What's the deal with the phones?

Is it easy to bypass iCloud lock in Colombia? It is damn near impossible to unlock here in the states unless you take it to apple.

Most phone repair shops won't bother with that but if you're lucky maybe $20-$60 depending on the phone to sell for parts. I'm guessing they just re sell for parts?

I'm usually based in MDE as well and have been to all the places you mentioned, including Bucaramanga and Cucuta. IMHO, go to Bucaramanga: do not pass go, do not collect 200 mil pesos. Good luck! If you're brave enough and it's within your budget, rent a car and do some touring. You could easily compare Pereira, Armenia and Manizales. Or start from Bogota and hit Tunja, Bucaramanga and Cucuta.

Driving in Colombia is a challenge and can be stressful, but you get to see more that way.

This girl I am pretty sure works in centro in front of Botero Hotel, she is a very big girl correct? Her friend stole one of my friends cell phones and attempted to steal another friends cell phone 3 days after I warned him about her, about half the Medellin police force showed up LOL. It is with great resentment and sadness that I am about to post what I am going to post but I feel as though the information needs to be out there to help fellow mongers in medellin to avoid what happened to me.

So anyways I just recently got back to medellin after having been gone for 2 months working in the US. I had been messaging this lesbian marimacha chick that I met on a previous trip back in May while I was on my way here. It turns out she was also pregnant and I kinda have a fetish for pregnant women LOL.

Anyways so as soon as I arrived I grabbed the bus from the airport (which is now 14 mil by the way) and headed to terminal del norte. I had Yei (the pregnant lesbian chick) meet me there, and since I had my suitcase and backpack and all my belongings with me I told her I wanted to go to my apartment in santo domingo (I know big mistake, especially with a chick I've only seen one time prior). Anyways we make it back to my place, everything is in order just how I left it in November. She says she wanted a beer an guila light, I tell her she shouldn't be drinking since she is 8 months pregnant but I guess one light beer wouldn't hurt. I then go to the local tienda in my barrio and buy 2 Aguila lights and come back. I open them both and take a swig of mine and then hop in the shower since I was all sweaty and hadn't showered since I left California. When I get out of the shower yei is in my room mopping up something on the floor and I'm like what happened and she's like oh I accidentally spilled the beers. And I'm like ok whatever. So then I go to grab my beer and low and behold the beer is more full than it had been after my first swig before I got in the shower. Upon further inspection I also noticed that it had alot more foam than it did before my shower and it had some kind of white powder on the neck of the bottle. So I questioned her about it but she denied putting anything in my beer, I however didn't believe her and I went and dumped it out..

It is a double edged sword. The more we praise Colombia, the more men come to Colombia, and then it changes and we all complain about it. Ha ha ha. I am relatively new to Colombia myself so I have no right to complain about more guys coming to Colombia.

I have always enjoyed visiting Thailand and the Philippines for mongering but since covid, I have not been back. I have been searching for closer destinations to America. First I went to Costa Rica and then Mexico and now I visited Medellin, Colombia for my past two trips. From the East Coast, Medellin is about 5 1/2 hours or 3 1/2 from Florida so it fits my criteria for a country that is closer to America. From the West Coast, Mexico is closer and if I lived in Texas or California, I would prefer Guadalajara, Mexico due to the flight times and cost but from the East Coast, Medellin is the best bet for best close-by mongering country in my humble opinion. Thailand and the Philippines still have a special place in my heart and I will be back soon when I am ready to take a longer trip.

For those who want to save money, the casas and the streetwalkers in El Centro are a good value. I prefer the girls on Facebook and from the first trip to the second trip, I have been learning a lot and I expect good things on FB for my third trip. Solid GFE sessions with young attractive girls in my hotel room is what I have getting and the price range generally has been 200 to 300 mil for sessions that are 90 minutes to 2 hours. In my own negotiations with FB girls, I start out with 200 mil and some accept but there are number of girls who say no and we end up with 250 to 300 mil plus taxi.

There is a large number of young attractive girls on FB willing to have sex for money with gringos for the right price and my biggest problem is not enough time or energy to see all the girls I would like to see.

On this website, there has been this debate about older mongers versus younger mongers. I am an older monger in my late 50's. As with all older mongers, I used to be a younger monger in my 20's and 30's so I understand the mindset of younger mongers. When I was younger, I also thought that girls prefer to be with younger better looking guys than those old out of shape guys in their 50's or 60's and so they were having more fun with me rather than those perverts who are old enough to be their grandfathers. Now that I am one of those perverts, I can see that young attractive girls can also appreciate older gringos who will treat them nice and will pay them the gringo going rate and the girls make the effort to try to make you happy. There are enough girls for everyone and we can all enjoy the girls of Medellin. And there are more than enough attractive girls who are willing to have sex with men old enough to be their grandfathers so it is not a problem for older mongers.

I will be back in Medellin in a few weeks and will post some comments about my trip. Once again, it will be an all FB trip.

First Colombia allows prices to rise. The taxi from the airport went from 90 K to 98 K. Once on the ground most everything also seemed to cost more. So far no rain in the 3 days I have been here. Well at least there is some good news. At the airport a guy tried to charge me 160 K and then at the dentist the guy quoted me 250 K to do some work. I showed him my total cash was 178 K and he told mr ok. Man they are hurting here and the urge to rip off is strong here.

Even the Hotel Nutribar in El centro has been stuck around $52 a night even if booking it around March time frame. I paid $22 a night back November. I'll probably just go the Airbnb route, which is cheaper, but it probably won't be located in El centro.

Damn right!! I'm in Medellin and actually regret not staying longer. You got to put more work in to get what you want, but the option are endless.

1 year ago exchange rate was around 3800. Last time it was 2800 was summer of 2018. I'm guessing he screwed up punching 3800 into the calculator and didn't realize it.

Taxi from the airport 1 year ago was 90 k. It hasn't been 70 k since 2017.

Taxi rates from the airport are set by the government and go up every year. The same is true for the metered yellow taxis and the airport buses.

If you go upstairs to the departures level you might be able to strike a deal with a yellow taxi dropping someone off.

Walk-ins are all I've done but you may want to book ahead depending on the amenities you want or are looking for in a room. It's really convenient and they don't even check cedula (during my visits).
