At the Hotel M club, there are many gringos that show up that do not stay at the Hotel. One night there were about 20+ girls at the club, and I was the only gringo there. They will go with you to your Hotel.

As far as Colombia not being a GFE destination, well your correct that for those with no Spanish speaking skills it can be a challenge to get this, for the Spanish speakers though it can be off the charts.
And everything covered and a bare bones experience, well this can be quite the contrary.
Just my personal opinions.

Hey guys,
Just to repeat for the 1 millionth time on the forum, be careful in Centro. Walking through that area at night was always sketchy, but with the new gates there, the Plaza is even more devoid of people at night. I didn't know that and I tried to take a shortcut from the SW corner of the Plaza (around the end of Calle 52) to Ave De Greiff where the strip clubs like Conejitas are. Previously the path around the outside of the museum to De Greiff was de-populated at night with maybe only homeless and trannies walking around so I didn't like going around outside. That's why I typically take a diagonal path through the Plaza. I've done this many times so I thought I knew what to do. But I realized too late that apparently now both paths are pretty empty. About 200 ft in 2 guys rush in from behind me and demanded my phone with both holding knives. I normally look behind me every once in a while if I'm in a sketchy place, but it didn't occur to me they can mark you from somewhat far away and run at you before you notice. Anyways I wasn't going to fight that. I just put the phone on the ground and let them take it. Phone was old, so not a big financial loss. But if you're tense and the thieves are tense, obviously things can go very bad.
As another poster said, I think after 8 pm the risk / reward of going to either Santa Fe in Bogota or Centro in Medellin starts tilting towards more risk. To be sure, I still enjoy both areas, in fact picked up a pretty one next day around the south side of the Plaza at 2 pm, but no more late night outings there for sure. The girls there are rougher and more hardcore, more aggressive trannies, more homeless, more groups of guys hanging around for no apparent reason.

How do I find the Escort Agencies in Colombia? Can you point me in the right direction? I see you mentioned it in your post.

As for the ease of the scene, it's going to vary depending on the individual. For the newbies, there's not much easier than staying at the Mansion. Even for an experienced monger, it's not a bad way to get started in Medellin. Admittedly, there are cheaper and better accommodations, but there are some benefits.
The casas do lack in the GFE department, but at 50 k for 30 minutes you can search for the good performers without spending much.
For the budget monger from the US, Medellin, or Bogota is hard to beat. It's much more accessible than southeast Asia and it's possible to get by for under $50 per day, including 1 or 2 girls.
However, everyplace has some drawbacks.

One thing I've always done when I'm hanging out in Parque Lleras is to walk down to Parque Poblado to catch a taxi. They are lined up in front of the park. I've had a few that I had to remind to reset the meter, and a few where the meter ran up quicker than normal, but mostly I've had good luck.
Another option for the disco and party people is to stay in Laureles. Plenty of clubs there.

The FB poster said that the crowd of people thought he jumped to commit suicide and landed on the girl and were about to finish him off until somebody said they saw him fall. I'm not so sure that should have made a difference. Either waty he was a careless.

If you wish to stay longer than 6 months you will need some other type of visa. If you're not already fluent in Spanish, one way is to get a student visa. If you prepay for 3 months of classes you can get a 6 month student visa. Before you ask, yes you have to actually take the classes. 3 months of Spanish classes costs around 3 million pesos.

(Hotel Egina, Hotel Asturias, Hotel Boliviarana.) all of which are guest friendly. Maybe you are talking about El Poblado places exclusively. But what Osteokot said is consistent with my experience in Laureles.

The nicer the hotel the less guest friendly they are which others have posted a million times. That is the rule. Of course you can find the exception.
If you are a disco and late night bar drinker than Centro is not the place to be. El Poblado is. I want to end my night somewhat near my accommodation especially if I get drunk or find a girl.
Transportation does matter. In the daytime you can go from El Poblado to Centro casas and Botero easy taking bus, metro, or taxi. But if you go the other way then things change. I believe the metro stops running at 11:00 pm and the buses stop even earlier. So if your are staying in Centro but want to party late in El Poblado you can take any transportation there but returning you will have to take a taxi (or Uber, Didi, etc.). The little details matter. I would like to visit El Poblado more often but hate dealing with taxis, especially late at night and if is raining they try to scam you on price.

I invested in a Dollar Store mirror for less than nine bucks. There were cheaper ones but this one was actually pretty nice without distortion and I'm going to hand it down to one of my novias when I leave on Wednesday.
The fotos are a small sample of the action you will get when a girl sees a mirror in your room including dancing with other girls. I did not ask any of these girls to pose for these shots, they did it on their own.
I claim they get moist and dewey inside from looking at themselves which puts them more in the mood, and improves their performance, jajajaja.
If you're just a wet mud hole fucker and this kind of stuff doesn't matter to you then forget about it which you probably have already done if you even read this far, jajajaja, perhaps I am delusional but I have this crazy idea that you can get a lot more bang for the buck, pun intended, with what should be a trivial amount of extra money for anybody who can afford to be here except maybe I do not have a good feel for the guys who are here on a shoestring budget. Keep On Keepin' On, Osteeeee Out!

There's always exceptions to the rule, as you can glean some more friendly girls from FB, but this is hit and miss and requires work. Few in this venue work regularly.
The language barrier is also significant. Many locals seem to assume that all tourists are fluent in Spanish, and if they can manage to speak fast and loud enough that you'll eventually understand them. Jajaja.
I travel to Medellin only because as a Floridian it is close to me and much cheaper than Costa Rica. If the exchange rate ever reversed on us I'd rethink that decision. If I lived in Southern Cal I'd likely just run down to Tijuana. If I lived out west or even Canada I'd be looking much more to Asia.
