Are you saying that the Motel owners are being asked to only rent rooms to persons with Cedulas. So this means a foreigner with a Passport cannot rent a room, or only if overnight?

Sounds a bit extreme if that is what is happening.

Perhaps JB2 can shed a little more light on the situation as posed by my questions in an earlier post.

My opinion is that this is part of a push back against sex tourism.

There are business and political interests who hate the explosion of motels and bars with backrooms that we like over the past 10 years. In addition, 9 out of 10 Colombian webcam models are working for a studio. That means every PM you send, every tip note, is also being read by the studio's monitor.
