Hey guys, this question might not have been asked here before. I working remotely so I was planning to get the digital nomad visa for 2 years and plan to set up shop in Colombia. I speak Spanish fairly well. I am not looking to monger per se, but would love to anywhere in Colombia. But the recent news about drugging and murder makes me wary. If you don't plan to monger or only monger a little how safe is Colombia for living long term and for long term relationships. Thanks, muchas gracias!

You got to look at the optics of everything. I've frequented Colombia 5 times. I stopped only because I relocated to UAE for a bit. I'm planning on doing the digital nomad visa next year after I finish my online PhD. The people who are murdered as usually involved in some shady business. The people getting drugged are not vetting girls or making themselves to be a mark in my opinion. For example, there are several videos on social media of Americans flashing clash (making it rain in clubs), getting ridiculously drunk, fucking women on balconies, etc. Everyone there knows you have money by your mere presence of being there (flights aren't cheap), so showing opulence in front of people who are not making a lot will definitely increase the odds of something unfavorable happening to you.

My advice to you is if you invite a woman to your room, don't have anything work a lot of money in plain view (Keep the good guys honest). If you want to part-time monger, stick to Facebook girls. They are all pretty vetted and at least one American on their friends list has been with them and can tell you about it. If they provide drugs, don't take it. Keep your drink with you at all times.

Long-term relationships can be had quite easily in Colombia. Just make sure they aren't party girls. I suggest walking around a mall and approaching women. Hell, even approach them at a restaurant or coffee shop. They are fairly easy to talk to and you can be assured they aren't party girls. Every woman in Colombia is beautiful, you just want a humble one. I don't recommend looking for them online because 90% of them are pros pretending to be regular girls until it's time to meet and they want a payment after you've already met them and took them to bed.

With all due respect I do think medellin has changed too much.

I'm one of the few that don't mind paying whatever it takes to have a good time.

But even I had to draw the line at 300 usd for one hour and a covered blow job.

I've spoken to a few vets that have lost regs because now they want more $$ for shittier service.

I have left medellin and found a new home in Colombia and just had a blast.

Medellin is simply not worth it anymore. And I'm one of the few willing to pay 300 usd as long as I get my way.

But the western attitude has hit the paisas hard.

So I do eventually think it'll go back cause right now the paisas egos, it's at an all time high.

And if they continue down this road many gringos will realize it's simply not worth it when they factor in lodging travel and food to pay for 300 mil or 300 usd covered blowjobs and the risk of getting drugged is even higher than ever.

Where in the heck are you goin lookin for action in mde?? I have been there 20 or so times in the last 12 years & have NEVER paid 300 usd for a CBJ. 300 cop for a BBBJ / GFE / at times BBFS over & over again. What the scene used to be 2-3 years ago, or 2-3 months ago doesn't matter. It changes. It has changed and it's not changing back. It's up to you to adapt to the change. If you read the board, most guys fall into 2 groups. Either they're complaining about the changes, or they're still having a great time.

It has everything to do with attitude. Practically everything has everything to do with attitude. Here are some examples:

1. There's a long line at the grocery store. You could get upset because you don't want to wait, then take it out on the cashier. You walk away pissed and had a bad experience. Or you could start talking with the people in line, crack a few jokes, and greet the cashier cheerfully. You walk away smiling.

2. The girl, in whatever city, you had hoped to get, wants too much, ghosts you or gets a shitty attitude. You could complain that the scene is ruined and have no fun. Your day or night and possibly trip is ruined. Or you could look at it as an opportunity to try something new. Go to a new club, play tourist, strike up a conversation on the metro. There are endless possibilities. Next thing you know you've spent several hours hanging with 4 college girls who really enjoy your company. Turns into best trip ever.

If gringos are ruining whatever you think is being ruined, go where the gringos don't go. 90% of Medellin is almost never visited by gringos, many are nice, upscale areas with great food and nightlife.

Or leave Medellin. Go to Armenia, Ibague, Monteria. There are things to see and do and beautiful women just waiting for some guy to smile and say Hello,.

I only started going to Medellin less than a year ago so I don't know how it was. I can imagine that it was great before the large increase of gringos and passport bros to Medellin. I only know how it is now and right now, it is still pretty good. There are many girls to choose from so you don't have to go with girls who are charging too much or have too many restrictions. It is up to you to do the work to find the girls that you like for the price that you want.

Medellin has many options and you just have to find the options that you like. Casas and street walkers in El Centro if you are on a tight budget. Nightclubs in Park Llerras if you want to meet the girl first. Facebook if you are willing to put in the time and effort before your trip. I am a Facebook guy and so far it has been working out very well. No complaints so far.

I consider the lights out routine a huge red flag. I have an iron clad policy against it. I like to see what I'm doing and with whom I am doing it.

Well probably the worst thing isn't the the lights out routine as you know something is amiss and can abort.

But when you pick someone, and the clothes come off, and they take off their bra and their boobs drop, kind of like runny sunny side up eggs, this is a definite boner killer for me.

Peru is a great tourist destination, but not a mongering one. It has very little talent.

Panama is overpriced and the talent is all imported. USD is an official currency, and the local one is tied to USD 1:1 anyway.

I was in CR last time in 2016, and it already sucked. Too many gringos, and the talent is limited.

Maybe Venezuela could be our next klondike, if the regime changes.

Agree on Panama. I been and have no plans going back. From a monger point of view. Nothing but a overprice Medellin. Better off going to Miami. Majority of the working girls in Panama are from Colombia.

Facebook Guide.

I honestly don't know why I'm typing this, but I'm tired of seeing how to build Facebook list. I know this will get buried. But with my title, I hope somebody is smart enough to use the search.

Let me say this first. If your trip to Medellin is within two months. Don't bother building it. You don't have enough time.

So this is how I build my list and I'm not sitting at 700 friends, and I get request every day. I also started my Facebook account in Nov 2022. For my.

MDE trip in Jan 2023.

I also want to say! Don't not go crazy on the Facebook request, maybe limit your self to 10-15 request per day or Facebook will block you! Also, don't married it with your real Facebook, don't even use the real number. Keep your real fiends from finding your activity. Create a new account under a different number with a different name.

First thing I did, I went to one of those Facebook group like club Isla. I look at the post and see who comment and like. Sometimes it's a girl, or it could be a monger. So, I'll look at the girl and I might add her, or if her friend list is visible. I'll skim through them. Same thing for the mongers (us). I'll see who likes their post and most likely it be a working girl. Add her. Look at her friends. If visible. Add them. While I'm doing this I'm skimming through their likes, comments and adding them. If you happen to find a monger with a visible fiends list, to hit a gold mine! Mines is hidden! So good luck! This won't be instant! And keep in mind on the 10-15 fiends per day.

By time you get to like 50 friends, Facebook will do the rest when it comes to suggestion. And you can just relied on that. And once you get to 100-150, they will start adding you. And at this point, your just at a revolving door.

So yes, Facebook requires a lot of work. Medellin requiere work when finding good girls from the internet.

Rio is definitely a nicer city and has more attractions to offer, but in terms of mongering, both cities went downhill. I agree with everything you said about Medellin, but Rio is not any better these days. Mabs sucks, Dolce Vita sucks, Marrakech sucks too. Prives are low quality, same as MDE casas. The only venues that stand out are termas (mid to higher end), simply because there is no such concept in MDE. However, online game in MDE is much better, folks have great success with FB, Seeking, even Tinder, despite scopolamine cases. I have tried online game in Rio, and honestly, it just sucks. Seeking is not popular, very few options there. There is no FB game, because it is kinda unique to MDE. And barely any fish on Tinder, at least for me, almost no matches. So, in resume: online game is better in MDE, especially if you are looking for semi-pros. Everything else sucks, or is hit or miss. In Rio, termas is the best option, in terms of price / value / fun.

Non pros: Rio has much better talent, but you have to speak Porto and stand out, as they are used to foreigners, plus local dudes are better looking than an average Colombiano. In MDE, it is probably a bit easier to hook up with a non pro (not easy, but easier than in Rio), Spanish is less of a barrier, and girls are less demanding.

But in the grand scheme of things, despite all the negatives, both cities are worth visiting and are much better mongering destinations south of USA, along with big brothers SP and Bogota, than any other places in Latin America

Yes, Rio isn't what it was since the days of Help. But the world was much different back then already. The way we communiucate and connect. We globalization what we trade in being able to find a chica online nad talk and meet we loose the attentiveness of the girls in the moment cause they rather zone out on tiktok.

I imagine a dream world would be a club like help and then like phone locker pouches like they have at stand up comedy shows that don't allow you to be on the phone in the venue. Of course it is a dream no one is going to invest that much just for some working girls. Just enjoy what you have now, no matter the city it still beats what we got in the US!

Downhill is relative because every destination has gone downhill so that puts Brazil still at the top. Costa Rica from what I'm reading sucks now, Tijuana is a shell of what it was 15 years ago. What we need is a new destination like a Peru or Panama to step up the infrastructure for our hobby and become what those places used to be.

The Termas to me are overpriced and boring, I find my fun elsewhere and there's so much, it's overwhelming at times, LOL.

I head to Medellin in a few days, and I'm sure it'll be great!

Besides my stable of amigas already there, I know there are more in the wait.
