In the spirit of being a good forum member I am going to put myself out there and confess I spend time with one of the girls I see regularly talking about the books we recommend to each other. Now that I've had some time to sleep on it, what I should have done was said I didn't have the money on me and that we needed to go to the ATM. Then once we were outside the building I could have started briskly walking in any direction until I gained enough distance that I could run and ditch her.

Man you keep forgetting that these are HOOKERS! The police ain't got time for that bullshit. If they were to run out everytime a hooker called about a trick, they would need a new division just to cover those calls. Police in countries like Colombia are there for big stuff, not little stuff. Somebody snatched your phone, necklace? Just chalk it up as a loss. Somebody stabbed you? Call the police!

You did the right thing by paying her the 100 K to leave. Physically removing a Chica, or throwing her clothes out as others have suggested, will not improve the situation.

Granted, most guys myself included don't like getting cheated, but it's par for the course. I've had my share of altercations as well, but never with someone I had seen before.

What's unfortunate is that you had a previous track record with this Chica. My bet is her rent was probably due the day you saw her, which would explain her early arrival and urgency.

Perhaps a "Face Book No Fly List" should be developed, and Chicas who cause problems put on the list so they are grounded.

Quick report about my Saturday night visit to Fase 2. Having lived in Medellin a while this was only my second visit but I was very please about the quality of girls working that night. Entry was 10 k and a large bottle of Medellin rum (not my favourite but it was the cheapest) was 210 k with four small bottles of Coke. I would guess about 30 or so girls were working and about five or six were really hot. Girls dance on the catwalk pretty much the whole night and come and ask for 2 k after their show so be prepared to spend about 50 k handing out "propinas" or telling the girls to move on. You can hang out and drink with girls if you have a bottle so it's a fun place to have a good time with your mates if that's what you enjoy, I've been to a few strip bars and the quality last Friday was decent so I was very happy. It's 210 k for 45 minutes in the room although this was only the second time I've been and I was very drunk so just chilled and drank with a few girls instead. Didn't even cross my mind that she might report me for assault considering the alternative of leaving her in my apartment and waiting to see who showed up. And unless she had sustained some kind of injury she wouldn't have had a leg to stand on anyway.

Police here don't do anything if someone accuses you of assault. Unless you are still there when the polcie arrive, then I'm sure they would have hit me up for money. If she wanted to file a police report she would have had to spend a day. And mean an entire day. At the Fiscalia to do so. And, they usually won't issue an arrest warrant unless you bring a witness or have some other proof a crime was committed.
