Whatever amigo ... bottom line is ... you're over-paying.

Paying a fair price is not exploiting anyone, starving anyone, etc ... over-paying is just that ... over paying ... and the prices will continue to rise as more and more gringos visit Colombia with the attitude: "I don't mind paying that price because in the US the prices are .... blah, blah ..."

I have friends, chicas, who work in these clubs in Colombia ... trust me, they appreciate you sure, but laugh about the prices you paid later ... they think it's funny that guys will pay some of these prices for their sex ... and some guys have paid even much more than you ... incredible.

Bottom line ... yes, pay the chica a fair price, but let's not get Colombia out of control like Panama / Costa Rica.

Hello Biffy and the other guys who want to give me a lecture on driving prices up. First, I hope you don't expect to get a Mercedez for the same price you pay for a Chevy Cavalier. The woman I paid COP 200,000 was absolutely the best looking, finest woman on the premises that night (in my opinion, of course). She started at COP 300,000, and it took an hour to agree on 200,000. There were definitely many women in the club that would have taken the lower prices you quote - I just didn't want them.

Second, my comment about the $2k US was merely to remind myself what a deal we get in Colombia. This woman was only the nicest experience I've had in about five years of this hobby - except for the woman I met in Medellin four nights later (which I also paid too much for according to some members here - same price, same characteristics, same wonderful experience).

Some of you may think that it is our mission to keep these people starving so we can exploit them. I'm not in your camp, so sorry. I am happy to pay a fair price for the excellent services I receive. Comparing what they do and the wage they receive to the current average wage rate in their country doesn't hold water for me. It's like saying a football player shouldn't make millions because Joe six pack only earns $45k year.

Finally, I've found that beating anybody down to the very last penny they will accept in a business transaction invariably leads to an unsatisfactory experience. For example, I seldom pick the lowest bidder on a construction job. It just doesn't pay off. You get shitty work, shitty attitude, and shitty satisfaction. After reasonable negotiations, I would rather pay a little bit more and get the higher quality.

A few months ago i was paying average of around 80-120k in CTG. Now thanks to this sort of thinking i'll have a hard time paying that again as the girls will expect gringo's to pay 200-300.

Paying those prices is a bit like passive smoking.... your actions cause me problems.

Comparing it with US prices or girls or services is plain dumb. Look at the price of everything around you. When you found out beer at the local bars was only about a dollar did you immediately pay triple like in the US? The girls don't think any more of you if you pay these inflated asking price, they quite often think you're a sap for paying that much to start with.

Rule No 1: There is LITTLE OR NO linear relationship between money paid and services rendered. Paying double does not guarantee twice as good a service.

Don't export fucked up US pricing to Colombia. Look at Costa Rica where the damage is already done.

Relatively speaking in the developed world goods are cheap and services expensive, in the developing world its the other way round. Lets keep it that way!

Not the biggest deal in the world here, but I tend to agree with the buddies who were giving you grief. The "mistake" you made was comparing how much TLN with a hottie costs in the USA. You weren't in the USA. You were in Colombia. This is how the prices get driven up, and why all the girls are asking for more.

I had one from LDV a few days ago that wanted 100K ST. In the bedroom she wanted it all up front and started making rules about no kiss, no touch my cookie, etc. Girl was 19 and a looker, but wanted to control the session.

I had a great time at the La Dulce Vita, hooking up with a sweet thing about 90 pounds with an incredible appetite. She asked for COP 300,000 for TLN, but accepted 200,000. My buddies were giving me grief about it, but she gave me an experience that would cost easy $2,000 in the States, so I told them to stuff it, with glee. What a night.

We hooked up with a tout name of Gregory for one day, and he took us to two different nightclubs. The first one was a dump, and charged $8 per beer for the lousiest strip show I’ve ever almost seen – they had the lights down so low you could hardly tell when she finally took her clothes off. But that might have been a blessing because she surely wasn’t attractive to my eyes. We left before I finished my beer.

The second place is called “Tink of the Sea.” This place is much nicer, wide open spaces, lots of tables, and about 20 women in bikinis were wandering around at 0200 Saturday. The women are not aggressive at all. If you want one to sit near you, you have to ask them over. But they will come over and be very nice to you if you ask. I picked a sweet thing for COP 135,000 for an hour. The women live in the rooms, kind of like a sorority house set up, with the women in residence for a contract period. My girl told me it was about a 50-50 split, with the house taking their share for rent, etc. The address is Nuevo Campestre Street 10 No. 56B-51. You would never think that this was a casa because it looks just like a auto repair junk yard from the outside. But it is nice enough inside. Drinks were $7 per here, but I didn’t mind it because the scenery was well worth it. Definitely a place to go back to.

Both clubs were visited by heavily armed Colombian police while we were in them. It was so strange – about six guys walk in with body armor, machine guns, shotguns, and pistols – but after a quick glance, everybody just ignores them! Except the proprietors, who casually walk over and start chatting them up. Several of the cops then case the joint, walking around slowly and giving some people some attention, others nada. In each case the management is at pains to let us gringos know that “no hay problema” (there is no problem) it’s just a normal law enforcement show of force to make sure no bad guys get any ideas about laxity in the PD.

Several threads have mentioned La Tripletera, and we tried to give them our business three times. But every time we went in there, the place was completely empty. I don’t know what was going on, but there were no women, and there were more doormen and wait staff then there were customers. So maybe someone can enlighten me as to what was going on there in Oct 2005.

One of the bedrooms in our apartment wasn’t that great because it was set up with bunk beds. But the building is friendly, has a small pool, is right on the beach, and we had complete freedom to bring guests home. For two guys, this is a total bargain because the delux setting really impresses the women.

I have paid up front several times without a problem and haven't had any more problems with street girls than club girls. In general the SGs are sweeter and have better attitudes than the club girls. They are also happy with much less money.

MDE is much larger with less tourists. You can, however, find plenty of non-pro action in any Colombian city including CTG. MDE is a very special place.

I'd be careful with street walkers (carreterra putas). I met one very cute one on the street in old city, she said she was 20 and she was, my doorman always checks IDs of girls I bring in, gave me wrong name though, they all do, we had a drink and I took some photos of her (I'll probably put them up later) so she is down to her g string asking for 100K which she was well worth but she wanted the money upfront.
