I respectfully disagree with your comparison to "the hood" in most U.S. cities, it's not even close. The difference between us mongers "hit and run" is we use protection 99% of the time so hitting and running does not mean leaving a child behind as it does with Colombianos. I am 52 yrs. old and fathered a child four months ago with a 26 yr. old Colombiana and didn't run,as a matter of fact I am moving to Colombia to be with my daughter.

Great post Soldier. It looks like you hit most of the highlights of the city. I did want to make one observation.

You mentioned that when the girl said that you could pay her whatever you wanted and you gave her 100, 000 pesos, that she looked disappointed. I know from experience that girls can be had for this price but they are typically not very hot and certainly not in LDV.

I think what happened was that you found a girl who was interested in MORE that an immediate payday. 1st she never mentioned money and let you pay what you want.

This puts her in a light of A) possible being inexperienced or certainly B) WANTING to be with you. I would bet heavily on "B"

2nd she meet you with 3 friends the next day at the beach. Dude, she not only sees potential with you but also wants her friends to meet you. (Although sometimes girls will bring friends for deniablity, I don't think this fits here)

3rd she brings her daughter to meet you. Hola padraste! LOL. She is moving right along isn't she.

Also remember that everything she says and or does reflects back on her. It's for that reason women tend to tell little white lies about certain things.

The fact that she tells you that tourism is down, competition is up and business is bad for her does not make it true. That may be consistant with the night that you were there but from what I hear there are tons of guys pouring in from all over. 100 girls wouldn't be there competeing for 15 guys each paying 100, 000 pesos. The going rate is roughly double that and there are times when there are more guys than girls.

I stayed there last summer and had no problem bringing girls to the room.It might be because I had a extra wrist band. My trick was to have some tape and when I would enter the lobby I would attach the band to her wrist. I first had this idea for myself, as I hate wearing those damn things.

First I stayed in the edificio conquistador. I rented an apartment there for about 100.000 pesos a night. Originally when I rented the room the lady said it was no problem to bring chicas up. Well that night when I showed up with a chica the front desk gave me a problem and it took ten minutes of explaining to get my girl registered. They finally relented but said I would have to keep this chica for my whole week.

I took a stroll along Bocagrande yesterday (Sunday) for the first time. There were a ton of people, but things seemed very laid back. Based on reviews I was expecting to be hassled the entire time, but I wasn't approached a single time (I was walking right along the water, not sure if this makes a difference.). Of course, the downside is that I barely saw an attractive girl the whole time either, which I thought was very strange.

Anyway, based on WorldTraveler69's list, I stopped into the Hotel El Dorado looking for a good massage with a happy ending.

I entered from the beach side and was immediately ushered into the lobby since I didn't have a room. I inquired about the massages at the front desk and the girl working made a phone call and then told me an hour massage would cost $60K. This was more than the price quoted on the WT69's list, but I agreed.

A bellman then escorted me upstairs into the spa area where I was greeted by a fairly attractive young girl wearing a professional massuese outfit. She showed me to the massage room where there was another girl preparing the sheets on the massage table. At first I wasn't sure why the second girl was there, but as the massage started I realized that they were both giving me the massage. It was a four hands massage. Nice! So it appears this is standard procedure here.

The massage was very nice, but they kept me covered and generally stayed away from the funzone. Then on the flip one of the girls started massaging my bellybutton seductively, so I decided to make the gesture that I was okay with more. Now I'm not saying they were all smoking hot. There were some real dogs in the crowd. I do not know how in the world they make a living turning tricks. I would say out of a 100 the top 20-30 wouldn't disappoint many of us. I can't tell you how much the average girl would want because I paid mine 100.000 for short time. But I do think you can negotiate the price a bit because my girl tells me in emails not many tourists these days and too many girls there so business is bad for her. So sounds like a buyers market.

Unfortunately I just found this website so my info on Colombia and Thailand is a couple months old and I've forgotten some of the details.

I spent 10 days in Cartagena during August and had a great time.

I then went to hotel lemar that my chica recommended me and paid 85.000 for a pretty big room. It had no view, no kitchen, it was just a hotel room but price was good and located two blocks from beach and a block from the gym.

I worked out at the bodytech gym in bocagrande. I forget what the weekly rate was. It was expensive for Colombia standards but not so bad compared to what I pay in the states. Lots of equipment and not very crowded during the day when I went.

Now for the important part the chicas

LDV- I went there the first night around 10pm. Of course the place was almost empty so I sat down at the bar and ordered a beer. One pretty ugly broad was eyeballing me seriously so I had to be careful not to give her any eye contact 'because I didn't want her to come over. About 1030pm a few girls started to trickle in. Two walked past me to go to the bathroom that were really hot. About 5 minutes one of them approached me sat down, we talked, I ordered her a beer. We were having a great time and had some chemistry, so off we went to the conquistador. I hadnt asked about price so I was cursing myself while walking. After the delay at reception we got up to the room and had a pretty good session. She was after all colombian. She then asked me if I wanted her to stay all night. Cafe del mar- kickass place to chill on the city walls. Great breeze on top of wall so keeps the place comfortable. The techno music blasting gets a little old. The couches are great to hang out on and get close to your chica. Not alot of working girls there though so its kinda a bring your own chica kinda place. Food was ok, but took forever. Great place to go in early evening before mongering though in my opinion

Tu candela- great place for music and some salsa. Can be very crowded, located in old city. I went there only with my girl. There were a few semi-pros working and my GFs amiga was with us and working but definitely a hard place to get a chica because its not a hardcore mongering place. Again great place to take a girl. I forget the cover charge think it was between 10.000-20.000 but you got a drink coupon for that amount so wasnt a real cover charge for me

Elektra- opens real late. Almost all the girls from LDV go here after LDV closes. Again about a 15-1 ratio chica/dude ratio with again a good number of hotties and enough dogs around to keeping you on your toes

Mr babilla- also in old city. Great place with great music and decor. Some nights its dead but other nights there are lines outside. Cover charge some nights I forget how much but another good place for dancing

Beach action- I didn't partake of the beach action because my girl was with me most of the time. But its available. Looks hit or miss though. The touts are really annoying at beach, almost ruin a good time with the incessant selling of stuff. Be careful with the massage ladies, I actually had to kick one to get her to stop massaging me. Their little trick it to give you "a promocione" and they just start massaging you to demonstrate their skills, which were average to below average (I just can't get into a big fat black lady massaging me on the beach when a couple months ago little 19 year old thai girls were massaging me) they will then try to charge you $20 bucks for the promocione. First time I just learned my lesson and paid. Second time I did actually kick the lady lightly with the non-massaged leg to get her off me.

Restaurants-

I can't remember any of the names but I usually ate in one of the plazas or squares and all were pretty good meals, prices average.

Overall- Cartagena is a great place to and I'm going back in a week for another 10 days to visit the GF. I probably would be going back there even if she wasnt there

From my understanding with this agency you look through their pictures and they charge you 25 bucks to introduce you to the girl. Is this correct? In addition does anyone have any contacts for chicas with some a HUGE racks in Cartagena. I was at Pleyclub and LDV and there were some great racks but I'm talkin like DDD's, and fake is fine too.
