Planning on staying at Hotel M for my trip to Medellin. A quick question for those who have been:

What is the chica flow like during the various hours of the day at Hotel M? Are there chicas around in the AM at all, or do most start arriving in the afternoon, and if so, how many? Around how many total China typically show up in the evening?

Generally very few in the am, maybe a chica who did an all-nighter lookin to get another trick before she heads home. The chicas usually start arriving about 1-2 pm then by 5 pm or so you can get 10-15 hanging out by the pool. My only purpose in responding was to help the member who asked for information and anyone else who may need it. Not to challenge your months at a time experience. In the same spirit, please use that experience to correct anything I wrote that is inaccurate. In case you are really not sure what I'm on about, and again to help anyone who may need the information, I will explain further. You are correct, most of Boston is within a 10 block walk (or bus trip) south toward the casas you named, and the southern edge of Boston is within four streets of the tranvia route. I did not want a new guy to get confused and seek out the tranvia and then start looking for casas because, as I mentioned, there is only one on the route and the others are 6 to 10 streets north of it.

Uber, DiDi, and taxis (Cabify) have been my go-to transportation providers. If it's not raining and not during rush hour(s), Uber and DiDi are about the same. Uber raises they prices ridiculously when it's raining. DiDi also increases prices during rain. Both increase prices during times of heavy traffic. If it's raining, usually Cabify is the best price.

For the past six to nine months, all forms of transportation on an app are not as plentiful as prior to that. I rarely flag down a taxi on the street, and never around Parque Lleras. Most taxi drivers in areas outside Parque Lleras are honest, but it only takes one to spoil your ride. I have tried In-Driver; but in my experience, they usually only accept fares equal to or higher than one of the other three. Cabify gives a price range. They usually stay within that range, but sometimes go over.

An app provides some sense of security because you have their name and license plate number.

It's too much trouble trying to stick with one driver.

I'm old school, I tell the Chicas to grab a cab, and when they arrive, I pay the meter amount.

And my experience with taxi's has been good with the exception of around the Holiday's when there was an acute shortage of cabs, the drivers would ask where your going, especially around the Poblado Metro Station, and give these bullshit quotes at least double of what the meter would read.

And yes the drivers around Lleras, and especially when it's raining, will try to gouge you, but generally speaking, most drivers have been professional, polite, and respectful as long as you don't slam one of the doors on the cab.

The tranvia literally does not enter or pass through Boston. There is one casa I am aware of along the route of the tranvia. Immigration is very efficient at MDE. Unless your flight arrives right after another flight, you should be out of immigration in less than 30 minutes after arrival. If you have pre-arranged transportation or use the white taxis, you should be in Poblado in less than an hour after you get out of the airport.

A tip for guys flying into MDE.

To speed things up, I always sit in the front of the plane as close to the exit as possible.

If your in the back of the plane, it may take as long as 30 minutes or more, but if your one of the first in line, it could be as short as five minutes.

Regardless, MDE as you mention is very efficient, way more than Bogota, which I try to avoid flying into.

Immigration is very efficient at MDE. Unless your flight arrives right after another flight, you should be out of immigration in less than 30 minutes after arrival. If you've pre-arranged with a FB lady, almost all are safe. There will be very few available at that time of night if you are searching. Strip clubs are safe, but attractive ladies are rare.

I just checked arrivals at MDE, and there are no international arrivals between 7 and 8pm. Flight from Miami (8:10pm), from Cancun (8:12pm) and from Mexico City (8:25pm).
