Given the current safety issues and the fact that my Spanish is limited, I've come up with a general plan for my first trip to Medellin and wondering what you experienced guys think of it (whether it's an itinerary that I would be happy with). I would stay for only 4-5 nights since it would be an extension of a scuba diving trip in the Caribbean. To make the accommodations as hassle free as possible, I would opt to pay a bit of a premium to stay at the Hotel M (formerly known as the Mansion) where it is already set up for monger tourists. I could pull girls from the same location during the daytime and nighttime knowing that they are already pre-screened, ie. , low risk of drugging or robbing me plus a known price range. I understand that their staff can also arrange for airport transits and drives to other tourist sites at a reasonable cost if I should utilize them.

During the daytime, I might visit New Life and Loutron. Then at night I would just stay at the Hotel M bar except for one night I might visit La Isla just to say I've been there whether I pull from there or not. In all of these external venues, I would just use their rooms.

I might stroll through Parque Ileras again just to say I've been there but not really pull any girl from there since that becomes more risky business especially for a first timer visitor like me. I would think that with the combination of Hotel M and the above mentioned external venues, I would have more than plenty in terms of girl action for my short trip.

So what do you guys think? Would this be enough for a first trip sampler of Medellin? Or would I be really missing out on something else that I did not consider including?

Soooo, legally you can only stay in Colombia for up to 180 days from your date of arrival as a tourist, (not 6 months). Your first initial stamp is 90 days, then you can renew / extend for another 90 if approved. After which you must wait another 180 days before you return. New year has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with your dates.

If you are outside Colombia, the days in-country reset on January 1. If you are in Colombia, they do not reset until you leave after January 1. There is no 180 days wait time unless you enter January 6th or 7th and stay 180 days consecutively. I've been in Colombia more than 170 days, but less than 180, each of the last two years. I left near the end of December each year and returned in January and got a 90 days stamp. Near the end of the year, most of the immigration officers only give me the number of days I have under 180 for that year. So, yes, a new year has everything to do with your dates for a tourist visa unless you are already in Colombia at the beginning of a year.

I've mostly been looking in the Lleras Park area for lodging but I'm open to other areas. In terms of what I'm looking for in lodging is the ability to pickup street girls and bring them back to my place (well versed in security and situational awareness of staying safe). Well, maybe it used to be that way at some point since I'm not that old, but this is not what's in the Col official sites, this is not what the immigration offer told me, this is not what the stamp reflects in my passport, nor the extended 3 months renewal I did in Dec that expires in March.

In about 5 months in Mde I've heard at least 25 different versions from lost and out of touch gringos (not you.) but this shit gets funny af. Once while I sat with a buddy in a cafe discussing this, an old Canadian lady in her 70's was nearby walking her dog and overheard us and came and joined the convo. She joked as to why so many are spreading wrong info, about the tourist visa and the digital nomad visa, when the fucking info is right on the darn official website? Like Mfrs can't read. We had a good laugh at that. She's been living in Mde for yrs.

Currently I can get a biz visa, digital nomad visa (can be approved for 6 mo to 2 yrs), etc. I just don't want to, I prefer to travel for a while to other countries after I finish my 180 days.

I think you are the one who cannot read LOL. Here I found you the information that pertains to this. It specifically states you cannot stay more than 180 days in a "Calender year" but once the year has changed to a new year you can leave Colombia for a day and then return and the clock resets. Nowhere does it say that you have to stay out of Colombia for 180 days again before you return, that would only hold true if you had stayed from Jan thru Jul then you wouldn't be able to come back again until the next January. But if you came in July you could stay a max of 180 days then leave and come back Jan 1st of the next calendar year and get a new 90 days (extendable to 180 days with a prorrogar).

I suspect the 70 year old lady didn't know what she was talking about you mentioned that she had lived here for years so obviously she is on a visa and not using the 180 days.

Also the immigration officers speak Spanish and you speak English. Whether they told you what they told you in broken English or you tried asking in broken Spanish obviously something got lost in translation and you didn't understand what he said or he didn't know how to explain to you in English what he was trying to tell you.

As you can see it is clearly written here in this screen shot in the second paragraph. Also we have real life accounts of how this worked as I mentioned in my previous post from. Osteoknot who came at the tail end of 2021, maxed out his 180 then went to Panama for a day and came back in January of 2022 and was given a new 90 days without having to wait 180 days to come back again.

When I used Avianca to fly into Medellin I think they have a different process than the American or foreign airlines. That was the only benefit of flying Avianca I did not have to worry about Check Mig.

I just did my MIG as COPA required. It's on the list of required documents or something like that. Went fairly smoothly after I used their drop-downs instead of typing in the answer. I only fly COPA and always need the MIG.

Not exactly the game per-se just some common sense and situational awareness of how these businesses operate, understanding they need to extract some money first and that the girl have no obligation to fuck, this isn't a casa. She gets a commission for the drinks, plus a daily salary for manning the bar. Doesn't meant she won't want to fuck eventually or later when she's not observed and in a different environment. Admittedly some of these bars are more like lonely-hearts clubs but it is no accident there are many ST hotels next door to these establishments and that the take out fee exists. For point and shoot quick-let's-fuck-now there are other places.

I know of some SWs that worked these bars, couple of them quit because they actually didn't like drinking so much, or so they say. But they did fuck the customers that's for sure. One got kicked out because she didn't show up on time and regularly LOL (nothing like being true SW freelancer, no obligations, no boss, sleep however long you want, show up whenever, go home whenever).

It works the same way as those bars in Pattaya Thailand, you can't just take their number from the front of the bar in the street and ask them to go with you, that's always against the rules even though they are independent. Few of my buddies tried that and didn't work, sometimes they won't even give you their number. That entire setting is for you to go inside, sit, drink, and then pay the bar take out fee and negotiate your price with the girl and you can take her to your hotel. Thailand is the main spot where that's common. But trust me every female working in that area will fuck. Even P4 P requires some game.

I do not know why your buddies are having problems. I have lived in Pattaya for 15 years and that is how I have always done it. I get the girl's contact and come back to pick her up when the bar closes. P4P requires no game the same as buying a hamburger in McDonald's requires no game. It is a business transaction. That is why it is galled PAY for play and not game for play. Money talks and so-called game walks. Save your game for chicks that do not require payment.

I used to date a Mexican chick in my city. She told me about some of the Mexican clubs in my city that were the exact same as 53. Guys would go there and pay chicks $5 to dance with them. It may sound weird, but there are all kinds and there is something for everyone.
