Hi.
I am staying at hotel Dorado.
Got a great rate for 36 dollars.
Lots of hot water.
It's Chica friendly.
I live in Guyana.
But am Canadian citizen.
Scotiabank I pulled Cash last night.
Rate was 3300.
Included a 20900 pesos charge.
I have a TD card.
Migracion was quick yesterday about 15 minutes.
I am east Indian so if anyone ys a Hotel Dorado.
And see me say Hi.
My last trip was in November.

Posts: 4015There is lots of punter / provider activity in Parque Bolivar. It's somewhat of a niche market sometimes referred to as "alternative lifestyle. " You are spot on about the danger and it's not only after dark. It's astonishing how many violent crimes happen in such a small parcel that actually contains a police station.

Periodista Park, better known as "Stoner's Park" can be fun in the evenings, and many years ago Parque Lleras was a bit similar in that people would openly be smoking dope sitting inside the park.
So many people are using drugs in Medellin. As an example today while leaving the Parque Berrio Station I headed down the main drag to the backside of the Museum and I saw people smoking weed, snorting coke, sniffing glue, and people shooting up. All in walking no more than about 500 meters.
There's so many tourists now, and without the barricades at Botero Plaza, a lot of the drug use I mentioned used to occur there as well.
I think the barricades are going to be permanent.
