I've just had my worst mongering experience ever at la Isla. In general I found the chica's not to be that hot there, there were some I'd rate as 8 though. I went with a taller girl who had tattoo's all over her belly, fake tits, quite a hot body with almost no fat and quite a nice face which made me think she might have some Asian ancestors. Anyway she seemed quite nice in the general room but once we got to the bedroom she was all business. Then she got really pissed off, started insulting me and when we went outside she started insulting me in front of a girlfriend of hers. I was like WTF is this. I think it's just as easy to join the Alliance Francaise, take a cooking class, or do something similar to meet women for long term wooing. Time is the determining factor. You need a lot of it to make something happen over the Internet or meeting ladies in civilian venues. I could see doing it if I had time to kill on a long term trip. It's a way to break up the routine. It wouldn't work as a primary tactic for me at least.

With CC it depends on what you're looking for. There are some who are semi-pros, meaning they don't work at a casa, but still have a price list. There are others just looking for that WU novio. I think Latin American Cupid has a higher rate of the semi-pros.

With CC, your best bet is if you speak Spanish and stick closer to your age, if you're looking for actual dates. No 25 year old Paisa wants a 55 year old on top of her, unless there's going to be a payday. I guess this is why a guy in a fb group that I am in recently asked if everyone always takes the girl they meet on CC to dinner first. I was confused. If it is a chick you are supposed to meet for fucking, why do you feel the need to feed her first? The chicks inside New Life don't expect me to bring them lunch when I go in. I saw many large groups of obvious gringos walking around looking for women. These guys, mostly buffed guys in their 20's and 30's, looked so clueless and out of place that I felt embarrassed to be a fellow gringo. I'm guessing they read / heard stories from years back and were looking for a Parque Lleras that is long gone.

The men (both Colombian and Gringo) outnumber the women easily 2 to 1 in this part of town. And I'm guessing being a Gringo works heavily against you.

Other than to hit some of the nicer restaurants in the Provenzo area, I will steer clear of P. Lleras for the near future. It's still a beautiful area of the city, but it's probably the worse place for a Gringo to be these days.

What worked best for you? This is my second trip to Columbia, First to Medellin. I was in Bogota last year and seemed like I floundered.

IMHO, and as a person who put in much effort and planning using dozens of connections I cultivated on Colombian Cupid a few months before each of my past 3 trips to Medellin, well fact is the practicality of meeting one one or two or three of these girls over a course of a 2 week visit takes so much effort and planning that the end just never justifies the time and effort.

Let me tell you I worked it but because of the girls schedule, my schedule, their geographic location in the city, limited Spanish skills, it just is too much work. I will not attempt again unless I am in Medellin for a month or better. Trust me things come up that you can not plan for.

Just my experience over the past 2 years and 3 or 4 visits.

You're dealing with 2 different issues, which combined are creating the problem.

The first issue is Parque Lleras reputation. If you do minimal research, Parque Lleras sounds like another Sosua or Walking Street in Pattaya, free range pussy, fighting over who will work the cheapest for the gringo dollars. So the hordes all converge on Parque Lleras because they are looking at reports that are 8 years old. Most have no idea how to operate if the chicas aren't walking up and begging them. They never venture more than 3 blocks from their hotel and have no clue about the rest of the city.

The other issue is the city's response to Parque Lleras' reputation. They want a better image for the area. Rather than a big crackdown, which would also affect the crowd they want to keep, they practice low key harassment. The too obvious, too aggressive, get pushed out, the obvious sex tourist gets harassed. This means less women working the parque.

The result is lots more clueless gringos, milling around like lost sheep and lots less chicas, who are much more low key.

The solution? Don't go to Parque Lleras to get laid. It's a big city. Just 30 minutes of research will give you several other options. Options where there are more choices, no police harassment and much lower prices.

Believe it or not, Thailand, Philippines, DR, Brazil, Colombia, etc. Don't solely exist to provide low cost pussy to gringos. If the only benefit you see in a country is cheap sex, that country will soon be ruined for you. If you are coming for the cheap sex, so is everyone else. That means the price will go up. That means the service will go down. That means the locals will be less accepting. Eventually it means you'll no longer be happy with it.
