I think I failed at my Facebook attempts for my week vacation. I added women who had devil horns and hearts and stuff and even added names that were given from nice board members, but out of the 94 Friends I have only two messaged me back and both wanted in excess of 600 mil. I'm not the most attractive 50 year old, but I'm average. I think I'm going to stick to the casas mentioned here and maybe go on the websites too. Maybe next trip I'll change my Facebook approach but I think it's too late to fix now.

I usually get a response saying something like: Yes, when would you like to plan a visit. I don't usually initiate a discussion about pricing but I always plan on paying the FB girl 200 + taxis. What you are saying is that attractive girls = shitty service. This is not always the case. Ugly girls can provide shitty service as well. Service has nothing to do with how a girl looks. Service depends on various factors. I happen to believe looks and performance have a correlation coefficient of zero. Maybe its different for Pensionado visa renewals. The Pensionado-Rentista renewal I got this summer is good for 2 years.

I assume it was only 2 years because after that, one should be eligible for the Resident instead of Migrant class of visa. Five years of M gets you an R. Five years of R and you become eligible for citizenship and a passport.

But I know other changes are coming into effect in Oct regarding property purchase visas. Currently if you spend above $150k you can get an R. After October you can only get an M. So its not a bad idea to buy property now and get the visa and a great exchange rate.

Probably the biggest change is with the Pensioners Visa. I know two guys that got them this year and they were only issued for a year versus three years under the new regulations. Also, regardless of the Visa you obtain, you must have Colombian Health Insurance, and that's a whole topic in itself.

And there is no longer a way someone can show up with approximately 250,000 $ USD, invest the money in a business or property, and within six months be a Colombian resident. Residency now requires being in Country five years before you can even apply for residency.

In your case, perhaps they will issue you a special "Mongering Visa."

I must be wearing rose-colored glasses. Love will do that to you. My chicas look gorgeous to me, jaajajaja and even more, they excite me sexually. Plus, I usually don't post with the intent of "look how beautiful my chica is". Since I was under the impression that the new visa regs supposedly don't go into effect until late October. As with many things Colombian, what they say, what they write down, and what the do, can be three different things depending on the day of the week and where you are in the country, so I suppose we'll have to wait and see.
