I always go to ATM before the weekend hits because the ATMs run out of money and the lines are long. But I ran out of money on a few weekends and actually got lucky late Saturday (maybe it was Sunday). The ATMs pay out the big bills first. When I got there all the 50's and 20's were gone so it was spitting out 10's so I stocked up both times. Do not rely on this method. But as you pass by an ATM on the weekend pay attention to the people counting their money as they walk away and see what denominations they have and maybe get in line.

There are a couple up on Ave Oriental, close to the La Playa intersection. BodyTech is one of them. Can't recommend bcos I don't go to those places. Those are not the type of muscles I look to flex.

Hello, with some much talk about Gustos on this forum, I am wondering if anyone can tell us how Lleras Park Nightclub has been recently? I found it to be better on Friday and Saturday night than Gusto's last trip and the women can be had for no more than $80-120 USA Dollars. They are all freelancers in the club.

Just a nota bona for you guys out there, there are various ways to break the 50 k bills.
1) use them at a big store when getting a 10-20 k recarga for your sim card.
2) go to a big casino at la playa and get smaller notes at the cashier box.
3) use it to buy a 5 k metro card.
4) use an ATM at an open colpatria or davivienda branch (lots in the malls) and walk to the teller and they give you as many 10-20 k notes as you want.

Just want to add another method that I've been using for years, and you don't need to step away from ATM LOL.

If you're using Schwab or Capital One or other card that refunds ATM fees then after your main withdrawal of 1 or 2 millions just make 1/2/3 withdrawals 80 K each. You'll receive 4/8/12 20 K bills.

If you're still using the card with ATM fees then just select other amount and enter 1,980,000 instead of 2,000,000 or 980,000 instead of 1,000,000 and you will get 4 20 K bills right away.
One more time reminder for new members - ALWAYS decline conversion at ATM!

I had an appointment at 10 AM in El Poblodo. I had a online meeting from 9 AM t0 10 AM on a short notice. I figured the park would be quiet so I had my meeting in the park. There were a couple of street artists selling painting or portraits. THere were also a row of tents selling souvenirs, same as Plaza Botero. Most of the surface on the surrounding streets were painted. There were two girls working. I noticed many features of the park that I did not notice at night. There were many groups of gringos around the area. I couldn't help and took this picture.

A whisky and coke used to be about 25 mil at La Isla. You get a table and pretty good service from a waiter whether you are alone or with a group. A session was about 270 the first time I went to the club. I remember there was no cover at Fase2 before and on site session was about 160 mil. I could be wrong with these numbers as it was before Covid

I also visited La Isla Monday night with fellow new bee from here. just to chk out the talent. They charged 40 mil cover weekdays. And 220 mil for 6 corona small size bottles. if you want to seat upfront then you must buy big liquor bottle.They are nuts. And fase dos is no different. Went there with seasoned ISG member on Friday night. cover was 30 mil and For Absolute vodka 200 or 250 ML bottle, it was 220 mil peso. Yikes. Parque lleras Vennies will quote 300 mil for 1 session. They have union over there. Haha.

And pick up bars were even higher 300 to 350 mil peso for chicas and bar fine of 100 mil peso. Its like you need HELOC to go to Colombia now. HaHa.

Is it possible they are doing different things on different nights? One night where it is slower could be 50 and a night where they had all going on that you say, the price could be jacked up to 80. You both could be right.

In terms of amenities I have heard premier Plaza is better, I've only used it as a short time hotel, whereas with Calle Real I lived there for about a month back in 2021. I know Calle Real had a mini fridge in the room, a decent bed and flat screen TV with HDMI hook up for connecting a laptop and also had hot water.

I believe they said the room I used to stay in with the windows was going to be turned into a jacuzzi room, so they may offer a jacuzzi sweet at Calle Real now.

Wow great to hear from someone who has personal experience with both hotels, I am planning to book one of them for one day and then decide where to spend rest to the time after looking on both when I reach there, I have to visit Medellin from August 3 to August 23 , I know that this area is a little dangerous (I have been there only 2 times but only in daylight) , do to think its too dangerous to stay there as you have personal experience staying that area?

La isla use to be 20 k entrance and a mixture of people between locals and tourists. Taking the girl upstairs was 300 mil. The girls were truly hot and they use to be open to whatever desire you had and if one girl wouldn't another would.

Now its 80 k to enter the girls are not as hot and they won't do basic things like BBBJ etc. And their prices to take them out is a million min just for them.

This has happened because gringos are going and half the time they're not even banging these girls and paying them a million cop to dance and cuddle. This is the pathetic trend. Then these idiots come home and talk about how they're bagging such hot girls and how ez it is when I'm reality they're just paying prostitutes.

I have personally seen guys pay 1000 usd to a girl there. She was a friend. She told me the guy barely had sex cause he was too wrecked to get hard.

Yes and the buzz that we hear, the videos of people walking around spewing their BS bring more of the same. Then idiots making it rain. Kinda like the USA hip hop world mentality, big asses and stupid people. HEY, look at me I have $. The hot girls are still there. They are more selective now. Cost maybe 20-40% more. Still incredible. You won't find them in the US under what $300 for an ugly SW? . Patience and persistence is now your best game. I found 2 extremely good looking girls, got their numbers and had them meet at my hotel 2 days later. Never left my seat, was polite to everyone (even the fatties) and succeeded. I'll be back in 3 weeks. It takes 9-10 hours on a plane from Vegas (or me) . Florida is 3-4, NYC is 5. No wonder it's full of shit for brains people. (just kidding).
