I'm glad you liked my post bro. I was there over the last cpl months in September and October. Unfortunately I won't be there while your there because I have work obligations, but I plan on coming back in December or January. Best times to go to Centro are between 4 pm to 8 pm. And Saturdays tends to have the highest amount of chicas whereas Sundays were the slowest days. I stayed at Hotel Calle Real on calle 51 (near the church) while I was there this last time. While the hotel isn't the best, it was cheap and close to the action. Hope you have a great trip bro.

Though Gustos is not my scene, Yes, as a business operation it is quite fair (with the to me minor exception of relatively pricey beers and cocktails). As I had written at the end of my prior post, but was somehow deleted by ISG: "In my experience, after paying the entry charge, one can hang out as long as one likes (dancing, chatting up chicas, collecting their WhatsApp links in the most likely vain hope of negotiating sex for a reasonable price at some later date, are just ogling the eye-candy) without anyone on the staff pressing you to order a drink or spend a cent. " If anyone is clipping anyone, it is the independent putas who themselves have paid to get in for the chance to prey on big-spending gringos, not Gusto's management.

What I do miss most of all in the Medellin mongering scene (great as it is in most respects) are normal local bars with a dance floor and a mix of both working girls and locals just out for a night on the town. The small, seedy bars in El Centro have their charms (at least during daylight hours) but don't really fill the bill.

I remember visiting San Francisco in the 1980's when Broadway was flooded with strip clubs and burlesque shows that catered to the sailors and the handful of soldiers from the Presidio, a hot sexy stripper would pull the old "why don't you buy me a glass of champagne and the bill would be something outrageous. So I suppose that is a true "clip" joint.

I would also suppose it depends on your definition of getting "clipped" - the prices of the drinks alone in Gustos is highway robbery. A person can walk down the street and get a beer at a different bar for half and a cheap person like myself will just visit the liquor store Mercalleras next door and pay a fraction of the price and then go drink it in the park. Just as much eye candy and if there is a hottie SW walking around the park its about a third of the price to take her home.

I was in Gusto last Saturday. There were more girls than guys. Asked average looking girl who was sitting next to me if she could go for an hour. She said she would for $150 and $250 for whole night.

Didn't even bother to continue conversation. Even SW in that area, asking price is min 250 pesos.

In my experience the best places are casas. If you make couple trips casas, definitively you would find better looking girls as I did.

Fantasasia Energy is a tourist trap. Went there 3 times knowing that it was bad but hoping to see better service and good attitude / looking girl. Three times got disappointed.

1/2 HR 130 and everything is extra.

Got lucky with Facebook and Tinder girls. However, don't expect same looks that you see in heavily photoshopped pictures. Expect at least 40 less what you see in pics..

I believe the price was 160 k for 1 hour last November at Energy. I've usually had good luck there, but I pick about 85% based on the girls attitude and personality. Picking the hottest girl is a sucker's bet. She's the one who gets all the customers, so she doesn't have to worry about performance and attitude.

I've seldom noticed a big difference between Facebook girls and their photos. However, I tend towards the girls who post frequently with lots of photos. There are some who just have a few pictures from a few years back, which are photoshopped, but most, in my experience, are mostly untouched.

The solution to the girls who don't respond to your messages immediately is easy. Send a few messages a week or two in advance. Tell them you'll be there soon and want to see them, then get them on WhatsApp. Once you're there, send another message to find out when is best for them. That allows them to make arrangements if needed and show up closer to on time.

The mistake some make is to send a message and expect the girl to show up on short notice. I normally will hit up the girl I want sometime late afternoon. I'll find out if she's available and when she can get to my place. If she says 7 pm, I'll expect her around 7:30.

If you're planning on returning regularly to Medellin I don't recommend booking multiple girls for the same time. If more than 1 shows up, you can have problems. If 1 or more is already in a taxi when you start cancelling, the word will spread about you and you'll have trouble getting anyone to come over.

Just as many of the girls have a reputation for good service, us mongers develop a reputation as well. They talk about us as much as we talk about them.

Gusto is what it is, just as the Mansion is what it is. Each is great for some people and terrible for others. It's the same with El Centro. There are guys who shouldn't go there, others thrive on it.

Can someone explain to me the accessibility of La Isla? Google map searches place it on a curved street north of Avenida Las Palmas, and you cannot see it from the street view. The question I have is: you need taxis to and from due to its location?

Unless you brought a mule, you'll probably want to take a taxi, Uber, DiDi or whatever. It's not somewhere you can just walk to. Those hills are steep.

I think that some guys are overthinking the P4P.

Numero 1 - learn some freaking phrases, aka communications skills, to get you by. If you are in Medellin, Rio, Pattaya, CR, DR, who cares? It is all the same. The more you can communicate and read the chica, the easier it is on you and her. The GFE probability will increase with your communications skills.

Numero 2 - RTM. Forums, websites, ask other mongers, ask the chicas. There are thousands of ways to get information. Some guys do not listen, read or follow advice. They will always overpay and will never reach that true GFE. There is nothing that you or I can do about them. The chicas recognized them and played them. It is pure capitalism.

* Follow the first two, and you will get your monger star.

Numero 3 - Read Chris Voss "Never split the difference." Youtube and join the Black Swan channel. Learn, memorize and practice how to negotiate. To achieve GFE, is not what you paid but how happy YOU and the chica are with the price. It does not matter what I paid, or the next guy paid for it. Too high for you, and it sours it, too low for her, and you will not get the full GFE. Continuously pursue the sweet spot where you are happy, and she is too.

Numero 4: Be a romantic, a poet. It does not cost anything, but the payoff is enormous. For example, cojer or chingar are good ways to ask girls to bed. For me, while I'm asking them for their number, I test the number by sending a "Te Deseo" to her number. It provides all the information she needs to let her know that you are taking her to bed. In Colombia, use the term "Mi Reina", My Queen, to talk to a chica. It just goes along a long way.

Numero 5: Be a gentleman. Whether she likes it rough or not. Always be a gentle-man. By doing number 3 above, you will learn to get what you want while making her feel like it is her decision.

No matter how high priced (overpriced for most of us) their services may be, they cannot be said to be "clipping"their clients, unless they play games once they arrive in one's apartment or hotel--for example, the lady doesn't provide the services explicitly agreed to (DFK, BBBJ) or she jumps abriuptly out of bed after one pop and starts getting dressed, or demands extra money for no reason.

A bar is not a clip joint unless actually misleading and cheating its customers (e. G. Watering down its drinks). In my long-ago hitch-hiking youth I encountered some truly classic clip joints, especially in North Africa--places where a bar girl, if invited to your table, would order a champagne cocktail (in Arabic), and, if you didn't ask the price up front, on getting your bill would be presented with a humongous charge ($50, even $ 75 in 1965 dollars) with a comparably priced menu to defend the charge.

I think I can agree with you on that. It is actually an overpriced tourist joint. In the middle of tons of places that average Colombians go to, but there are none in there that are not hookers and no local males. Something is definitely amiss. Same as some venues in Santo Domingo and Rio. Look around and if there are no locals inside then you may not be getting clipped per se, but you definitely are not getting standard prices.

Main problem is scheduling time with them. They commit time but don't show up and change in last minute. Another issue is they don't respond to your messages right away and have to wait hours for their reply.

So best bet is to contact and schedule time with at least 3 and pick one who shows up and cancel others as they do.
