Ignoring what might be considered is an "unattractive gringo and "creepy", there are lots of gringos that live in nicer neighborhoods, such as in Poblado and Laureles who do their "thing" in Centro.

So perhaps this is a paradox.

You can look for Airbnb's with private entrance, keylock / code entrance (you never meet anyone). Those basically don't care, since they are not monitoring. Some more affordable places in Manila (down the hill from Laureles); yet still in the middle of everything.

One of the drawbacks to Abnb's without any security, of course, is that you are open to being drugged and robbed. There will be no one checking the girls and watching them when they leave. I stayed at such a place and I felt there is also the possibility that someone can watch you enter your lock code and rob you when you are not home. The girl you are bringing to the place will be right next to you when you enter the code, and you have to be careful that she does not see the code.

I briefly met a young guy with mental problem and a loud redneck guy who stayed at Premier Plaza last year. I heard that the hotel is noisy and sometimes guests' money are stolen. I saw some gringos in the area. All were unattractive guys and some look creepy. They all sounded like highs chool graduates or dropout, and no college graduate. They stood out and the locals hated them. The area looks safe but I know tons of gringos and Colombians who were robbed there.

E, I went there 2 nights -Monday, very slow and on Friday and it was packed, I was charged 50 K. At first, I thought I was being scammed but on the second visit I noticed the sign on the door which in fact said 50 K. They must be changing the price on a whim. Now another member posted he paid 40 K pesos. If we don't take control of these prices, before long La ISL will be charging 100-150 K entrance fee.

Here's an idea -gather up a few mongers (at least 5) go there and if they try to charge 50-80 K pesos, ask to be let in for 30 or 40 K if not go to Fase 2.
No need to make a scene or raise your voice in fact be real cool and if they refuse, simply let them know that you will be going elsewhere with your dollars.

Because the doormen at strip clubs determine pricing and policy.

If you don't want to spend money at a strip club, instead of wasting time and money going to strip clubs where you'll need to spend money, go somewhere else.

That was an example of sarcasm. It's harder to find a hotel in El Centro that isn't guest friendly than it is to find one that is.

Calle Real and Premier Plaza and various others up in prado area a cpl blocks up the street from hotel nutibara (if you have the cajones to stay in that area LOL).

You won't find much on guest friendly airbnbs. An individual airbnb may allow a guest one day and then change their house rules and not allow it. You can look at Airbnb listings, see what the listing says under the "rules" section, and sometimes under the safety and security section, and guest comments. And you can usually know which ones do NOT allow guests. But to be sure you will need to check with the host before booking. However sometimes you will see listings on Airbnb for some of the more common spots such as San Peter in Laureles, Energy Living, or places that P o be l a the o Rentals have, and these are or have been guest friendly. They show up under hotel searches, booking.com searches, Airbnb, etc.

Most Abnb's that do not allow guests are explicit about it on their listing under the Rules section. If it is a bit vague, I always sent a message to the host asking about their guest policy and they will tell you. I always recommend that you confirm the guest policy on an Airbnb before booking. The hosts usually get back to you quickly. There are many great Abnb's that I would love to stay in except for their guest policy. If you want to bring girls back to your place, it does eliminate a good number of wonderful places to stay.

San Peter is the old standby and you can't go wrong there. The only complaint I have is noise issues with that nightclub next door.
