Sabaneta, close to the Metro stations, Itagui and Sabaneta, is reasonably flat, otherwise it's got some vicious hills going up to the east.

By Metro you're only 10 minutes away from Poblado and under 20 minutes away from El Centro.

Much of Sabaneta is new development, lots of high rises. Two of the largest malls in South America are in the area. Mayorca Mega Plaza at the Itagui metro station and the new Viva plaza at the Envigado station.

I didn't explore too much while I was there, because of the hills and my schedule was full, but there should be opportunities to meet regular girls. I'm not aware of any mongering opportunities.

Thanks JjBee, perfect answer. I was hoping for more single family and all flat but it seems to be the new apartment place. That's ok and I'll check it out in February. If all that new development is going on, it must be very safe and smart money headed that way. Easy to get to is a big plus. Thanks again!

Speaking of pushy Lleras chicas, I had an incident with one a couple months ago as well.

A buddy and I decided to do a recon of Parque Lleras on a Friday night.

There were a fair amount of chicas walking about the park and the surrounding streets.

Some OK looking, some not so good and a few very nice ones.

Most of the girls were walking about in small groups of 2 or 3.

Anyway, a little hottie broke away from her pack and came and sat next to me on a little bench I was sitting on.

We were just chatting away a bit, flirting, negotiating in a fun way, etc.

After about 10 minutes another girl in her group of 3, who turns out to be the "leader" of her group, approaches us and demands to know if I'm going to go with her friend.

I tell her "tranquilo", we're talking, etc. She, the "leader" then demands 100 dollars from me for talking to her friend...

Interesting that a girl would threaten you with having a knife on her if you didn't pay up in Parque Lleras on a Friday night with all kinds of people around and the Police. An obvious stunt for sure as she has pulled this off before and gotten away with it or she wouldn't of tried it in the first place. I perhaps would of called her bluff in a different way, although it wouldn't of made any difference but perhaps would of frightened her from trying this stunt again, but I doubt it. Instead of telling her I had a knife as well, I would of said to her to get away immediately or I am going to start screaming at the top of my lungs (ayudame), and when the police come over, I will tell them that you said that you had a knife with you, and that if I didn't pay you $ 100 you were going to attack me. Amazing that this girl tried that stunt in Parque Lleras, but not surprising.

The difficult part is figuring out which one is going to be a winner and which one is going to be a big mistake.

There are plenty of girls who'll agree to whatever his plans are, but have no intention in anything more than a 1 hour cita. There are others who will agree to the terms and after the first hour want a much better deal. There are starfish and scam artists and every other imaginable problem type.

And there are girls who will travel with him and make him feel like a king every day. I'd put my own chances of picking a winner, picking from girls I haven't met yet, at under 50%. And many of these girls I've been following their social media for over 2 years.

If planning on 2 weeks of traveling around Colombia, I'd plan the first 3 or 4 days in Medellin. Start making contacts, figure out which seem like good prospects and take them for a test drive before committing to something longer. If you can't set up the deal, hit them up for contacts. If you're heading to Armenia or Manizales, ask if she has any friends who would like to meet you. Or if the girl you want isn't available to travel, get her to check with her local friends.

I came to Cali in November and loved it (see report). Now I'm considering Medellin, San Salvador or Quito for the January MLK trip. Should I go to Medellín or try San Salvador. Tom Jackin seems to travel lots anyone have any recommendations where I should go over the other.

What can anyone tell me about Sabaneta? Seems like a very mellow and more old time Colombia. I guess what matters most to me is: how close to Medellin and is there Metro connection, getting older so health care availability is important, still like to enjoy the chicas so any mongering or better yet possibilities to meet regular girls / women? My Spanish is good enough to get by. I'm sure plenty of accommodations but nice to know about Apts, don't need tons of action but don't want to get bored and lastly is it flat so easy walking?

I like Lauereles / Estadio and Belen next door but would like to try someplace new.

A problem with Uber Eats (and maybe all the delivery services) is the monetary limit of what you can order. I think it is 25 mil. I know it is not enough to order two hamburger combos.

Never ran into a limit with Domicilios. I know I had a few orders of 50 k and more.

Thank you for the report. I experienced a couple of pushy ones in Lleras, one was especially annoying. I had just spotted a beautiful one sitting alone and went to sit next to her to chat and negotiate, when one who I had already turned down. She was maybe a 6 or 7 at best. She starts harassing me, at first I am just saying "no puedo" and " No puedo, soy demasiado viejo"I telling her the half truth, she kept on so I tell her in my sad broken spanish very loudly in this crowded public place as you know Lleras is " I am in my fifties and I can only do so much in a day and I already had sex three times today, I can't do it again. " With just slight bit of irritation in my voice. She turned to walk away. As soon as she turned her back I turned to the chica I had went to sit next to and asked "Estas Trabajando?" (are you working) she nodded yes, I said "Vamonos". I think the chica that was harassing might have guessed that I was going for the hotter chica and tried to essentially cock block me.

I had posted a photo of the chica I ended up leaving with back in October and some members send me a PM for her contact info. Recently I tried to contact her and the number I had been communicating with her on whatsapp must not be working because those little checks in the messages show they have not even been delivered to her phone. She had also hesitantly sent me a friend request on FB, even though she does not use that for working and she was adamant that I show her that only mutual friends could see each other on my account. Now her FB account is not even active. Makes me wonder what happened.

She gets louder and aggressive and tells me to pay up.

I tell her to go away, leave me alone, and that I'm not an idiot.

She then tells me that she's got a knife in her purse.

I tell her that I've got one too (which I didn't), however, she was not even close to me, her knife was not visible, I had plenty of escape paths away from her, and lots of police were around.

I believe it was an idle threat, however, when I got verbally forceful as well she backed down, called me some vulgar names, ordered her friend to leave me, and they left.

I told the pretty and sweet one sitting with me that it was too bad that she chose such bad, loud, and aggressive friends like that.

She just kind of nodded at me.

My buddy and I walked about a little more, saw that particular group of girls walking around too.

We just avoided eachother.

I believe that aggressive one has probably gotten her way with some money from some less experienced foreigners in the past, and that's her gig.

She just gets aggressive, loud and threatens, but goes away if you call her bluff.

Most girls are cool and OK, but of course there are those other kind, like the one I ran into.

Fun Luvr gave you a good tip there, that is like the Who's Who of mongers on that profile. LOL If you get a membership and get private messaging, send me a message and I will seed you with some FB profiles also. One thing to keep in mind too is that if the do not respond right away to your friend requests, you can also add them on FB Messenger and try to communicate, this has worked for me a few times in the past. It probably has not worked more than it has but it is definitely worth a try.

Cliffs on the story:

- Gringo meets girl on tinder.

- Girl drugs and robs man.

- The following day the girl and her team breaks into all the rooms of the Airbnb and steals multiple items from multiple people.

- Guy does investigative work, gets police involved, he gets back his ID's & credit / debit cards but the perpetrators don't get arrested, the police gives him some crappy excuse and I can only assume they paid off the police.
