and don't trust people you don't know, period.

I don't need beautiful, usually I find they are not that great, give me a decent looking girl who appreciates the time I spend with her and I am more then happy. You can have all the beautiful ones.
