I'm also really into nonpros and semipros as I've written about and have previously written about some of those experiences. I primarily use Facebook but have also started to use Instagram and tinder a bit. I've written about some of my methods for finding nonpros and semipros in previous posts on Facebook. I don't bother with paid services like Seeking or Colombian Cupid as Facebook has generally been a good source of girls for me. For safety my advise is always to chat as extensively with girls as possible and ask for social media (if you meet them on tinder) as well as about jobs, studying, barrio etc.

Now, my primary goal (this is my 5th trip) has been to develop a stable core of girls I can see in the future. However, I'm not interested in making loads of those sorts of friendships. I also went out with another girl like that (costena) I met on tinder for coffee who was at least a cheap date. She was nice enough but no clear chemistry. I played up the body language game touching her arm, shoulders, brushing her hair etc and even asked her about things but didn't get a great response from her. But conversation and company for 10 am coffee weren't bad for the price of taxis and a cup of coffee.

4) Finally there are some semipros who will just assume you know that they want money without asking for it. This is not a bad thing necessarily unless you are expressly avoiding paid sex. These tend to be younger and poorer girls. You should easily be able to figure this out, though, when you talk to them either in person or over chat. If you are trying to avoid paid sex, I'd talk about how you prefer "sexo con atracion mutuo" vs. "sexo pagado" and see what their reactions are. She paid for her own taxi to the date at a Peruvian restaurant in Laureles. She paid for our metro fares around the city as we went up to the Parque Arvi line afterward. Those sort of little gestures are a huge positive sign for me that I'm not dealing with an interesada. There was also lots of hand-holding and hugging from the beginning of our date and she made sweet gestures like giving me an earbud to listen to music and offering me use of her phone's hotspot when I was having internet issues. I just got back from 8 days in Medellin and want to share my experiences with dating, semipros, casas and strip clubs. It helps me put my thoughts down as I process things and hopefully can be helpful to all of you who want current intel. I'm not a big fan of the strip club model in Medellin or generally (though I've had some fun at Mexican strip clubs), but I decided to give it a shot with my friend and spent a night there. We ordered a bottle of Ron Caldas and a couple of drinks for his girl he already knew and a good-looking, slim white paisa from Bello for me and spent a couple of hours talking and listening to the music. The culture here seems to be that they hang out and talk but don't sit on your lap or do crazy things as much as my experience in Mexico. Drinks were pretty reasonable (7 k for beers for girls) and the bottle we split was 100 k. There used to be a place similar to a bookstore or something on the second floor that you can get SIM card in the airport . You have to ask because it may not be on display. You can kill sometime while trying to find it but I don't know if it is still there.

Once you are in the city, if it is still early and you want to kill some time. Go to Botero Plaza to sightseeing. There is a WOM store by the white church Veracruz. They usually have staff that can speak English. You can pay 20 mil for 30 days or whatever days you need for less cost, but you need to have your passport with you. This will register your phone in their system so it won't be locked after 30 days. The official stores like this are more like full service and stores of this provider usually are less busy. The other providers often have longer lines I think because they offer more services

There is a cafe that is part of the museum. You can order something and sit on the patio to people watch if you have time to kill.

There are many neighborhood stores that sell SIM. These are like the airport one, and they may be able to help you setup SIM card and put data in your SIM.

Then there are street vendors. Yo can only buy SIM which is normally 5 mil but you can get it for 3 mil in some places. You need to go to GANA to show your phone number and name of the provider to put data on the phone. I think the least expensive plan is 5 mil. GANA is everywhere so you won't miss it.

No matter where you get your SIM make sure you go to the service provider (Claro, etc.) and have it registered properly (if you bought it from a company store they would do that when they first install it) Otherwise that phone will be locked out after 30 days, and the lock is on the IME of the phone, so you will never be able to use it in Colombia again.

Happened to me. You may be able to get that lock removed on a subsequent trip, but you can only do that by going back to the original provider, with the phone number, passport, etc. Took me a couple of days.

I purchase a iPhone 11 (cheap) a while back. So I always travel with two phones when visiting foreign countries. I keep the main one at hotel / airbnb (newest iPhone) and just walk around with the 11 (wouldn't care that much if someone steals it) I use google fi esim function and terminate service when I arrive back in the states. Esim saves the hassle in going to a cell store in a foreign country. But yes, make sure your phone is unlock. Also, not sure on android but iPhone can have 2 lines active for the ones that travels with just one phone.

Could you share info on what company you use. I am sort of Familiar with the e sim I use it as my main sim back home and was able to get a physical sim to use simultaneously while in Thailand but I didn't know you could get an esim in a foreign country as well?

Hey guys, this is my first post but I've been a long time reader of this thread. I have traveled to Medellin about 4 times in the past two and a half years and have found some decent success. I find myself now looking to expand into other ways of getting girls and building up a solid roster I am completely happy with. The pros are that you get lots of variety and can make a list of girls you're interested in quick. I was just in Medellin over Christmas. I went all over, from El Centro to San Antonio del Prado. I walked, drove and took the Metro. In Colombia a group of guys will walk right up to you in broad daylight and attack you for it in the front of 50+ people. The people will only watch and will not help you. Seen that many times.

Colombia is flat out a different animal in comparison to most other monger locations for two main reasons in my eyes. First, there are very few of us to support the others and no "foreigner" areas where huge numbers of foreigners can be found so you are basically on your own. Second, is the huge amount of Venies that need money to survive and to send back home.
