My Vennie GF had her cell stolen last week, at knife point, daytime, in Plaza Botero.

We witnessed a cell robbery 2 days ago while sitting on a bench in Botero.

There were police all around as well, the victim screamed loud, the police, about 6 of them, gave chase, not sure if they caught the crook.

About every Colombiana I know has had at least one cell stolen.

It's good that you don't worry, stress is a killer, LOL.

Phone is the number one stolen item and El Centro is number one on the list according to Medellin Guru. Yet so many tourists took their phones out to take pictures in Plaza Botero. Everywhere I look people have their phones out. Go figure.

I always wonder why I am not worried when I am in Centro and Parque Botero? Is America really that rough to minorities and people of color that when I am in centro, it seems like every day normal activity to me. I was with Nounce most day and I always asked him why were people on the board always saying, Don't take your phone out in Centro, duck into a store if you have to use your phone. But the Vennies and other Colombians were constantly using their phones in Centro. I told Nounce, I just don't think about it and I am not worried, if I catch anyone grabbing for my phone and they do not successfully grab my phone, it would be a site for others in the park to see. One of the reasons that Nounce and I know so much about stabbing victims, we witnessed one and we actually went to the hospital In clinica Prado to visit her. I knew the victim, I had sessioned with the victim and I really grew an attachment to the victim. I actually went on line and bought the victim and her sister a bus ticket from Medellin to Baranquilla through Redbus. So yes, I was in the park every day for 30 days with 2 very expensive phones and I always stayed in contact with family in the US and girls who were constantly calling asking for dates and I was not robbed or stabbed or a victim of any deficiencies. I must add that that every day, I took about 10 pregnant Vennies to breakfast and I always bought Liters of water and Sodas for the girls to drink, Why? Because I saw Vennies out there for 7 and 8 hours without any water, liquids or food, if I see that you are trying, I can only salute that effort and somewhat offer some assistance. I enjoyed my stay in Medellin and I will share many more stories that I did not get to share while in Medellin because my Wifi was not stable at Ayenda Hotel Botero. I already miss the beautiful city of Medellin and America seems so far away and different from the hustle and Flow of Medellin. Pollo Negro is out!

First, I want to congratulate you. Your reports over the past several weeks have improved greatly.

I've spent my share of time sitting around El Centro; Plaza Botero, Parque Bolivar, Parque de LOS Periodistas, Parque Berrio and even the Prado metro station area. I've pulled out my phone in each place, with no problem.

However, when my phone is out, most of my attention is on my surroundings. If anyone approaches with purpose, the phone goes away. The problem isn't from having your phone out. The problem is focusing on the phone to the exclusion of everything else.

With that in mind, if I'm walking and need to look at my phone, I put myself in a place where I can check my surroundings and I stand with my back to a wall while the phone is out. If you're walking and looking at your phone you need to focus on the ground, on the area in front of you and the phone. That makes you an obvious target.

The numbers I have is that I eat dinner on a plastic stool often without table on the street around El Centro about 4 times a week, lunch about 3 times a week, coffee at least 2 cups / day. The only time I get into a car is to go to a club in other places.

First off a big shout out to Pollo Negro as he kept sent me videos and photos almost daily of our beloved Vera and Botero plaza as I am in California resolving some business before I return to my home in Medellin. Thanks PN as I yearn for my life in Colombia when I have to return to the states for business, the USA is pussy prison and when I am here I don't do little or no P4 P as my heart and life is in Medellin.

Of course I do not have any scientific proof / statistics of the number of stabbings and murders around the Botero plaza area, my statement that stabbings are not so uncommon is true and is based on (1) what I have personally observed in my past 2.5 years of hundreds of visits consisting of a thousand hours in the area both day and night (2) my many conversations with girls in the Vera and Botero areas and (3) a general observation after years of reading these boards and speaking in person with other mongers.

Yes the vast majority of the violence is with locals and a very small percentage happens to gringos in the vera and Botero plaza area, that's the good news the bad news is that the propensity of something bad happening to you with no other reason of being in the wrong place and the wrong time is exponentially great, so just be careful at all times.

I have witnessed a stabbing about a year ago, a punk boyfriend of a puta in the Vera stabbed her in the neck, she happened to be a puta who I had met on the street just the night before, she was rushed to a hospital and got like 6 stitches and bandaged up, she was back on the street in the Vera later that night, since then this one puta has been stabbed and beat up 2 or 3 more times. This is just one example, these things happen so quickly and 20 minutes later it is business as usual on the streets, you will never hear of it anywhere, this is just the way it is with life on the streets for these girls.

Don't want to argue or start any commotion my only point is to be careful and alert when in centro.

Hi. Just to clarify. If I were robbed but unharmed in el Centro I would unlikely report it as to avoid being questioned why I was there in the first place. If I was a tourist in Poblado then I would lean towards reporting it. Different environment. I would think that more crimes are reported in Poblado then El Centro where it is a way of life.

You say that as if you would have a choice in the matter. Victims do not just call the media and say come report on me because I have just been a victim (unless they are seeking compensation.)

I made a trip to the Yucatan Peninsula in about 2005, did Mexico City a year later. But the landscape has changed, I will probably never go back unless by some miracle they actually establish law and order to a reasonable degree.

The Real Beauty of being on the ground In Medellin for at least 30 days is that you can arrange many appointments with many of the beauties of Centro and Parque Botero. I happen to meet a strange looking White Vennie, but she had the biggest asset that I had ever seen on a white girl. She looked as though she was out of place being as white as she was, but the size of her asset made me take a big interest in her. I asked her name and she told me, I asked her how much it was for rato with her and she told me. Our first date was not so good, but every day that I saw her in Parque Botero, I just knew she had more to offer.

No matter how big of a show these girls put on in Centro, not many are doing well financially, and very few have more than enough money to get from day to day. I have listened to every story that anyone could imagine and still I did not pay any attention to anyone that I was not interested in. This girl called me 2 days after our initial date and I told her that I was very dissatisfied with her lackluster performance and the only way that she would get a second date with me was to be a very dirty girl in bed and allow me to have a bbbjwcim, she did not hesitate and asked me when was our next date. This occurred around Sept 2, 2019 and from that point on, every night around 9 pm-9:45 pm she would show up for a date and allow me to have my way with her.

Allow me to explain, even though this girl was on the heavier side and the curvy side, she could ride a pole with the best of them. She could suck bull through a drinking straw and after having numerous dates with her I found out that she loved to have sex in the k-9 position. The girls I have spoken to have openly told me to be aware of my surroundings at all times as they watch out for each other. One told me that on occasion she has warned mongers they know that they are being watched and they need to move from where they are.

Not saying that El Centro should not be visited, but when I go there my spider sense is constantly tingling.
