I spent 6 days in Bocagrande in early December. Here's my report.

I stayed at bargain hotel first 2 night, Hotel Crisor on Cra 3. It is only 42K per night and no chica charge if she is there less than 3 hours. Night security guard will try to charge you but just remind him you know the policy. Run is small and basic but it has A / C, wireless internet and small TV (though mine didn't work so well). No hot water if that's important to you.

The last 4 nights I stayed at Hotel Bocagrande on Cra 2, the main strip with all the shopping stores. The gave me a multiple night discount for 4 nights and paying in advance. 112K for 1 person or 153K for 2 people (no hassles regardless if your chicas changed regularly). This room was larger, modern flat screen TV, balcony out back, newer furniture, A / C, wireless Internet, but again no hot water. Place also has decent restaurant onsite.

First night (Tuesday) I went to the "fish bowl" known as LDV. I call it that because as others have stated, sometimes you are only on of very few men in there and you feel like you are in a fish bowl being watched from outside as the eyes follow you. I don't like the vibe of the place at all, but where else you going to go for freelancers at 11pm on any night? I didn't like many of the chicas there but I did really like one fine young thing. Yes, my debit card is MasterCard but I don't know what is the difference (current exchange) between money changer and ATM. I suppose will be a little bit higher in ATM but if you add, (in each operation) .2 EUR + 1 % fee on the current interbank exchange rate. I repeat that it is only using the math.

I went to the club Isis in the Centro of Cartagena the other day. Some negative views on this forum about this place so I was curious about this place. I was positively surprised. When I arrived around 11 the place was packed with girls, most of them well over average pretty. Some guests, but not many. Also a relexed athmosphere.
