    Cartagena casinos

Texas Hold-em is being played at the casinos now. You can do tournaments (nightly?) or play cash games against sometimes not so good players. I won 700 dollars one night at La Perla, had other nights where I broke even or lost a little. Good diversion if you're bored...
Good to see ya back Westy!

Thanks for any info you may have.
Colombia already bootlegs just about everything they can afford to buy and they sell shit for pennies on the dollar in the street. Cartagena is one poor place dude.

The casinos suck, as they do everywhere. But, if you want to play blackjack there are two casinos worth playing in in CTG, and the La perla is right next to La dolce Vida. The only real problem with playing blackjack in the carribean and south america is the local players don't know how to play and get snippy with you when you hit on 16. Other than that, I have wasted enough time in these places to tell you they are a fair to average diversion if you get bored or run out of sperm.

    Hi Zev,

Sorry for my bad english, i have a friend who sells products from Spain to the colombian malls, like Carrefour, la 14, Olimpica... he always say that in Cartagena there a lot of poor people, and this people is out of the market (aprox. the 70% of citizens are very poor and don't have money for buy), better start in Bogota, Medellin or Barranquilla. In this cities you have more people with money than in Cartagenal. My friend always say that Cartagena is great place for invest in touristic activities (hotel, restaurant, disco, etc.), but for other bussines better start in other places.

I tried to send you a PM, but seems that your PM is disabled, i have a question for you.

I stayed in Cartagena last june, i know a crazy girl from Elektra called Valeria, he fucks incredible. I will return to Cartagena in october but i lost her cell number. And now i don't know if he is still working in Elektra or maybe he returned to her city in Barranquilla. I will try to learn to put photos and post one photo, maybe you can recognize this girl.

    No gracias

No gracias always works for me. Yes be stern if they persist.
WHAT ELSE IS UP IN CTG?????

    Try This

A stern "dejeme en paz!" or "leave me alone!" comes across more harshly and often works in Latin American countries. If they don't accept "no gracias", then go stronger.

"No Moleste" is after they have not heeded "no, gracias." Notice I said pushy vendors. Also it goes for venders who enter a restaurant where I am eating.

Its better than punching them, though I came close a few times.
"No" doesn't seem to work anywhere in Colombia. But watch the locals carefully: they use a side-to-side finger movement, and that works a treat even for us gringos.

I just re-looked. She was buried in the galleries. She was wearing a lot more make-up. Of course she's now 26 or so. Years of parties can take a toll.

As pereviously posted, Tom and I both knew her as Marianna. Of course, they frequently change their names.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll avoid her next time I am in CTG.
I just looked at the website for the place Tripp stayed and did not see her.

I last saw her in March of this year but didn't speak much with her. She was hanging with an Isreali named Schlomy who used to own part of Noam's restaurant. Schlomy is a good guy and not a druggie.

I did speak a lot with her sister. Big sister has left the "business" and no longer fucks for money. Big sis seemed fine.

    Pleyclub

I havent been to Colombia in years, first time since 98 I come back. Well my cousins here tell me of a place called pleyclub. I was wondering if anyone can give me any info on the place. Prices, girls, etc. Don't worry I'm fluent in spanish and can handle my own. I know its in El Bosque, my uncles office is right across the street, but he doesnt go there. He travels to Medellin and Cali, or Pereira. But yes any help would be good.

Kidnapping in Colombia - question to Bonhead

Thank You Bonhead. I am none of the above a) - d).

No entiendo exactamente todo tu hablaste.

Question: Are you saying as long as I am not a) b) c) d), then therefore I have nothing to worry about being kidpnapped?

Also, I dont understand your suggestion: What do you mean by "in the event you are NOT here trolling," ? Please explain.

As for hiring a bodyguard -that would only attract more attention. the only "body guard" I would need is a condom.

    Gracias.
