I spent 10 days in Medellin in August and just came back. It was my first trip and overall it went very well. Some background info I am in my late 20's and speak decent spanish. I have been to Mexico a few time but never to Colombia. This forum helped me so I am giving back. I will try to be brief but know that this is my experience as a newbie and other people might have different experiences.

_ Huge amount of women willing to pay for play. It blows my mind how almost any women whose number I took (waitresses, students, girls seen outside) will entertain pay for play. Regular dates are also much easier to secure with beautiful women.

_ Gusto: Went to Gusto a Saturday night. It was overrated. One drink cost me 80000 pesos, more expensive than NYC. Also there is a cover charge. Girls were all hardened pros. Washed up and past their prime with tons of make up and botched surgery, not my style. They are all colluding to push for 300 usd which seems to work: saw some drunk gringos getting played. They spoke no spanish and used the translator app to communicate. Only girl I liked was the waitress so took her number and smashed the next day. Went there another time towards the end of my trip and once again talent is surprisingly lacking for the prices quoted. My friend found what he liked and negotiated down to 200 usd for an overnight.

_ Outside in Lleras Park is very mixed. Some hot girls and also some girls I would never touch. I spent a few hours at night just people watching and observing: most girls were getting 0 business. Not what I expected. Could see a few gringos that obviously wanted girls but they are shy and didn't approach the hot girls in group. They got accosted by washed up sharks instead, it was obvious they didn't like the girl but still went with her. Maybe too much in a hurry to get laid and too shy to approach the girls in groups? So tip is don't be shy and talk to the girls you like. I talked to the girls I found hot and got quotes and numbers. I always called their bluff: they would start with quotes around 300 - 500 mil but I always managed to take them to the 150 mil - 250 mil range.

I only went with one Lleras girl the whole trip, a hot 20 yo Venezuelan. Snatched her from her group and took her to a nearby bar. Negotiated what I wanted and agreed to 250 mil. She gave great service and stayed around 3 hours. I took many numbers but truth is Seeking and FB kept me busy and I only had 10 days this trip.

_ Facebook is indeed a gold mine. It has served me well. Girls will quote extravagant rates to gringos but call their bluff. I made two prepagos friends and they showed me the other side of the coin: business is slow. I don't like to cheap out but when I negotiate I almost always manage to take them to 150-250 mil + transport. Quotes are arbitrary: this hot 18 yo morena ended up staying a whole day with me for 250 mil and took me partying with her friend group (dangerous but against my better judgement) in a night club with only locals. She showed me her FB and she literally got some gringo in his 50's to agree to 700 mil pesos for an hour. She would have accepted 400 mil if he negotiated. So yeah price differences are wild.

I met around 4 FB girls and all were great. Most I paid was 400 mil for a night and lowest was 150 mil for a few hours. All gave great service and felt like semi-pros and took their time. One of the girl was not a prepago but eventually managed to convince her to go to a "date" with me. No price negotiated but gave her 300 mil after the night. I think it's fair to give her a little bit of money because I have no intention of becoming her novio.

_ Seeking also works well. Girls tend to quote higher. Paid 200 k for one and 300 k for the other. Worth it to me still: they were both students and showed me a good time. Girls tend to be more "upper class" in Seeking: FB has more girls from Bello, Itagui and poor neighborhoods. The girls I met in Seeking were students and seemed more classy in the way they dressed, spoke and also how they behaved in restaurants. I agreed to 500 mil for a girl that was really hot and it was worth it. 21 yo student that ended up being my favorite experience for this trip. It was actually a pleasure taking her to a high end restaurant and hanging out with her. Repeated with her on the last day of my trip and this is one I will be seeing again when I come back.

_ Loutron: Went once and I think it is overrated. Girls weren't that pretty and service is non GFE and rushed. Picked one that was a 7 since nothing better was there. Might just be my experience but for the same price termas in Brazil and FKKs in Germany blow it out the water. Even HK in Tijuana had much better looking girls. The mansion and the setting look great though. Just doesn't make any sense for me to pay 400 mil for girls that I don't even find that attractive when there is so much better out there. Felt a bit like Gusto: I was told pre-trip this is where the 10's hang out and I can say I didn't see any in these places. Not even a 9.

_ La Isla: Seems to be the most expensive spot in town (apart from Gusto scammers) but at least girls were hot and diverse in looks and styles. Went at night around 11 PM and there was a huge amount of girls of all types. I paid the cover charge and got a beer then made the round around the various tables where the girls were seated. Chatted and took the numbers of the girls I found hot then went with one that was a 9 in my book. Stereotypical tall, thick colombian look with pretty face. I don't like surgery but hers was small and not over the top. 550 mil is the price for the girl in the club with room included, no room for negotiation. Expensive but unlike in Loutron I felt like I got my money worth. Negotiated full GFE before: unlike in Loutron you have time to buy the girl a drink establish rapport and negotiate what you want.

_ So far one civie "GF" type that doesn't want money (at least for now). Usually spend the day going out with her then use prepagos at night. Met her in provenza and took her number. She speaks a bit of english and wants practice. Civie dating is worth it in Colombia but didn't have time to fully explore this option. Anyway thanks for the guys here who recommended the provenza area to find hot civies. It worked pretty well for me: a lot were with their boyfriends but the single ones responded positively when I talked to them. Could only go on dates with one because of time but will be back on my next trip.

I also did a lot of touristy stuff like spending a day in Guatape with a girl, visiting Communa 13 and other spots. I did some stuff that were ill advised safety wise like going to party with the prepago friends I made far away from Poblado but it ended up going well. Met and talked to a bunch of colombians away from the tourist hot spot of Poblado and also got to see how they live and party. Getting off the beaten path has worked out this time and I had a lot of great experiences but again not the wisest safety wise.

I have been and seen the all their belonging washed away during mud slide. Last time I went to visit a girl is to take her to ride metro to my place. She said "no metro" the moment I entered her place. I offered her 50 mil to take metro with me to my place. It's not a one time deal, it would be a few times a week while I was there. There was another 18 yr old girl said she did not have money because her period was just over. I told her I would pick her up at the station if she took metro to my place, and I would give her some money. Maybe there is a good one somewhere know that people are trying to help them and know to do the right thing, but so far I have not encountered one yet.

I think many would help if any of these girls life could be changed permanently by $1000. Why not?

I can tell you a few years ago I dated an utr working girl. And as many of you know I always side with the guys who spend more not less but in this instance I will tell you that not even 10 k will change their lives. They'll be broke within a month or two. And I know this from personal experience.

The amount really doesn't matter.

100 k could go just as fast. They'll buy car phone surgeries clothes bags and it'll all be gone poof.

What they won't do is something smart like start a business or buy a house.

That's nice, tax free salary in Colombia (5 x of min wage). To make min Columbian wage (250 $) she is just need to make sex 6 times, that's very little effort for something other women who work low paid jobs like cleaning, farming, retail or food processing are paid for whole month of hard work.
