First time visiting Medellin with bare bones knowledge of Spanish. I am planning to stay in St Peters apartment in Laureles, will be arriving at airport around 10 AM on a Sunday.

Would you advise me to book a cab with an English speaking driver beforehand or should I take the official taxi? Any idea how much it should cost to go to Laureles from airport?

How about currency exchange. I don't mind exchanging a small amount at airport but wonder if there are any currency exchanges within walking distance of St Peter's apartment suites that would be open on Sunday noon?

Can the experienced ones please advise?

I would consider booking ahead, one of those guys who holds up the sign with your name on it inside the airport. I think you pay ahead for those, too (I've done it, I just don't remember) and that would be you max convenience and ease, and they will also have your destination address ahead of time. This is also the most expensive option but the value is still worth it.

Or you can print the name and address of your destination address on a 3 x5 card or save it on your phone and show it to a yellow cab driver at the airport and they will put it in their phone GPS and get you there with the same result for around 100 mil COP +/- 20 mil COP ($21-$32 USD total) which is still an incredible value considering you will be taking a scenic taxi ride though the mountains that would cost you $75-$90 USD back here in the states.

If it were me, I would print the name and the address of St. Peters on a 3 x5 card and also write $100.000 COP (yes, with a period) or about $27 USD and you will have guys clamoring for your business at the airport. Actually, that's a lie if it were me I would be taking the bus but not for a first timer who doesn't speak Spanish.

At the airport, the last money exchange closest to the doors you go through after customs and before you get where the public (and taxi drivers) can wait for you inside the airport is a good place to exchange money. The other money exchange inside the airport charges more. Also, there are ATM's at the airport.

If you are asking about money exchange near your apartments then no offense, but you have not been reading this Forum. You will use an ATM and from where you are, walk along the main drag Avenida 70 back toward the metro station (South?) toward San Juan Blvid which is the closest major intersection, cross San Juan then cross Avenida 70, keep heading toward the metro station and after you go through one more stoplight you will see the Davienda ATM on your right.

If you walk past the Dorado 70 you went too far, but there is another ATM on the opposite side of the street further down. By now you are within a 12 minute walk of Jumbo with 4 or 5 different ATM's and a great place to shop but giving you directions to walk there from the Avenida 70 is a little tricky, unless you walk all the way down to the last intersection before the metro which is busy with a stoplight, turn right and head down that curved road for about 1/3 of a mile and Jumbo is on your right you can't miss it. During this walk from San Peter you will have walked past or near an Exito (grocery store) a D1 (a discount grocery store that sells more bulk) and a ton of little restaurants, bars, etc, drug stores. Good luck.

P.S. From the San Peter if you head the opposite direction down Avenida70 away from the metro there are even closer ATMs on the other side of the Avenue but I think they are BanColombia but whatever they were I remember avoiding them because of the lousy rates. But hey, when you need cash you need cash. Ostee Out and I hope this helps.

I find that with Seeking girls, the cute, but more average looking girls tend to be cheaper, lower mileage, and better performers. I have no experience with Fayboo chicas, and believe what your reporting.

But one would think that the "uglier" chicas perhaps should be better providers. Maybe it's because of the way Fayboo operates, with all the transactions / negotiations being arranged before meeting in person, hence once the deal is set, and the Chica shows up, it's difficult to abort the session without paying up. And I can see how some of the Fayboo Chicas when going with guys, just view it as a one time transaction, so could care less how it goes.

Again, I have no Fayboo experience, and maybe other board members here have encountered exactly the same thing as you, with the uglier Fayboo girls being the worst providers.

Contrary to this, I believe the opposite is true for the street scene, with the uglier girls being the better providers, and the dynamic as your aware is very different with everything face to face, and the uglier girls having to compete with the prettier ones on the street.

5) Once you have a Facebook page and are "friends" with a few Medellin women, Facebook itself will recommend more "friends". Send request to those you find attractive and are in Medellin. If you are FB Friends with another board member, you can peruse their friends list and send out friend requests, knowing that they are likely to better respond. I've made the same mistake, with different girls. At this point she has to be attractive enough that I'm okay with mediocre service, or she has to have some other appeal. If we assign flakiness a 1-10 scale, I would give her a four with ten being your mom's apple pie crust. Not trying to excuse her behavior, yeah she flaked. And I am not suggesting you should give her another chance. I am usually "one and done" in those situations. But she did give you a final call to tell you she was not coming and that is more than you will usually get.

But don't be too quick to throw the baby out with the bathwater. I have eventually gotten together with chicas who flaked on me at first who turned out to be worth the flake, I mean worth the wait, jeje. And once they get to know you, if they like you, the flakiness disappears and your problem may transform into getting them to stay away or go home.

Zero tolerance is certainly a viable approach to flakiness, and I need to keep in mind, I am in it for the long game, not a one week visit to Medellin and those guys probably will want tighter time management.

But if your mindset is more tuned in with the culture, you might find yourself rewarded in the long run for eating your pie with a little bit more of a flaky crust. Off the top of my head, one of my perennial Top Ten girls Purrfekt Piel was a total flake in the beginning. But she would call and tell me that she wasn't coming and usually it was because she was working and going to school and just too tired by the time our appointment time came around in the evening.

Now? If you read my Top Ten she is the easiest girl on my List to be around. She is also my most requested chica from other guys here (I don't refer her unless I know you). She is on time, and if my schedule is open she will stay for 4-6 hours or more for her usual 1.5 hour rate. Most of our time is spent in comfortable silence and she will do anything sexually I request, hold any position, for however long I want and never complain, and she will come back for more. On how you figure out which chicas you give a second chance and which ones you don't? I have no idea other than think what made you want to get with the chica in the first place, and compare that to the potential of other new girls who probably have the same risk of flakiness. But even if so, you miss the point. It's not that most everyone "sucks at math" (though, sad to say, that may well be true). Pretty much anyone who mastered their multiplication tables in the third grade could calculate the right answer if given enough time—say 30 seconds or a minute. But 99% of the human race (with the exception of yourself, and perhaps a noble physicist or two), if only given 5 seconds (as in the Khaneman / Tversky experiment) would need to make a top-of-the head guesstimate rather than being able to complete the entire sequence of calculations. The research establishes as a fact that most any of us, if subjected to that tough time constraint, and presented with the sequence starting with the low numbers first, will make a lower guesstimate than if presented with the same sequence in the reverse order. Hence the name of Kahneman's book that popularized their research, "Thinking, Fast and Slow".

A fellow monger sent me a PM asking my opinion on how to make 3-ways more viable and fun. Maybe a couple more of you guys might find this helpful. I am certain there are gaps in my knowledge, angles I have not considered, or differing opinions on this subject, so any further insights appreciated.

Random three-ways can be one of the most disappointing P4P experiences reported and here's why I believe that is the case. By "random" I mean the way most newbies will set up a 3-way up, with two random, unknown girls who may or may not know each other. Then what transpires is a "tag team" where the girls take turn doing the same 'ol, same 'ol with you while the other chica watches, or even worse, while the other is stealing from you while you are distracted. Tag team thievery is a common mechanism. Always keep a set of eyes on both girls and for Gawd's sake don't get into the shower with one of them while the other is sight unseen in your room.

I don't always use the following rules, but when I do I am usually pleased with the outcome. First, I have fucked both girls separately before we meet for the three-way. Then, the girls either happen to know each other or they get a chance to meet and at least eyeball each other before the actual three-way. The point is a little bit of familiarity among the participants goes a long way for predicting success in a three-way.
