For those of you who don't know, The Mansion is now called Casa Blanca and the Castillo is Casa Blanca 2. Both are still operated by Greg, Robert and Boyd and accommodations are still handled by Marcy at infoatmedellinmansion.com

Current updates are: Greg is on vacation out of country for three months. There are new girls being invited to the Mansion daily (as well as favorites on demand).

ALSO: Holy week is generally slow only Thursday and Friday but the boys are again offering a flat rate of $50 for ANY Mansion or Castillo room size available from the 1st of April to the 7th.

Just thought I would share some pics of few Paisas I was with last week.

Since only about 10 pictures can be posted at a time, I'll post a few different angles of the same girl individually instead of just different ones all in one post as done before.

This girl had 1st visited the Mansion some time ago but had taken a long leave away until last week. So on her first day back, I was happy to be the first monger to welcome her back.

Before all the rumors start flying and peopl start writing about ¨Ethnic Cleansing¨, or whatever it is that they say:

As of today, the Mayor's office is starting to close every single massage parlor that is located above Oriental, which includes most.

The mayor's office has deemed that these are predominantly resedential areas, and now, they will have to re locate.

An example of ones that will not have to move are Latinas, Latin Suite, Divina's Club.

An example of ones that will have to relocate: NewLife, Sexi, Relax, Zandaly, Geishas, Atenea, etc.

This is news as of today, I believe that they started with Relax this morning.

So the clubs will have to move to another part of town? which part? Do you see this as drastic changes to come?

I Still don't get it. Even Locals know El centro is dangeros. I live in Medellin almost all mi life and would not stay or go to the centro if I don't really need to. Is like every other city they are good places and bad places and el CENTRO is one of thoes bad places. There are alway cheap places togo and to be safe like. Luna lunera, sandiego show, neutron, or you can call escort websites like colombiascortvip, casaclublasvega, paisasdivinas, teseduce, lindasprepagos or you can go to diferent (casa) located on safer places of the city.

Not so. I felt really safe during the day. There's tons of people there. Normal people. Not your drug dealers and lowlifes. You can tell how safe it is when you see kids walk around with their parents. It's at night when it gets really dicey. You just need to take taxis directly to the El Centro stripclubs at night and not walk around.

Also, I understand these are chica-friendly hotels/resorts, but do they have their own Chicas hanging hanging around the hotel for you to choose?

Any info on how these two places work would be appreciated as I am planning my first trip to Medellin and I rather stay at a Gringo friendly place even though I'm fluent in Spanish.

I laughed throughout the post at K's experiences and could imagine what it must have been like for him.

I'm going to disagee on one point though. Even though nothing happened to K, I don't think that you or I would send a good friend of ours of equal experience and compentence (Spanish, mongeing, tavel, ect.) into Medellin alone like this kid did.

Sure, nothing happened and who knows maybe 6 times out of 10 nothing would but I would encourage newbies to find an experienced travel buddy or lean heavily on groups like the mansion. Just my opinion.

I agree,Mr. "K" is playing with fire,he will get burned it is just a matter of time. The bad guys spot a guy like him instantly,he just hasn't crossed paths with any of them yet. Cubanut did him a huge favor taking him under his wing,unfortunately his balls are growing faster than he is learning to speak spanish and gaining knowledge which I hate to say is going to bite him in the ass hard.

I have been traveling to CR for 8 years. I have family and friends there. And I went to Colombia, last summer in June and July and my best friend got killed right in front of me! Died! El centro med., knife attack, I don't want to relive it.

Anyways, stick to Costa Rica, better chicks and way safer!

Why would 'danger' care if you were either Canadian, American, European or Australian, etc?

My first year visiting Medellin I witnessed a guy being executed point blank.

As far as Costa Rica having better chicks, that's a matter of opinion, but I find that funny too.

If you like your chicas more professional, hard-core, plastic, cold, older, more expensive, etc, well then, Costa Rica wins.

Like Cuba says, if you're a newbie, limited spanish, etc, go to Medellin, stay at the Casa Blanca 1 or 2 (Mansion / Castillo), you'll be safe and surrounded by experienced guys and lots of chicas too.

PS ... Maybe learn a little spanish. The more you can speak, the better interaction, the more fun.

On second thought, scratch that, that'd be too easy :)

First time I went, I witnessed someone being executed (well about 100 feet away) in Mayorista. Not any consolation but at least it was targeted and not just random drive by shooting. I still went back the next night and the police was out in full force.

I stayed at Castillo the first time with limited spanish. After being taken around a couple times, I was able to go out on my own and explored El Centro. Which looked pretty safe in the daytime. Of course I try to blend in and no jewelry or flashing my camera around. Being in Medellin, it pushed me to learn spanish.

I agree. Let's not make Medellin too easy.

T'was my pleasure to meet, bulllshit and party with you for a spell. I found it interesting that many guys, including me, upon meeting you for the first time, had the same reaction: YOU RUINED MY LIFE! LOL I did appreciate the stories of Cuba during the day as well as the foray into the geneology of US Hispanics.

I missed out on the misadventures of "K, " but have seen my share of missteps, including my own during my times at the MM. Getting what you need and what you want while mongering is not a perfect science. While getting it perfectly right may be an impossibility, it is the journey that is the true delight!

BTW, I thought the lineup at the MM was excellent!

Medellin Centro is a place I really didn't feel safe and that was during daytime.

Of course you can always send a gringo in without any Spanish and he can get lucky.

I am sorry to hear about your loss. I am pretty sure Costa Rica is safer than Colombia on average places you go but. About better chicks? Hehe.

Nicas and Ticas are cool but I don't think they are as hot as Paisas.

But again we all have our own preferences.

Ticas are friendlier. At least from my experience.

But I had great time in BOTH.

Colombia is far more economic for sure if you stay over a week.

For me extra $100 I pay on air get quickly compensated with longer than 3 days stay at Colombia

Sure, I've been gun pointed and knife pointed in Colombia while it never happened no where else. But I think I will still return to Colombia.
