As far as tourist are concerned, how would you even know if some were victims in the past or not? I think if I were a victim of a stabbing or mugging in Colombia I would not want my name reported where friends, families and my job would know about it and question what I was doing there in the first place?

You can ask TTM the same questions. Those happen to be my questions as well. You are direct so you phrase them more clearly.

I am not questioning the numbers. I think the context for discussion, like the location or area, needs to be clarified.

I don't have any disrespect for TTM. It is clear to me that he has been inside many places more times than I have been outside of those places.

To answer your question directly. I don't know a number. The numbers I have is that I eat dinner on a plastic stool often without table on the street around El Centro about 4 times a week, lunch about 3 times a week, coffee at least 2 cups / day. The only time I get into a car is to go to a club in other places.

There is a web site called Medellin Guru. It complied many statistics. You will see that El Centro and El Poblado are next to each other frequently.

One article says the highest counts of foreigner homicides were El Poblado, Laureles-Estadio.

The above is misleading on purpose, i hope you know the purpose. Here is the full text.

You say that as if you would have a choice in the matter. Victims do not just call the media and say come report on me because I have just been a victim (unless they are seeking compensation.)

The girls I have spoken to have openly told me to be aware of my surroundings at all times as they watch out for each other. One told me that on occasion she has warned mongers they know that they are being watched and they need to move from where they are.

Not saying that El Centro should not be visited, but when I go there my spider sense is constantly tingling.

I always wonder why I am not worried when I am in Centro and Parque Botero? Is America really that rough to minorities and people of color that when I am in centro, it seems like every day normal activity to me. I was with Nounce most day and I always asked him why were people on the board always saying, Don't take your phone out in Centro, duck into a store if you have to use your phone. But the Vennies and other Colombians were constantly using their phones in Centro. I told Nounce, I just don't think about it and I am not worried, if I catch anyone grabbing for my phone and they do not successfully grab my phone, it would be a site for others in the park to see. One of the reasons that Nounce and I know so much about stabbing victims, we witnessed one and we actually went to the hospital In clinica Prado to visit her. I knew the victim, I had sessioned with the victim and I really grew an attachment to the victim. I actually went on line and bought the victim and her sister a bus ticket from Medellin to Baranquilla through Redbus. So yes, I was in the park every day for 30 days with 2 very expensive phones and I always stayed in contact with family in the US and girls who were constantly calling asking for dates and I was not robbed or stabbed or a victim of any deficiencies. I must add that that every day, I took about 10 pregnant Vennies to breakfast and I always bought Liters of water and Sodas for the girls to drink, Why? Because I saw Vennies out there for 7 and 8 hours without any water, liquids or food, if I see that you are trying, I can only salute that effort and somewhat offer some assistance. I enjoyed my stay in Medellin and I will share many more stories that I did not get to share while in Medellin because my Wifi was not stable at Ayenda Hotel Botero. I already miss the beautiful city of Medellin and America seems so far away and different from the hustle and Flow of Medellin. Pollo Negro is out!

That is not the number I am aware of, at least not around Plaza Botero. I also don't hear this number from people of chicks that are here every day and night. If I am not here, I won't even attempt to reply to your post as I am certain you are far more experienced and knowledgeable.

I am not claiming it is safe and that everybody should come. I just try to provide some facts that I know first hand based on my own experience, not something I heard, and I agree with Mr E.

No, they are not. There are putas, but should I remind they are a small minority of the overall population? Funny thing about working girls. There are plenty of them who are lesbian. They're not going with customers just because they're attracted to them.
