Don't get me wrong, Brazil is a wonderful country, certainly more developed than Colombia, it just didn't tick my boxes anymore (it did some 20 years ago when L'Umo and Help were still open).

IMO, So Paulo, Brazil is hands down the best for upscale monger clubs.

Bogota in Colombia has upscale clubs as well, however, So Paulo really rocks on the that.
There are a couple semi-upscale clubs in Medellin, but not near the level of SP.
Definitely some hot chicas, just not the amount as in SP, and the clubs in SP are bigger and more elegant.
I could go on and on, however, in short; IMO, nothing in Colombia compares to SP as far as upscale clubs go.

I was on biz trip to SP Brazil 3-4 years ago, stayed in the hotel with round windows and brought girls from the upscale clubs for dinner / drinks on my company dime which helped reduce the overnight allowance I gave them.

While I love your comparison and agree that SP has a large number of high end upscale clubs, I struggled to find student-type, innocent looking, unspoilt girls in the age group that I prefer (18-22). Reminded me of Mayfair in London. Love story is the only place I could find that is where I could find them, and that's seedy and far from upscale. The designated upscale Hi-end clubs in SP most girls were in the 25-35 group in those clubs, and I went to all of them. It's a personal preference, but I don't like girls who've been around the block so to speak, even if they are Gucci-clad.

That's why I prefer seedier Medellin (and where I can avoid places like Gusto filled with fake boobs).

The following are my concerns regarding carrying cell phones around Medellin.

I have two cell phones. One is my USA cell phone, an "I" phone, with Verizon service in the USA. It's my lifeline with my kids, business, and other matters in the USA. If I lose it or it gets stolen, there is no way I can get my number replaced in Colombia. That is what Verizon has told me. Hence it doesn't leave my apartment unless I am going somewhere very specific, etc. And I am grateful that when I got held up by gunpoint with my Chica about a month ago that they didn't go thru my pockets. All of my WhatsApp contacts are on this phone, everything. To further illustrate, when I use my ATM / Credit cards here I sometimes get text messages to confirm transactions. And all kinds of other types of text messages. So without my cell phone I can get blocked out of pulling money out of ATM's and then have to make a whole bunch of time consuming phone calls..

If you have att as your service provider, then just bring an extra iPhone and an extra att SIM card. Make sure you have a way to check your email (needed for two factor authentication) and make a phone call to att without your phone. I typically have an iPad and a MacBook hidden somewhere, I use Skype to call att. Att can activate your SIM card on your backup iPhone, iCloud will restore all your contents and settings. You will be up and running with your US phone in matter of minutes, like you never lost it.

Rio I love for the beautiful negras and mulatas, and the sexy attitude and vibe of the Cariocas (Rio girls), and I'm referring to the ones I find and meet outside the tourist zone.

There are lite skin girls in Rio as well, however, I personally dig the sexy chocolate.

In terms of girls' service and quality, Brazil is hands down better (on average). Rio is my favorite city, it is prettier than Medellin; especially if you are staying in Ipanema or Copacabana. In my opinion, Portuguese is a much sexier language than Spanish. Medellin is cheaper, paisas are very hot, and you get more of a local community vibe.

Quick question regarding the casas: in your experience when was the best time to go? I always try to avoid the lunch break and post-work rush (as well as Saturdays) but was wondering whether there's a specific golden time period. In my experience most casas don't open until 10.30 am and even then the line-up isn't always the best. I seem to understand you love your afternoon naps (then again who doesn't LOL) so I guess you're mostly a morning guy?

I found the casas opened usually at 10 am, I would go like clockwork around 1040-11 am. I would usually be the first or second or third guy there, most casas don't get busy until the lunch break. Not to mention, the only casa gringo tourists now are usually new life and akimi, which were always busy. Dulce compania, casa sexy amigas, Barcelona, Natalia, zandlay, Paris (only one I didn't like) all had 7+ girls at 1030 am. Most fuckable. I liked this time because the girls hadn't been fucked yet, especially the ones who aren't the hottest, so they enjoyed the sex alot more imo. (clit rubbing, naturally wet). I also went around 4 pm, before the local got off work. IF there were people in the lobby, I would just walk to one of the other 5-6 casas in the 4 block radius.

Sounds like our trips have been very similar with the exception that you cut out all the fb BS I went through and replaced them with nice casa experiences.
