I stopped using the card years ago when I checked and discovered that I didn't get the number of trips that I paid for.

Years ago, I think they loaded number of trips on the card. That is when you had to deposit the card into the reader on the last trip. I did notice that sometimes two trips would be deducted when I only used it once. I think the readers were too sensitive and if you didn't move the card completely away from the reader, it would deduct another ride. Then they changed to loading monetary amounts, and the user kept the card, even if there was no money on it. As the prices went up, the card was not good for the number of trips as when loaded. Now, I load the card with 20 mil and use it as a debit card for rides. I still use the old ViajeMetro card.

Last month I handed my Civia card to the lady in the booth so she could add one ride to it. I slip the money under the slot and she was giving me a funny look. The Civica card was from last year, so I thought maybe I needed to buy a new one, then I realized I handed her my hotel key card, but the funny thing was she was scanning the card like she was checking for funds on the card.

I did that exact same thing I Bogota in May, at the Transmilenio booth. I only had my room key, my passport card and my Transmilenio card. It had us both confused.

60 or older are entitled to a senior citizen discount. You still have to present ID to get one of those. Excellent advice about loading the card for multiple trips. It still makes me shake my head how often people at the height of rush hour block the turnstiles while they fish for their civica then swipe it to find out they don't have enough to pay the fare.....

Amigas Sexxy has surprisingly nice rooms. They remodeled during the lockdown. Like any casa, it's hit or miss with staffing on a given day but they generally are one of the better options. A bonus for me is it is free of the American fraternity house atmosphere of New Life.

My first time to this Sexy Amigas casa and right now it's my favorite, my former Number One being New Life. A little bit tricky to find, but a nice 25 minute safe walk from The Nutti, head up on Oriental, and a little zig and a zag and then you are there.

Went with fellow ISG mongerer John Gault. He knows Medellin. Batting a thousand with guys who I have met from here, all stand-up guys so far. I have been mostly a "Bring the Mountain to Mohammed" kind of mongerer here in Medellin, with 98% of my sexual escapades occurring in my hotel room. But reading what the more experienced members here wrote about the various venues definitely piqued my curiosity. Basically, I need to get out more.

I dunno how many girls were in the line-up at Sexy Amigas, maybe a dozen. I always recommend bringing a pen and paper to a casa because you will not want to rely solely on your memory for the girls names and which ones you like..

The internet has made the world a small place and has opened up other ways for chicas to make money.

The impact of the World Wide Web or Internet or InterWeb or whatever you want to call it is just starting to be felt. People who look at the world in terms of how it was when they grew up before computers and the InterWeb are sadly left out of the equation. Most people still don't get it. The average poor Colombian is much more in touch and in tune with what is happening in the world right now than most modern people from places like the US of A. I saw a girl today wearing a T-shirt that said, "I have no money and I am happy". And by the look on her face, I could tell it was true.

If you just want the card that loads metro (including autobus) rides onto the card, you don't need a passport. One is green, one is gray, I can't remember which one is which. The one you get with your passport also allows you to use the bikes, maybe other perks. For example, you can use a Civica card to make purchases in Exito like a debit card. And I think you can get the basic card at places other than San Antonio, I want to say at any station? But I am not sure about that. I have a green card and a gray card in my possession now, both were given to me by chicas who live here. I can recharge both of them with cash at the machines in the metro stations, if they have the machines. Clear as mud?? Jajajajajaaa. Welcome to Colombia.

You can get a rechargeable card for the Metro at any station. If you don't have a Civica card, you will need to buy the card. It's not much. I'll usually add 20 k to my card whenever there isn't a line at the ticket booth.

There are several different types of Civica cards available. I believe you need a cedula to get one, a cedula de extranjero qualifies. Depending on the type of card you have you pay a different rate. For example, students get a reduced rate.

I agree, but even after the pandemic, I noticed Medellin was slipping. Hell, I heard more English than Spanish being spoken in Parque Lleras. Medellin is easy for Americans. You got the flights, the ex-pats, the weather. Thing is it is more dangerous than other parts of Colombia but it just does not feel like it.

Best looking women I saw in Colombia were in Barranquilla, and I prefer the weather there to Medellin. Yes, there is not as much cool stuff to do up front but I think if you network that town you could have a ball.

People think the Paisas are better looking but I think the Costenas are hotter and when it comes to the bedroom, it is not even close. The Costenas will fuck your dick into dust.

Cali is the best value. I do not care for the classic Latina big booty and Cali had them in abundance. Still I found two women with the slimmer more European asses and I felt like it was near virgin territory. Thing is Barranquilla IMO is more shiny and new and Cali is more old and run down. Still, either is better than Medellin and the smarter guys will run against the crowd..

My first pick was nullified by John because he was there to go after the same trio he had before, and I picked one of his girls, which probably makes sense. We both could tell she was hot. Well I'm stating what I've actually witnessed and before the centro girls couldn't hack it in places like Gustos.

But that's not my gripe. My gripe is that the quality of girls looks wise has deteriorated so badly.

Those types of girls are long gone. Lleras is no diff than centro rn only with jacked up prices.

If you're buying a Bentley I know it'll cost me a lot. But I don't expect to pay the same price at a Honda dealership as a Bentley.

Just to make sure people understand. The XE rate is like a stock market quote. You can't get that rate at this moment. But if the exchange rate closes at that level you will be able to get it a day or so later.

I think it is the mid market rate, roughly midpoint between buy and sell rates, So true, you will never get that rate at that time. You may get something close to the buy rate if you are buying pesos, minus whatever the bank doing the exchange charges as a commission. And yes, even with a Shwab card there is a commission.
