There were barely 1600 cases a day around Dec 15, it rose to 2500 a day around Dec 23 and in last two days has shot up to 4000 and now 6000, At this we can all forget about travelling to Medellin for next 3 months.

It is omicron, and it is not as serious. Because it is Covid, the initial reaction is to freak, but people really are not that sick with it. I expected the USA to hit a record as Christmas was a super spreader event and omicron hit at the same time, and we have. I expect Colombia to be at 60,000 cases (or double their previous high) soon as well.

But I do not expect Colombia to do anything. They should not. This thing is so contagious it is just foolish to try to contain the spread. All the USA sports teams had all these strict protocols and they did nothing to prevent the spread.

Your asking a question of which I don't think anybody knows the answer to. When the Delta variant appeared months ago there was speculation it would run rampant thru Colombia, but never did, and there are some theories as to why.

As far as forgetting travel for 3 months to Medellin, only time will tell. I think will know more in the next few weeks what will happen here. If ICU's are estimated to become over-flowed, I can see some type of controls being put in place like in the past, but they will be very unpopular.

Medellin has basically been wide open for several months now and a return to curfews and lockdowns will not bode well.

I hope Colombia is spared of the new variant, but only time will tell.

I have read all about the different options and experiences on this forum. But I haven't seen anything on if the experience is any different for younger men. I will be going at the beginning of February and will be 21 years old. Does anyone know if the experience is any different if you are a younger man? Also I would say I am generally pretty attractive. So would there be any difference in how things go as a younger attractive man? Or is it the same as these women see it solely as a job? Also since I am younger do you think I would be at any more risk than a middle aged man on being robbed? Any insight on these questions would be great!

Your probably the youngest monger I've ever seen on the Medellin thread, hence the information your looking for doesn't exist.

So the question is, is it any different for a younger man versus an older man? It partially will depend on how you monger in Medellin. I think in the casa's you might be a welcome sight, in other words instead of a casa girl having to fuck a fat and overweight 60 something, they get something their age and probably younger.

As far as Fayboo, I have no idea how that might go. As far as LLeras and Centro you will most definitely be an oddity in the sense, that most mongers will be twice your age and more. But this could work in your favor.

Most women here like older guys, not as perky I suppose, kinder and gentler, and pay better. However at the end of the day, it's a job for them which you cannot lose sight of.

I realize most users are going to think this post somewhat useless but I remember years ago that it took some time for me to learn about the entire resources of the ISG forum and it breakdown of parts so here is a quick lesson for the unititiated who like me are not intuitive users of these forums. The forum is broken down into subsections. If you look at the upper most whit part of this page to the left you will see the tree that leads one to this thread, it looks somehting llike this but I had to use the symblos available to me to substitute: 🏠 Forum ➡South America➡ Colombia ➡ Medellin Reports. I can click on any of those to go back to broader sections of the forum. If I click on "Colombia" it takes me back out to the list of threads for Colombia. The tree now looks like this: 🏠 Forum➡ South America ➡ Colombia. Here if you scroll the length of it you will see that it is divided into two sections; "Thread Title" and "User Blog". Medellin Reports being under thread title, if you scroll down in this section (each thread is listed according to the latest post so the position in the list can change) you will see "Links to Reports of Distinction", If you scroll down below and get into the "User Blog" section then you will find some very useful stuff. For example there are threads here dedicated to "Medellin Lists" and "Medellin Maps and Lists" and therer are theads dedicated to postings concerning hotels and apartments among the other helpful things here.

Good questions. Certainly the dangers to a young guy are no greater. Probably less in fact. The average young guy would no doubt look like a more risky target than the average old guy. Usually fitter, stronger, faster.

As for the other question. I also started quite young. Thinking back to those days, I think the main difference lies in your level of experience. That does make a difference. How you handle it is the big question. Everyone has a starting point and will no doubt make some mistakes. That starting point could be when you are young or when your old. But I think it is the same starting point.

Haha, well just goes to show what a success the new vax card regulation is. What a success! All we can hope is that Omicron finally snaps a few conservatives out of their dissonance and people start to realise what a load of BS this all really is. Cases mean nothing man. Watch the death rate. It is still rock steady. That is bcos there is no need to be worried. All this fearmongering is driving everyone crazy and tanking the world in general. Enough!
