Specifically prices, locations and if they have jacuzzis.

Spell out the specifics, for example: "We'll go to my apartment on this same street, drink vodka or rum or gaseosa as you like, you can smoke a joint, I want you to stay an hour and a half, after that I will personally escort you to Elektra a bit after 3am, but I will leave you there as I don't want to go in. " The more you take the unknowns out of the equation, the happier she'll be to agree to a basic price.

This was good advice.

I was in LDV last night and had a nice conversation with a woman from Cali (how do you call them, I know it´s not Calientes, though that would seem logical and would be funny). I offered 100K and she said fine. I told her no problem to burn a J in my place, which she did. Nice experience. She stayed a couple hours before heading off to Electra. I´ll probably take her to the islands tomorrow.

First woman I talked to named Dana, I asked how much. She said 200K for a short time and then asked a little later how much I wanted to pay. I said 100K. It was really more of a general answer and I think if she had said OK, I probably would have said ´I want to pay 100, but not for you´. The woman from Cali was prettier anyway.

What I suggest is to take a girl with you from CTG to Sta Marta;I have been to Sta Marta and action was -IMHO- quite poor or anyway not comparable with CTG.

At LDV and Elektra I'm still paying 100k (about $45) for short time. Occasionally stretch to 150k for the very hottest or sought after girls in the club. (As we all know, the very hottest are usually not the same ones who are going to deliver you the best overall experience.)

In a nutshell, tell the girl what your plan and offer is. Make sure she knows the experience will not be problematic.

All types and all prices you can negotiate. Usually np anywhere to go with them. Price about $70 to $100/hr or so or $125 to $150 for the night..--Many taxi drivers speak English but few chicas do. So start learning if you don't know the basics. The beach is good near Hollywood beach sometimes but be careful not to go with anyone to their place let the chica come to you. Also, many vendors on the beach---they will bug you all day if you buy anything from one. Good Luck and enjoy. Safe place

October is the worst month of the year for rain in Cartagena. Sometimes that spills over into November. Usually by the middle of December the rains stop until April or May.

I remember a couple of years ago wading down the streets of Laguito in water above my knees.

The rain in general has been difficult for the whole country over the last several years. Those landslides in the mountains are horrendous.

3 days ago in CTG rain was unstoppable and tons of water made my day.

taxis could not get me to Hilton : the arroyo there was not a laguito but a big lake..they said to wait and to take opposite direction,but i was amazed with it and i did it myself...i walked into it and water was above my knees.

Wet experience but I had fun entering the Hilton : i was pouring water wherever.

Sitting at Riquisimos today and who do I see walking by looking for gringos. Tony! With the constant rain Hollywood playa is deserted. The roads are washed out all over Ctg. Guess Tony took it to the streets looking for clients. Same old same old at LDV. Wish it would stop raining! The flooding in all Colombia is terrible, many are suffering. Hopefully tommorow the sun will come out.

I'm a long time ISG subscriber and am very appreciative of all the useful information dispensed throughout this website. I'm heading to Colombia in late December/early January and will be traveling with a group of 5 buddies. Each of us are in our early 30's. It goes without saying that we're looking to have the best time possible. We have an apartment rented in Castillo Grande during the nights of December 28. January 2.

I've mongered throughout the world and I'm no stranger to the trade. However, there are some very experienced mongers on this thread and I'm hoping to get some feedback on how we should go about maximizing our time in Cartagena. If you had only 5 days/nights in the city, how would you spend it?

Where do we find the best beach action?

Should we arrange to hire a guide?

Is our mongering time best spent in the casas or in the discos?

Any idea where we should party on New Year's Eve?

Are there things you've done in the past that you might have done differently if given the chance?

Any useful info you care to share is certainly appreciated. Additionally, if you plan to be around during the time that we're there I'd be happy to hoist a pint with you.
