I had a guy tell me same thing sitting outside LDV on bench few weeks ago but he also said beach girls were 150k pesos [he had sucker tatooed on his forehead], he walked in, the hottest blonde in there walked out and I nailed her for 125k pesos.

    New Disco

The new place next door to LDV is Cappricio. Less chicas, same great talent, quoting $300. 000. I didn't try to negotiate.

The Map is getting adjusted continuously but furthest East and South I have been as far as Casas is Pleyclub.

Bocagrande there is way too many different shops, Cambios, Atm's and Hotels to list but

I will add a few as I see fit.

I also did not list the new disco right next to the LDV, I don't remember the name but don't see the point seeing it just seems to take the overflow from LDV.

    Ldv

They were asking for $300. 000 last week, but it was slow and they would negotiate down to $250. 000 pretty easily.

Heat is bad unless it is January or February.

The dollar has fallen in value.

Also there are alot of tourists and the vendors are pests like flies.

    Semana Santa

Just returned. Many of the chicas I talked to (and did other things with) said they were spending Semana Santa with their families. One even said she was Catholic and and didn't work during the week for religious reasons. Go figure.

I know Cali is so dead during Christmas time that the clubs are sometimes closed. Anybody spend time in CTG during Semana Santa?

I'll be in CTG April 20-21 (Wed and Thurs) staying at Hotel Don Pedro De Heredia. I'll be sure to report on my trip. Anyone know much about this hotel and / or how close it is to the action?

    Thanks.

Between the DR and CTG I would choose the DR. The water is much cleaner and the girls are less expensive. Also a BBBJ is almost a given in the DR while in CTG it usually has to be an extra cost.

As far as Costa Rica, that would be my last choice of the three.

If you must have something new than go to CTG, but bring plenty of money if you want a real good time. Some may get by on less money, but a novice with no Wingman will pay thru the nose.

Hey it is only money and they are printing it every day so go have fun.

    Drinking in Cartegena

Can someone tell me how much it costs for a media bottle of Aguad in LDV / Electra? Paying 15k for a bottle of beer. Even more if you get a drink for a chica. Is insane for Colombia! I usually find it's cheaper to split a bottle with a wing.

    Is p4p very expensive?

Any advice to this newbie is appreciated.
Best initial advice I would suggest is:

-Read back through this forum over the next several weeks. Things really haven't changed drastically the last few years, so you could go back to 2007 or so and read forward. Doing so will give you a wealth of knowledge.

-Go to the Cartagena Lists thread and review World Travel's list / guide.

-After reading through posts herewithin for the past few years, review Hillbilly's Google Earth Map and you'll be able to somewhat get your bearings on the lay of the land in CTG so to speak.

-Solicit specific info through asking specific questions and communicating with other members. Create a dialogue just as you have with your initial post in the CTG thread.

-If you haven't already done so, consider subscribing with Jackson (site owner) so that you can exchange private messages with other members.

You do the above and you'll have considerable knowledge that you'll be able to apply and benefit from on the ground there in CTG.

    Have fun!

    Cartagena guide

Amigos. Does anyone know a decent guide in Cartagena. Hopefully someone with a car that we can rent for the night. I want to do normal Casa and club thing but also go on a few day trips to the surrounding areas. Staying at the Hilton. I'm sure they have someone that will overcharge me but I prefer to use a local guy that needs the money and benefits. If anyone wants to hook up for some drinks and fun send me a pm.
