Hi all,

Make long story short, just bougt my ticket to Medellin. Leaving in 2 days. I read through 10 pages of this forum as well as the list / hotels.

Coming back from a deployment, I decided to go to Colombia for my post deployment leave. Last minute sort of thing. Have fun, and meet some girls which I sorely missed while deployed.

I'm fluent in Spanish, relatively young (40). Based on my limited research, I was going to rent an apt in poblado region. Near parque lleras for a week. I haven't reserved it yet.

I'm looking to meet nice looking girls. I don't mind going out and meeting girls at bars / clubs, but my experience with latinas (at least in Peru / Ecuador) is that they form this little circle when out with friends, and it's kinda of a challenge to break in especially if you're flying solo. I don't know anyone in Medellin, so in that respect meeting nonpros could be a challenge as they may see me differently. So I don't mind prepagos / prostitutes. And price isn't a huge factor. You save a lot of money while deployed and stuck on a base.

Sounds like there isn't much of that in Poblado region. Poblado looks like an upscale place with cafes, restaurants etc. Which is cool and great place to decompress. Based on what I read, I will need to take a taxi (or metro train. Is that safe?) to the casas up north in el centro. If lucky, I can bring a girl back to my apt. Sounds like Energy and some of the other places in casa centro is the place to hit. Right?

ALso escorts online, although pricier. But sounds like they make house calls.

I obviously don't have time to hit internet dating sites.

Are there SW around Poblado?

Where in el centro are most SW? I'm not interested in depressing glue snifers or jailbait. My experience in Lima with SW was actually kinda fun. Adrenaline rush and sleezy, which I like as a change in pace. Ideally I would like a safe place near SW, and not far from centro casas.

Any recommendations for a place like that?

You would have to make arrangements with the girl, it's not the kind of place that would charge you a multa (takeout fee), they want the girls there for their shift. No, someone made mention of a new one in a report that sounded cool but they offered not even a hint as to the location as I remember. I have seen some small strip bars over by the night clubs that I imagine have girls, but I was on a date and really, really wasted. The night clubs I am sure have girls but they also have some local duros as the places start to fill up.

I would say your best bet is to make a like-minded friend in Bello, a local. The kind of guy who would take you to the Hilton Bar and shit like that in the Centro, a dude who lives there and frequents the joints. A half bottle of rum will make you a friend quickly.

If you are not staying with the hotel "no entry".
Not even if you have friends staying there, you can meet them down at Juan Valdes.
Now, the partners have invited friends over at curtain times but do not do it very often, I guess because there never there.
Now there are curtain exceptions, like if you have stayed with us before and wanted to stay but we do not have any rooms, you can come and hang.
Minimum night stay is 4 nights.

I can understand there policy most guys are cheap, and they will get a cheap room and go visit the mansion, The Reason why the mansion can get $100.00 a night is because that is where all the action is.

That is still their strict policy. I once went to drop off a package for a friend who was staying there and despite telling them I lived in MDE and I was just there to see him, they busted my balls about it. Ultimately they relented but I got the sense they were making an exception. I made it clear I wasn't there to talk to the girls also.

Plus you see that so many people are dishonest and aggressive while the judicial and political systems are corrupt and inept. Back to your situation. You have two options. If you don't care about this place, for one reason or another, don't go back. If you care, go back in to the boss and apologize. Tell her that you were having a shitty day, it wasn't her fault, and you lost your temper. Buy a 2 k soda, give her 5 k, and tell her to keep the change. Unless the boss is a total jerk, all should be forgiven.

I am sure there are bad apples in other, or almost all, casas as well. Just talk to the girl before you choose. If she does not smile or is unfriendly, don't pick her. Also ask mamasan if the girl you like is carinosa.

Went to this spot on Saturday. A decent lineup. I apologize since I am terrible with names, but I think my girls name was Sara or Sarita.
