In going going assume you already know, but I'll post it here for others, the Carulla on Calle 10 where it meets Transversal Inferior (carrera 30) carries cuts of USDA stamped meat that look good for grilling (bot dry aged of course but from USA.

Unfortunately all the USDA stamped meat that both Carullia and EXiTO carry is all choice, not prime beef and expensive of course. It's all labeled Certified 100% Angus Beef which means nothing as far as grade. And I consider this meat, which seems to be offered in a lot of eating places kind of like Jose Cuervo Tequilla. Two brands with great marketing, but shitty products.

I've looked long and far for prime cuts of USDA beef in Medellin, but have yet to encounter it, and I've looked at JUMBO as well, besides local butcher shops. And Price Smart carry's USDA beef as well but it's not prime. I've also tried some cuts of meat from Argentina and Uruguay which can be found in the three major markets I mentioned. Yet the issue always boils down to how much fat is in the meat, and all of the meats are super lean, so I usually stick with the rib eyes because they have some fat. So when I want to BBQ steaks, I just order a 2 kilogram package of Rib Eyes thru Rappi.

Now if I could only find Russet potatoes here, but they do occasionally have Brussel sprouts. LOL.

If someone knows where to get USDA Prime Beef in a store in Medellin please speak up.

Others have already addressed one aspect of this post, but there's another angle which bothers me every time it comes up. Why are guys paying girls to tell them about other guys?

You can also order steaks thru Rappi, they have a kilo of rib eye you can get either whole or four pieces, and it's dry aged.

I ordered them once for a BBQ, and they were very good for Colombian beef, but unfortunately nothing compared to prime meats you can get in the US.

I was so relieved yesterday when I found out there would be no interruption of water supply in my building. I had one of regulars over. I was not surprised she spent quite a bit more time than normal in the shower.

Thank God I've been out of town in Buacamangra this weekend, and am returning Monday afternoon.

I think like somebody mentioned, the poorer barrios are getting hosed, and my Chica with me tells me that in her barrio, Santo Domingo, the water has been shutdown since Saturday morning, and is supposed to be turned back on Monday sometime, and that they have been trucking water into her barrio.

Landed at 11 om last Night. The line to Migracion was almost going out on the landing strip. I was through the line 3 hours later.

I mentioned earlier about posting this brief negotiation between Freckle and I. Maybe a few of you will find a point or two elucidating.

Notes: Obviously, the 250 was mil COP or $250.000 Colombian pesos, currently worth about $57 USD. A great deal for two hawt chicas. I have a friend who lives in Robledo. She told me the water to her house was shut off yesterday afternoon, and was told it will be off until Monday. It could be that the poorer neighborhoods have to suffer longer. I can understand if they have to stagger the time opening the water mains, but they should be able to shut off all the mains at the same time.

My friend told me this morning that the water was never shut down where he lives close to Estadio.

That's why I wrote "have fun with this post" at the end. Geez. If you follow me you know one of my sayings is "If it gets wet you wash it". I would say on average I hit the shower three times during a Ground Zero session to soap and wash my crotch, as do my chicas. But Americans are definitely obsessed with their ablutions, soaps, shampoos, and fragrances. I have PA or psoriatic arthritis (also known as Phil Mickelson's disease) so I have been medically advised to keep the overall body showers cool and to a minimum.
