These are some of my thoughts and observation regarding sleeping in hostels and mongering in the Poblado area. Hostels are a very inexpensive forms of accommodation that are usually shared bunk bed from 2 bunks to 6-12 bunk, usually mix genders. It is super easy to find accommodation by just walking in since there are numerous hostels in the Poblado area. Some have private rooms. It can be a great atmosphere to meet single travelers from all over the world. I was able to check three hostels in the Poblado area while I was there in October and I just walked in at night without making any reservation and got my room. They are not that conducive to bringing a chicas in, but you can do it if you get a private room and you tell them that you are booking the room for yourself and your girlfriend and that she is coming later. The most you could do at the hostel is probably save money on the accommodations, and do your business outside like casa running during the day and the strip / night clubs at night.

This hostel is just three blocks walking to Parque Lleras. They have privates and mix bunks. I got a private room for 60000 pesos (30 USA) with bathroom outside the room. They said no problems with bringing your girlfriend in, but she just had to register when she comes. I was able to rest well in this hostel and met some interesting travelers including Colombian young travelers to my surprise. The people I met were not into mongering just into the partying at parque Lleras. Very nice and clean place and friendly staff. They have a kitchen that cooks only breakfast, very good food. They have salsa dance lesson once a week and a nice bar / music and many other activities. I slept comfortably in this place after 3 am because there is a techno club across the street with mad loud music on a Saturday night (I went to that Club and was pretty good). But overall, that hostel was a pretty nice experience and I recommend it. It allowed me to explore the area and.

A cheap apartment in Laureles. It is a great place to check the area, doing day casa runs, partying in parque Lleras and for exploring different neighborhoods until you find a more private and mongering accommodation like I did after a couple of days.

This is another nice hostel and just a couple of blocks from Parque lleras. The Colombian staff was not as friendly as the tiger paw hostel. They have privates and shares bunks / mix genders. They did not have a private room available so I took a shared bunk room for just $12 or 24000 pesos. The room was messy and with a funky smell cause of two messy backpackers sleeping there. There is a small bar that sells beers and drinks. They have a restaurant that serves breakfast only. This hostel was very noisy overall. People went to bed super late 4 am or 5 am, most travelers partying in Parque lleras and when they came back drunk they kept on talking loud forgetting people were trying to sleep. Don't recommend this place at all.

This hostel is a party hostel. It is located in Patio Bonito, which is a far walk from Parque Lleras. This place gets super noisy cause of the party atmosphere and lots of young international single travelers that came to Medellin to party and drink. Also, Colombian single travelers stay here. They have private rooms and shared bunk rooms. A private room is about $28 US and a shared bunk $11. They have a bar, a restaurant, a pool, lots of drinking here. Noisy place not conducive to resting, more conducive to partying and meeting world travelers and / or hooking up with a drunk girl at the hostel and then take her to your private room.

Conclusions: I don't recommend hostels for mongering at all. Only recommend as a short term and cheap.

Alternative to get yourself familiar with different areas until you find an accommodation in an area and price that you like. The share rooms are super cheap like $12 dollars a night and private rooms $30. It is a great place to meet other travelers but it is not that conducive to bringing chicas unless you book a private room and say a girlfriend is coming later and you would have to register her name when you register or when she comes. You can get a room at any hour of the day by just walking in without making any reservations because there are tons of hostels in the Poblado area.

Yakuza club and that other apparently nameless place over by Zandalay are two nice additions to the MP scene. New Life is trying to blow everyone out of the water and in a way it's working. But do you want to go to a place where the girls are getting run through a dozen times a day? Even if you are the first of the day, they are not fresh! Still, if you're just going for a BJ, they have some real winners in that department. I would recommend Dani, very sweet girl with a cute face and nice skills. Angie, a blonde, may have left but if not go with her. Incredible DT skills. There are a couple of negras from the Pacific region that are hot in bed, though neither is exactly stunning.

I am writing the information from the cards for those that could not read the pic of the Casa business cards and Hotel Medellin. Most cards were given to me by random guys as I was walking in the Centro area near Parque Berrio:

1) Chicas Punto Com, Open Monday to Sundays including Holidays. Calle 54 Caracas No. 49-97,2nd Floor Centro Comercial Boulevard de Caracas, Cell 321-7555120. They have a huge line up here. I was there on a Tuesday and the line up was of about 18 women, all types, skinny, fit, fat, beautiful, ugly, amazing, average. They supply.

You with a room, two condoms for the girl and bathroom.

2) Coffee Shop, promotion dates Tuesdays and Thursdays. Cra 45 El Palo No. 55-45 across from el Parque adero Sukar, phone 254 52 34. This was my favorite spot. The line line was of about 10 or more women when I went, all types, similar quality of chicas as Chica Punto. Some jewels in here.

A decent room, clean bed with a bathroom, there are drinks or beers if you want to drink there, girls get the condom, and there is also a mirror on the side of the bed nice to look while you fucking.

3) Afrodita, Monday to Saturdays from 930 am to 730 pm, Cra 45 El Palo No. 56-47, Cell 300 643 3054, phone 284 75 97, Service starting at 27,000 pesos. The line up.

Was of about 9 women when I went there. There were great looking, average looking and some no so good looking.

4) Yakusa Club, Cra 50 A No. 53-38 (behind Hotel Nutibara near parking lot of airport buses), Cell 310 530 4689 phone 231 7171.

5) Yakusa Club 2, Cra 48 No. 50-70 2nd floor diagonal to Coltejer, 310 530 46 89, phone 231 71 71.

6) Barcelona, calle 59 and 50-12 Prado Centro, blue door please ring bell, 321 724 1077, phone 254 29 94.

7) Paris Club, bar service, Cra 47 Sucre No 56-34, between Bolivar and Argentina, open everyday. Phone 511 08 70.

8) Las Kamasutras, service from 20,000 pesos, promocion with two chicas, Calle 57 A and 45-29 2nd floor, 3217836027.

9) Masajes Aiffe, Calle 57 #43-27 on Argeniina, Cell 311 761 98 50 phone 254 51 39.

10) Hotel Medellin (casa Blanca / la mansion), Carrera 43 #2 sur-50 website www.hotelmedellinm.com, phone +57 4 266-8626 from USA +1 312 546-4301. I found it very difficult to locate this hotel in El Poblado. It is located on a steep sort of hidden hill and not so close to Parque Lleras. It is best to make a reservation before going there. I could not find accommodations when I went there on two consecutive days.

We all are members or visitors here, not moderators or owners. Please show me in the rules where a non paying member or guest cannot request information, as it would be very appreciated.

Please show me in the rules. That is a term that is over used in our society. The fact is rules are guidelines and most expect that you wouldn't come in as a guest to sample and then continue to eat free.

Did you get the impression that tuapartamento in Laureles is chica friendly? My favorita wants me to rent an apartment in Laureles and I love that neighborhood anyway. Are all the apartments shown on their website in the building in Laureles?

Yes I did get the impression is chica friendly and is not a hotel and there is no security guard or doorman to check anybody in or out. It is your own apartment. I was there 4-5 nights total and saw a neighbor in the building only once. You just have to be discreet and use common sense, don't do anything illegal like bringing a minor, drugs or a rowdy party or bringing trannies to the place to upset the neighbors. There is a police station two blocks away so you don't want nobody call the police for something illegal. There is nothing illegal I Medellin for bringing someone over 18 to an apartment you paying for two even if it happens to be a hooker or prepago. I did not ask the question to the apt manager if the place was chica friendly I thought it was inappropriate question to ask and did not know his views on the subject. That question is for hotels or apart hotels that have reception check in not for normal apartments. As far as I know is your own place while you there with your key to building and the apt, therefore you are in control of who comes in and out of the place at any hour.

Halloween was a lot of fun had Mercury from Colorado and John from Canada here with me. After a day and night tour I set them up with girlfriends to go see the sites and both without a doubt told me it was the highlight of their experience in Medellin. The girls took them to different places but it was more about the interaction they had together that made the date so special! Its not east to do or experience on your own but I take care of my guys so look me up and enjoy the total package!
