They met and talked a long time. Guy felt sorry for her. She needed rent even though it is the middle of the month. She is living with her "brother" renting a room. I knew she is in the South living in like a level 3 apartment. She quoted him $330 for rent and he paid her. He even fought with me before hand, "I am going to give her something", he said when I recommended he pay her nothing. He paid a lot to go and see her and saw only her, and they did not even finish the deed.
We met after our trip, and he wanted to talk. When he told me about what he did, I groaned. He was saying that he might not see her again, and I told him, "Dude, she was probably not with her brother but her BF. " he was a little bummed and got quiet then. I tried to protect him from getting taken. I really did, but sometimes I knew, you just have to learn it on your own. As much as I tried, those doey eyed women and their damsel in distress ways were no match for me. I felt badly for him. I have been there.
Point is DC no matter how pure your intentions were (and mine were pure as can be), these chicas are going to screw over many Americans, and no matter what you say or do, you will be powerless to stop them. I just think that if you introduce Americans to Colombians, most will be itching to screw Americans over any way they can. I was his tour guide and I felt like I messed up. I just think you are going to be very disappointed when Americans get screwed over which is bound to happen.
The only way you can make this work is if you go over and over and over again with Americans to pay suggested prices. At least then when things go badly, you will not get the blame.

Thanks for the compliments, you're far too kind. Yeah, when we met up I think in January of this year, buying an apt / condo wasn't in my immediate future plans. I definitely pulled off a power move way sooner than I originally thought and I'm absolutely glad I did. Next time I get back to Medellin, and if you're around, drinks on me and if you're interested, I'll show you my apt and the many hot, big ass, nice tits, MILF neighbors living there jajaja. I don't mess with any of the females in my complex, I keep everything cordial as I want them to see me as a fellow chino paisa vecino and not as a manwho*re (mujeriego) haha. I always get caught staring at their cleavages / asses or maybe I want them to know I'm staring at them and I have no shame LOL.
It's never too late to improve your Spanish skills and enjoy more out of life no matter how old or young you are. Cheers!

If you're going to run a business in Colombia, you will need a visa which allows you to generate an income in Colombia. I'd recommend talking to at least a lawyer and an accountant.
You'll also need to deal with the red tape of registering your business in Colombia. Again, talk to a lawyer and an accountant.
If you're going to employ Colombians you'll be required to contribute to the national pension fund for each employee. Lawyer and accountant again.
Of course the downside is that there are already plenty of groups offering tours, groups which have been around for a long time, have lots of experienced guides and an established customer base.
Another downside is there are 2 distinct groups of gringos who visit Colombia. There are the mongers and then there's everyone else. Mongers, for the most part don't have a big interest in paying for tours. Between World Travel's map and mongers who are happy to show guys around, it's not much of a market.
For the non-mongers, the local market already offers plenty of options.
The thought has crossed my mind that you are considering pimping under the pretense of offering guide service. Don't get offended. I can think of 3 reasons why that's a bad idea.
1. There are already plenty of Colombians offering that service and they're unlikely to welcome any outside competition, especially if the competition is undercutting their rates.
2. Pimping is illegal in Colombia. The rewards aren't worth the risk.
3. Every girl will immediately bypass you and keep the extra money.
What I've found, and I've taken lots of mongers and shown them around, is most guys will happily buy a few beers or even a meal for the tours, but they're not ready to hand out enough cash to make it worthwhile as a business. Why should they? For 50 k they can go to the Mansion bar, make contact with mongers there who have years of experience in Medellin, and get the tour for the price of a taxi. Or there are plenty of guys who are more than happy to share knowledge with them.
A Colombian paying 300 k monthly for rent and utilities can make a go of it, but most gringos need a lot more just for Colombian expenses, without considering they probably have other financial obligations back home.

Posts: 4132 months here, don't want to leave. Advice 4 posting ads for business
Guys,
I promise a long a detailed report when I get back to the USA. I arrived when it was 117 in Las Vegas. Bogota, it was rain and 60. I luv it. Medellin a little warmer. I have met hundreds of girls. Fellow "mongers" tour guides and lots more. But later. I decided that since 500,000 gringos already visit Colombia (2019) I want to help them save $ and have more fun! So I am close to starting a tour business. I need to find more Bilingual girls for tour guides. I just started posting in some FB groups. Guys are making the usual stupid comments. If I knew a social media influencer here in Medellin. I think that would be ideal. Any other ideas from the board?
