The ones that follow my social media posts will notice that I am always roasting up the people that go to Medellin because it seems that my former compatriots have done an amazing job of raising their profile as well as getting themselves killed, robbed or drugged in the process, I believe because of due lack of diligence and stupidity but that is my opinion, however after seeing videos like this I can see why some men will risk it all, especially considering the state of the dating market in the west. I have been talking about the bar scene in that area for quite some time. I have never taken one from the bar as I just like to dance with these girls. A drink for them or you is 6 K. I have been in most of them and Bar Madrid is the best one.

Bro shit was unreal, seeing 5 - 10 girls sitting alone in each spot, bored, and 3 dudes in front begging you to go in LOL, so many walking and chasing the rats don't know about these. Obviously when they sit you can't fully see what the body looks like. But the patrons called a couple to greet us in the street, and we chatted with few first before going in and I was sold.

Someone already replied with Bar Madrid which is one of them. Also not in Gmap. It's carrera 53, intersects with calle 53 so don't get them confused. There's also Bar El Country, and al huge billiard place calld Billares why Cartas, and Taberna El Tiburon (on Gmap). Not saying that's where the girls are just reference points. When I travel I sometimes take notes of places I can recall and use those for uber and taxis, also everyone knows everywhere near that area if you ask. Beware that this area isn't too fancy and not for everyone, don't get intimidated by street homeless people, nothing happens if you mind your business and stick near the bars, lots of taxis and can take uber easily.

I'll try to address as many of your questions as possible. Some I can't help much with because I'm no longer searching for new girls in Medellin.

There are pluses and minuses to using Facebook. A big plus is you can fairly quickly find hundreds of potential dates. A big downside is, unless you use a separate device, which has no connections to any of your other accounts, or phone number, the people on your main Facebook account will eventually get some bleed over from your mongering account. I've had a few friends and family members complain about getting friend requests from Colombian girls. Your risk of being drugged at a bar or restaurant, when you are alone is very low. I've never hesitated to drink whatever I wanted while out alone. However, when you are with someone, there's always a chance they will slip something in your drink, if you leave it unattended, or are distracted. One strategy is to minimize your drinking, drink slowly, small sips and to always keep your drink within sight and out of easy reach for anyone else. Avoid drinking to excess. If a girl is pushing you to drink that's a red flag. If, while you are setting up the date, the girl mentions drinking, another red flag. You're paying the girl to fuck, not to drink your booze..

Too late, Medellin is already completely overrun with gringos.

Except it is very easy to live there and hardly ever see another gringo. It is overrun if you only go to the 5 percent of the city where there are gringos. And even there there are lots of times you may be the only one.

I think this idea that gringos have all this influence and are causing all these changes is simply exaggerated.

Why keep thieves in business by buying their goods? Your phone or whatever could be up for sale soon too. Just buy a cheap one from a real store or buy second hand in USA. You can get a decent older used iPhone that does all you need for $100 online at home if you are in USA.

If the original poster is concerned about being scoped and / or robbed by a Facebook girl, I would in fact recommend my method of having the Facebook girl meet him at parque berrio metro station and then take her to hotel botero real.

That way he can leave his personal belongings back at his main hotel or Airbnb and only bring his burner phone and enough cash to pay the Chica and the pieza and there is nothing extra that can be stolen from him as all his other stuff is back safe at the other place.

John Gault mentioned Bar Madrid. You can just google that or google Bar Monaco if Bar Madrid does not come up. It is on the opposite side of the street toward Botero Plaza. It's a very local place so not ideal for someone that does not know the area.

I don't think what's being reported is universally true. That price does not make sense in general for the type of customers that visit the area. Besides, Mr E reported before, the girls that he talked to do not go with customer to have sex so it will depend on the girl. I am not saying the report is inaccurate but I won't generalize it. My last visit was NYE after midnight and my data expired so I had to call a taxi which was difficult there at that hour and I made a report on that

Overrun is a strong word unless we don't consider areas other than Poblado, Laureles, north Sabaneta, Envigado, and New Life. When I am in those parts of town the difference from the rest of the city (which is almost all of the city) is very jarring.
