The life of the Centro rat is more expensive since the Botero Plaza barrier went up. As reported by the Head Rat In Charge, Surfer, girls are routinely asking 40 K. Some of them asked for that much and more for some time now. The difference since the barrier went up is it's now more work than I am willing to do to get dates for 30 K. Thanks for designating me as the "Head Rat In Charge", but I really haven't been frequenting Centro as much as I used to, but did spend several days a few weeks back sampling the wares, and yes pricing has gone up, but I don't see it as a function of the barriers as you note as the pricing has been climbing for awhile now before the barricades.

Some of my regulars' who live in Menrique, and other strata one barrios are telling me how much things have gone up here for everything, no different than all over the world.

As an example, one of my regulars told me that where she lives, people are seeing their electric / water bills doubling, in some instances going from like 45 K to 90 K, and they don't have water heaters or natural gas where they live in Menrique. And an additional $ 10 USD for a utility bill may seem like chump change to some here, but not for those living in a Strata 1 barrio, that's easily a days pay or more.

Yet, you can still find fresh faces showing up in Centro who are not beauty queens, and Colombians, who will still quote 30 K, but not many.

The Venezuelans are another matter though, and much more on top of asking for a lot, especially from gringos, and those with no experience in Centro and limited Spanish speaking skills.

It must be really pressing on you to have to fork out another 5 K to 10 K for a rato in Centro, and I hope you don't have to take on a second job, or take out a second mortgage to finance your extracurricular activities in Centro as it is getting so pricey. LOL.

So I've been in Bogota for a couple of months, and I was considering coming over to Medellin. Only thing that's made me aprehensive is that there's so many posts here and in the Cartagena section complaining about safety or pricing or something or the other. Meanwhile, there's very little of that in the Bogota section. I know a lot of you guys strictly prefer Medellin over Bogota for mongering, so can you describe which parts are better? Are the girls hotter? The clubs better? Things closer together? I'm considering coming over to check out Fase Dos and La Isla so anything describing the differences would be great.

Also, in another post Nil mentioned the going rate at those clubs is 300 k for 45 minutes. Is there another rate for a shorter time?

Yeah a guy I know in Medellin who was showing me videos on his phone of how they manufacture their own synthetic drugs. Very dangerous stuff.

The guy made a perfectly reasonable request for information: how, in Medellin, can he most easily assemble a number of quality chicas to party with him and a group of friends, cost not being a serious constraint? "Reasonable" because the answer can't be found on an RTFF basis (i.e. by scouring through past posts on the thread). From what he wrote, there was no reason to conclude that he and his buddies are super naive or unduly cavalier about the risks of mongering on the quick here; just (like most of us) that they aren't overly paranoid.

Can't be found on an RTFF basis? True, but the answer can not easily be openly posted either. Help with contacts and numbers would require a personal message which requires a paid membership.

They are not naive? They think they are safe because they have security and a large number of people. That does not matter much when you come here not knowing crap and already assume you are safe.

I have read many of these party groups wanting information but never a post afterwards about it. Plus, these groups of guys are the ones screwing up prices and attitudes of the girls and post too much stuff on Youtube. Since they do not post afterwards they might as well contribute membership money.

If he had done any research at all he would say something such as. It's scary how prevalent this scam is killing people. 41 people this year alone, (that they know reported the drugging / robbery), probably more than 41 now. Be safe fellas!

If you must use tinder, never ever drink or eat with a tinder date. Always be up front before meeting that you "do not drink at all". If there still willing to meet, make it a priority to go to a short time love motel. It's also a good idea to snap a pic of your tinder date.

I think the "reply to post" ethic here should be to respond to a request if you have some useful advice / info to offer, and, unless the questioner has been egregiously rude / obnoxious, to keep the snide / negative reactions and comments to oneself.

For Snipe420, one additional suggestion--although I don't personally have any experience organizing the kind of bacchanal that you envision. JjBee62 gave you some useful suggestions (each of you perusing escort sites such as photoprepagos, mileroticos for your preferred types of chicas, or perhaps taking him up on the offer of his friend's middlewoman services)--this despite his overreacting somewhat to your "Obviously it won't happen" remark.

Another option, IF your schedule permits and you prefer to recruit chicas face-to-face without the risk of photoshopped pixs on the escort websites): Your first night here, visit one or more of the three highest-end clubs: GUSTO for independents; La Isla and Fase Dos for the best strip club chicas. As reported many times here, in GUSTO expect the hottest chicas to quote exorbitant (for Colombia) prices in US dollars but still relatively cheap ones by US standards. The two strip clubs, if I'm not mistaken, will have a fixed per hour fee for leaving with a chica. On site at these two clubs, the going rate is 300 mil (or a bit plus) for 45 minutes of bedtime, so be prepared to pay substantially more for "take out". Or you might be able to collect WhatsApp contacts and negotiate their coming to party at your place for the next several nights independently of their affiliation with the club.

All three of these clubs will have a quite large number of chicas available (the most at La Isla), especially Wednesday through Saturday nights: GUSTOs after 11 pm; La Isla and Fase Dos, starting about 9:30, but also best after 10:30 or later. If money not a constraint, GUSTO would lend itself best to quickly finding a number of girls ready on the spot to leave and party with you. Club addresses can be found in Google Maps or Waze.

It doesn't seem like you have done much research of your own and why don't you know how to work this site to obtain valuable information? It seems that you are not trying and just complaining that this isn't a traditional site. What are the other guys in your group doing? Are they attempting to research information also? Believe it or not this site is not the only information source out there. Who are you going to trust for security? Revealing your plans to anyone will let them know that their will be a lot of money involved and people talk and word gets around, especially when they know you have no idea how Colombia works and you don't know the city and you have absolutely no connections there. So basically you are trusting and at the mercy of others to guide you to wherever they what to guide you and you will go to wherever they want you to go if they can set out the proper bait that sounds good and irresistible. How would you even know what you will be getting into? There are ways of going about achieving success but the approach seems generic.

You have security that you got how and from where? Because you might want to google 'Yorvit Torrealba. ' he's one of many pro athletes in Latin America who had a family member kidnapped for ransom, that was arranged and caused by (wait for it) his security. But, of course, your "plans won't change" no matter how much advice you get from guys who are seasoned veterans here. Good luck with that. Um yes, if taking an Uber or a cab, a good way to get to Parque Llleras would be to say 'vamos a Parque Lleras. ' Or even, 'Parque Lleras por favor,' which would be more polite. Then Calle 10, the part near Parque Lleras vs. Just Calle 10 in general, is where a lot of hookers have moved, since there have been periodic crackdowns in the park itself.
